Please contact Darlene at 302-312-5129 (fureverpawsdogrescue@gmail.com) for more information about this pet.  This dog is located in Newark, DE. Visit us on the web at https://fur-everpaws.com/fur-ever-paws-adoption-application/ to submit an application. Please contact the foster directly at 302-312-5129 (text or call) or via email at fureverpawsdogrescue@gmail.com Fur Ever Paws Dog Rescue is a small no kill rescue operating in the Delaware/Maryland area. We are a 501(c)(3) non-profit that rescues and places homeless, neglected or abused dogs from high-kill shelters in the south into loving, responsible committed and permanent homes. We feel our comprehensive adoption process which includes not only taking the time to match the dog to the prospective new owner but helping to educate that owner in responsible dog care, allows us to find the best homes for our little buddies and the best companions for you! Each week we use USDA certified transports to bring dogs from high-kill shelters in the south to our fosters where they all receive the appropriate medical care and are placed in nurturing loving homes while they await placement in their forever homes. Interested in one of our dogs? Great! Now that you've seen them here you'll need to go to our website where you'll find our list of adoptable dogs (updated every week). Then, it's just a simple process of finding a dog you're interested in and filling out an application on our site. Once we receive your application, whoever is fostering that particular dog will contact you and do a short over the phone interview to complete your application process. If everything works out, they will set an appointment with you so come out and "visit" with the dog you're interested in (we want to make sure that not only are you a good fit for the dog but that the dog will fit with you). If everything works out, you'll be able to take rover (or spot, or jax) home with you that very day. A couple of things you should know: We can't hold dogs over the phone or via email. Adoption fees vary based on breed. All of our dogs have been vet checked and dewormed (if possible due to age, additional treatment may be needed). We provide a spay or neuter voucher to all of our adopters. &#226&#128&#139 December 9, 2024, 1:59 pm

Story
Name: Buster Sex: Male Estimated Age: About 4 years old Best Guess for Breed: Terrier Mix Weight: About 86 lbs Lives With: Dogs and people! Housebroken? Yes, Buster is potty trained. Story: Buster was born into our care - one of our very first litters when our rescue first began. Unfortunately, Buster’s adopter is experiencing major life changes and needs to move suddenly out of the country. Buster is now looking for a new family. Buster is a happy sweetie who loves people and gets along great with other dogs and puppies. He knows just how to get comfortable up on the couch with his humans, and will love to join you on walks and trots around the neighborhood. Buster is just looking for someone to be his new best furend and we know that he will repay them with endless amounts of love and tail wags. Like all dogs, Buster will need an adopter who is committed to setting him up for success by enrolling in obedience training and exercising him both mentally and physically. He will also need love, patience, and socialization in order to thrive! The fee to adopt Buster is $450. That covers the cost of all his vaccines, his neuter, the collar he’s wearing, his transport to DC and his care in his foster home. He’s up to date on all age appropriate vaccines. Buster has been seen by a local vet and has been given a clean bill of health. If you think that Buster might be your perfect match, apply today!       December 8, 2024, 8:37 pm

Story
Hi! I’m Daphne, a petite pittie or Staffordshire mix weighing 40 pounds and around 4½ years old. Adjectives to describe me: friendly, playful, smart, loyal, affectionate, and spirited. My foster parents found me on July 5th, alone on a busy road—malnourished, thirsty, and overheated—but still VERY friendly. My former owner didn’t want me, but everyone says I’m way too good for him! I’m housebroken (I’ll sit politely at the door when I need to go out) and crate-trained. I’m also very smart and know commands like “sit,” “down,” “outside,” and more. I’m up to date on vaccines and meds, love playing tug, solving puzzles, zoomies, and belly rubs. I’m great with kids and even lived with a toddler before. I mostly ignore other dogs but enjoy playing if they’re interested—especially boys! If you’re looking for a loving, playful, and loyal companion, I’d love to meet you. Please complete an application at LovePaws to get started: https://lovepawspg.org/browse/adopt-or-foster-application/
