Meet MERCI! Sweet Merci is about 4 years old, 39 pounds, female, white and brown terrier mix. This sweetie is such a happy gal; sauntering over with butt wiggles to greet everyone she meets with face nuzzles. What makes her extremely happy personality even more redeeming is that it is clear Merci has not always been properly cared for. Merci settles down for a nice nap or just to hang out with her people. She is learning to enjoy the creature comforts in her foster home. It took a few days to figure out the soft comfy dog beds were for her and she did not have to sleep on the hard floor! She has done well with other dogs. Merci has great house manners. Poor Merci has not always been properly taken care of; she arrived at the shelter with a cherry eye, some patchy fur, and heartworm. Because she was so so sweet, the shelter made an urgent plea to save her....PetConnect Rescue was able to come to her rescue, bring her to the DC area to a great foster, and will give her the necessary medical care she needs. Her eye already has been surgically fixed, the fur/skin will resolve with good food and care, and she will be treated for heartworm. So now Merci has left her horrible past behind and is ready to find her new, and this time, forever home. She has so much love and happiness to give to her new family for many years!
