Hi there! I am a lovable little puppy! Even though I am cute as a button I will take some work as I adjust into my new home. Hi! My name’s Houston. I'm a four-year-old boxer mix boy and kind of a beefcake at around 80 pounds. (I'd argue that it's all muscle, too.) One of the things I want most in a forever home is a human friend to hang out with, not doing anything in particular, just a couple pals spending time together. Wouldn't that be amazing? I'm a little shy at first, but if you'll give me a few minutes to get to know you, we'll be besties. And I promise to be your snuggle pup! Really, though, I’m way too smart to laze around 24/7. I know sit, down, stay, high five, orbit, between, and wait. Learning tricks is one of my favorite activities and I can pick up new ones in just a day or two. I love to run outside and play in water from the hose. In case I wasn't clear enough on that, I LOVE PLAYING IN THE WATER!!!. My favorite game of all is tug of war. (I'll even let you win sometimes!) I’m kennel trained, house trained, and am good at being left alone. In fact, I do some of my best snoozing in my crate while I wait patiently for you to come home. I’d do best in a home with older children because I’m still learning how to contain all my excitement around the little ones. Since I've been looking for a home for a while, I think I'd prefer to be the only doggo so I don't have to share. I’ve got so much love to share and I absolutely cannot wait to meet you! Smokes is the sweetest girl. I've had her since she was 6 weeks old. She has been the baby-glued to my side, in my bed, following me everywhere...Until I had a baby 10 months ago. She was great with him until he started crawling. She has nipped twice at him. She did not break skin. She has never been aggressive toward anyone-including my 11 year and her friends. I believe she is jealous. I am terrified of her hurting my baby. She has been gated away from him and therefore me, for a month. She is very unhappy. She is not living her best life. My baby is stuck like glue to me like she used to be. It kills me to rehome her but I am too nervous to let her roam freely like she should. She is great with my pyraneese and our 3 cats. She loves to play but is fine being left at home for 6 hours while I go to work. She would be so happy with a back yard and a person to cuddle her. She would be on their lap every moment if they let her. I would not bring her to a home with small children.
