🌙 Meet Moon: Our Little Lunar Wonder! ✨ They say the moon shines brightest in the dark, and our sweet girl Moon is proof of that! At just 6 months old, this resilient little pittie pup is already capturing hearts at Perfectly Paired Pitties. Moon is deaf and she doesn't let that stop her from living her absolute best life. Moon has full vision with no deficts noted. Her night vision may not be as strong as most dogs due to missing tapetum (which is a reflective layer at the back of the eye). This does not affect her normal tay time vision and is not expected to worsen over time. She is a total lovebug who takes her snuggle duties very seriously. At night, she loves to curl up right next to you, and she’ll even wake up for a quick second just to nudge you and make sure her favorite human is still there. 🐶❤️ ⚠️ Status Update: Moon is not yet available for adoption while we work with our trainers to teach her the hand signals. She will be spayed soon. However, she would love for you to follow along on her journey! He was surrendered to me by a homeless man who just wanted a better place for him. He’s super sweet, joyful/jolly, funny and very cuddly. He’s better off being with other dogs too and he’s great on a leash doesn’t jump up or try to escape. His name is Loki and he’s about 5-6 months old.

Meet Athena, a sweet senior girl at almost 8 years young looking for her forever home. She LOVES: - People! especially adults. She's okay with any adult coming into her home & giving her cuddles and/or walks. She loves the cleaning ladies and her daily dog walkers. - Treats! Cheese is her favorite and she knows the word. Her hedgehog! She uses it to self-soothe when she gets overwhelmed. She just sits on her bed and mouths it when she's overstimulated. Tennis balls are a close second. - Walks! especially on the trail. There are so many smells and she loves to walk for miles. For the most part she will loose leash walk and redirect easily, but she definitely has some terrier in her and might lunge for a squirrel. - her clothes! She loves a hoodie and she's quite fashionable. She gets very excited when I put her sweaters on her. - Sunbathing! She loves to sunbathe on the back deck. BACKGROUND: Athena was abandoned with her 10 pups in Puerto Rico in the middle of a violent rain storm, she was rescued by a good Samaritan who took them inside to safety. Traveling up to Virginia in 2019, she was adopted by a family that loved her very much. Four years later, her family had a small human of their own, and Athena did not do well adjusting as they became mobile. Athena is physically healthy, though a pesky floating kneecap can sometime bother her if she's been running around a LOT. She may also have some allergies that affect her skin. KNOWN WITH DOGS: Athena is dog selective. She prefers to just coexist. KNOWN WITH CATS: Athena did not react well at an event with cats. KNOWN WITH KIDS: Athena would prefer to not live with kids. KNOWN CUES: She knows basic commands - sit, down, push-up, shake (both sides), spin, touch, and good at agility. She's very smart and eager to learn! She's working on: - Leash training. She's working on some leash reactivity to big dogs, school buses, and the mail man. - Listening when she's overstimulated KNOWN HOUSEBREAKING AND/OR CRATING: She is absolutely amazing in the house: - crate trained (she doesn't need it, she's trustworthy enough to free roam) - house broken - Trustworthy. She's never chewed on something that wasn't hers or tried to jump on the counter.
