American Staffordshire Terrier Husky

Male, Young
Portsmouth, VA
Size
(when grown) Large 61-100 lbs (28-45 kg)
Details
Good with kids, Good with dogs, Good with cats, Needs experienced adopter, House-trained, Spayed or Neutered, Shots are up-to-date,
Story
Comet was on death row at a pound in California, near where I was living at the time. I was able to adopt him minutes before he was euthenized. He is now about 2 years old. He is so, so sweet and smart but he has separation anxiety and I dont have the time or resources or knowledge to train him out of it. My scheduling is getting increasingly busy and he deserves to have a home with people that will be around to train him and love on him. He is a sweet, active, playful boy and loves to go on jogs and walks. He is nervous about new things but with some patience, food, and practice, he learns fast. He is leash reactive but otherwise does great with other dogs and cats. He needs to be in an active home with someone that can work with separation anxiety. He his a high jump clearance so he cannot be in a yard with a low or chain link fence. I would not recommend he be left in a yard unsupervised unless he is trained with an underground or wireless fence.

Story
Pinky is currently in foster and doing great! Her foster`s report she is house trained, crate trained, does well with the cat in the home and loves belly rubs. Here`s what else they have to say`I think one of my favorite things that Pinky does is smile when I get home from work, afterI`ve been gone all day (my boyfriend was home, or got home much earlier then I) and shegets super excited and starts smiling at me. I also love how I am never lonely at home. Shelikes to follow me literally everywhere, whether that`s cleaning, watching tv, or studying, sheis very curious with everything. Also if you stop giving her bellyrubs she will lay on her backand wiggle side to side until she gets more. She loves showing off her toys as well.`

Breed: American Pitbull Terrier xAge: 3 yearsSize: MediumEnergy Level: HighChloe is a spirited, intelligent girl with a big heart and a love for her canine companions! She thrives in the company of other dogs and would enjoy having a playful pup sibling to romp around with. Chloe has a lot of energy and would make a fantastic adventure buddy for someone who enjoys staying active. While she enjoys her walks and playtime, Chloe is a bit of an introvert at heart. Large crowds can be overwhelming for her, so she’d do best in a calm, structured environment where she can relax and feel safe.Chloe prefers the company of older kids and adults—she can be uncomfortable around small children, so she’s looking for a home with kids aged 12 and up.If you’re looking for a loyal, fun-loving dog who just needs a little space and understanding, Chloe might be your perfect match. Come meet her and see if you’re the calm to her storm!Ideal Home:*No children under 12*Another friendly dog is a plus*Calm, quiet home environment*Active lifestyle to match her energy*Understanding of her space and stimulation needs
