In early 2025, The Operation Save a Shelter Dog was contacted about three dogs that were tethered on chains and abandoned by their owners who moved away. The rescue took swift action to help the dogs only to realize, one of them, Arabella, was pregnant. Soon after, Arabella gave birth to a mix of 11 (7 girls and 4 boys) healthy and happy puppies. Born on February 27, 2025, Xavier Colin is a Staffordshire Terrier mix. He is estimated to weigh between 25-40 pounds when full grown. He is up to date on vaccinations, microchipped and spayed. He is being fostered in Hampton, VA and can be transported to nearby locations for the right home. Please note, a transport fee may apply.

There are other dogs in this home. Sheba prefers to be an ONLY dog so this has presented a bit of shuffling in the home. To keep the dogs separated, they have to rotate the dogs out of their crates. Sheba would love to have a permanent home where she wouldn't have to be shuffled about. She loves people. She is spayed, up to date on all vaccinations, on heartworm and flea preventative and is in tiptop shape. Could you be the guardian angel that Sheba has been waiting for? Meet Maisie, everyone! She's a marvelous girl! Maisie is approximately 2-3 years old and weighs 50-60 pounds. Sweet Maisie has not been to the vet yet, so we don't know her heartworm status. Maisie loves to play and loves people! When she is out of her kennel, Maisie doesn't show much interest in the other dogs, but she has gone up to say hi to Kobey a few times. Maisie does very well on the leash, keeps her kennel clean, and seems to be house trained. The volunteers described her as very sweet and playful. ! Whether it's playing, running around, or hanging out snuggling in your lap; with Maisie, you will have love that is always loyal!
