Visit our FAQ page to learn why. Harriet and her sister came to ADR as two tiny puppies found on the Red Lake Reservation in December. We estimate they were born mid-November. Harriet spent a few months with her sister in a foster home with other puppies before moving to her current foster home, an urban apartment in a dog-friendly building. Harriet is very much a happy, wiggly, silly, energetic puppy. She is very attached to her foster mom and foster sister (a golden retriever). She loves running and playing with other dogs. She can be a bit shy at first with new people but is getting lots of opportunities to socialize. She goes a couple times a week to a pool while her foster sister practices for dock diving competitions. Harriet has not jumped yet but she shows potential. She is doing well with house-training and can go for hours without an accident when foster mom needs to go to the office, she walks well on a leash and will do great in obedience class. She is not fond of being kenneled so she usually has free reign of the apartment when left alone. We are working on short stints in the kennel to increase her level of comfort in the crate.Harriet's adoption fee is $500, which includes vet exam, age-appropriate vaccinations and tests, microchip, and spay or neuter. Introducing the new McDonald's combo meal, McDaddy and his sister wives, lol, McMuffin and McFlurry were saved in a McDonalds drive through where they had been living for months :( One sister McFlurry has been adopted into a fantastic home! McDaddy and McMuffin are waiting for their forever, together, in their foster home!! Now they don't have to be adopted together but each definitely needs another dog in the family to keep them happy. McDaddy is a sweet and low energy boy, middle aged and sweet. He enjoys a stroll through the yard, a nap on the couch but mostly he hangs out in his crate and watches the house while chilling in his favorite place. He is good with people, but not the little ones- they make him nervous, he is GREAT with other dogs and leaves the cats alone- smart boy. He is learning his housetraining manners, wears a belly band until he is fully house trained but for a drive through kind of dog, he doesn't mind the cool comforts of a home with his own place and his own foster people to dote on him and give him the relaxed smile you see on his face :) He has the sweetest personality, like he is so thankful to be safe and fed regularly and with people who understand him and love him JUST the way he is!!! He probably wouldn't mind being taken through the McDonald's drive-thru for a burger and fries sometime, but don't leave him there!! If you want a friend for your dog or if you are looking for a package deal, McDaddy is the one for you!! Look up his sister too, she is gorgeous and LOVES her foster home too!! Taffy, like the sweet thick concoction that partially melts in your mouth and attaches to your teeth, I am a sweet and sticky girl :) I love love my people and will attach myself to you and your kids faster than you can say... sugar!!! I also am a loving and happy girl, who came from a not so sweet situation to find my true sweet spot- in your bed and on your oouch! I know i look pretty happy and it does betray some of the sadness I felt when I was in the clink....with my five babies....and no hope... But like the fairytale ending we all dream of, I GOT IT!! A rescuer saw my face and my babies faces and SAVED US! Now, all my pups are adopted and I am just waiting for the right family to love me too! Hi, we are Laverne and Shirley and much like the famed couple living in Milwaukee and looking for a future filled with big families and love and HOMES!! We are a great pair of pups and we were literally found dumped on the side of a railroad tracks at less than 10 weeks old :( When we were found, we each had one eye that was like a "cherry pie", I think that's what the doctor man said..... (the doc said "cherry eye!!") We were so bonded that Shirley's left eye and Laverne's right eye had the "cherry pie" :) I mean, how cute and sad is that???? We are a couple of pittie/lab pups, we are great with all people, dogs, cats and even tortoises!! We are bonded but can be separated if the right families come along. Honestly though, we are like the peanut butter and chocolate debate- TAKE THEM TOGETHER!!!! We are going to be about 50# maybe, full grown... We LOVE to ride in the car, so traveling with you is super easy, cause we are THERE! You don't have to pick us up, we load up!! I think you need to go ahead and fill out the application soon!
