Story
**Special Needs****Willow can be seen by appointment only with an approved application**I'm Willow, a 10 year old, black and white Staffordshire Terrier mix. I came from Minneapolis Animal Care and Control, after being found stray in Minneapolis. I was a favorite of many of the volunteers there. And the people here at Animal Ark also like me a lot, too! I would do best in a home with a fenced in yard and dog savvy people who can help me feel safe and secure. Any potential adopters would need to come to the shelter and meet me multiple times to gain my trust. I would also need a home without children or cats. Once I fall for my people I am 100% loyal. I most enjoy spending time with my volunteer friends and going for walks. I can also be a big goof-ball! I turn in circles and wiggle my whole butt when I want your attention!

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Midnight Lagoon found himself unwanted in a  high kill shelter in West Texas. He is good with other dogs and kids, cats are unknown.  All dogs and puppies require supervision and training.  Do you have what it takes to love me? My name is Midnight Lagoon and I've had a long road in my short life. I came from Texas early February 2023 in pretty bad shape. It's taken a lot of timeand work, but I slowly learned that all people are not bad. I'm human and dog selective, but most humans can win me over with tasty treats pretty quickly. I have a lot of stranger danger and I require slow introductions and don't like eye contact at first. But it won't be long until I let you gaze into my beautiful dark eyes. I would do better with no or older kids as I don't know my own strength, especially when I get excited. I'm curious and stubborn, sweet and sassy. I love to sleep under covers or in the sunshine. I have hardly any prey-drive, but I will chase a deer if it sneaks up on me. I'm doing great working on my leash reactivity. My foster mom says that I do better every day. I do pull some in the beginning of my walks but after I do my business, I tend to take it easy and just enjoy the walk. I really like to take my time and sniff all the sniffs. I am house and kennel trained and I will let you know when I have to go to the bathroom. I'm very good at playing by myself when my foster sister and brother won't play with me, but I also love to play with my foster sister. I can get kind of rough but so can she. I am a vocal player, so any dogs I play with have to be ok with my vocalizations. I have had good luck with both male and female friends, but some males don't like me that much. I would LOVE someone who runs or hikes as I love to explore new places. I just need to continue working on my reactivity. I'm a very good boy with a very big heart and I deserve a happy home and someone to love me unconditionally. Some fun additional information about Middy Midnight just loves trailers. He loves to jump in and inspect the inside and outside of trailers any time he sees one. He is very inquisitive!  Midnight would love a human who is a runner or someone who likes to take long walks or hikes. He enjoys burning off energy as much as a good belly rub. Midnight is nuts for a flirt pole. He likes chasing the fox but enjoys catching it even more. He is getting better and better at 'leave it' so we can continue playing. He is also learning 'enough' for when he gets too excited about the little boy next door running up and down the hall. A firm 'enough' and a treat quiets him right up.Please put in your application on our website mattysheartandsoulanimalrescue.rescuegroups.org.      Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.July 25, 2024, 11:44 pm

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. //   Find our applications at www.midwestanimalrescue.orgAdoption Fee $350 plus taxHowie is a cuddly darling! He’s a little clown who will make you smile every time you look at him.  He adores children and wants to play! He has a fierce bark, but immediately wants to make friends with anyone who comes in the door.  He still has his puppy energy.  He loves his rubber chew toys. Plays fetch and tug of war.  He is house-trained and trusted to be left uncrated throughout the day. He sits, and is fast learning other commands. He has gotten really good at walking on leash. That being said he does have basset hound in him so by instinct of his breed, he wants to pull once he gets on a track and needs to be reminded to “heel”. He does best with slow intro's to other dogs.  He’s going to be a great family dog, He's house trained and extremely smart with a goofball personality! Sometimes the pets appear to be a particular breed(s) in the pictures we receive from our rescue partners and when they arrive we are surprised to see an entirely different breed(s) in person!  If you choose to DNA test your adopted pet, test results may vary from company to company and our breed guess may not be reflected in those results as it is just that, our best guess. It is with deep longing that we wish there was a breed called 'cute' as we believe all of our dogs would fall under this new breed classification! Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. //   Find our applications at www.midwestanimalrescue.orgAdoption Fee $350 plus taxMatzo aka Reggie, was adopted from the Auto show to a home with two female boxers, unfortunately they have decided he is too much.  He is a teenager who never got the proper training and needs a bully savvy owner who will tell him no!  He has gone to play groups at daycare and loves the boxers a little two much and is kind of trying to constantly engage. He went to doggy dycare and was also super excited to have friends to play with. 'OK with dog savvy cats' Matzo is a smart cookie as well; he already knows how to sit, lay down and shake. He is all set to make you deal with being his new best friend. He is learning his crate and that being home alone is ok, it is only for a little bit. At this time Matzo would do best in a home where his people are home more often than not- He is doing well with leash walking and is definitely a snuggler.  He is talkative when he plays and that is all boxer.Auto Show Alert: I was selected to attend the Auto Show to say hi and share a smile! I will be there on 3/30 from 11am to 3pm. 4/5 4pm to 8pm & 4/7 4pm to 8pm.
