Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Midnight Lagoon found himself unwanted in a  high kill shelter in West Texas. He is good with other dogs and kids, cats are unknown.  All dogs and puppies require supervision and training.  Midnight Lagoon is a big knucklehead. He's sweet as can be but can sound a little rough. He's very vocal when he plays and that might put off some dogs. He looks like a tough guy but he's just one big sweetie pie. He loves to snuggle, give kisses, get belly rubs, and he's very, very smart. His life started out a little rough He's got the scars to show it. He is human selective and dog reactive but can go on to be best friends given slow introductions.  His best friend is his foster sister and he really wants to be friends with his bigger foster brother, but his big brother doesn't really want to have much to do with him. Midnight is a food snob who prefers his dry kibble to be complimented with wet food or gravy.  Midnight is making strides everyday. He's great on walks in low traffic times and areas. He's working on his reactivity and getting desensitized in many different situations. He would do best with another dog (after slow intros) who doesn't mind his vocal play because doesn't like to be alone. He loves stuffy toys and chew toys. He's still learning how to dog everyday and is looking for his human to love.some fun additional information about Middy Midnight just loves trailers. He loves to jump in and inspect the inside and outside of trailers any time he sees one. He is very inquisitive!  Midnight would love a human who is a runner or someone who likes to take long walks or hikes. He enjoys burning off energy as much as a good belly rub. Midnight is nuts for a flirt pole. He likes chasing the fox but enjoys catching it even more. He is getting better and better at 'leave it' so we can continue playing. He is also learning 'enough' for when he gets too excited about the little boy next door running up and down the hall. A firm 'enough' and a treat quiets him right up. Please put in your application on our website mattysheartandsoulanimalrescue.rescuegroups.org.      Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.March 27, 2024, 9:25 am

Story
Im looking to rehome my dog and find someone who can take care of him and give him the love and care he needs & deserves. He is a rescue dog and seemed to have had an abusive previous owner. He was adopted 8-12 months before Covid and quarantine happened at 3 months old. At the time me and my mom tried to socialize him the best we could but it got difficult with things being shut down and not being able to go to the dog park to interact. He lives with me and my cat right now in Saint Paul. He is a really sweet, loving dog but does not get along with other people and other dogs. He has also had a traumatic experiences due to negligent dog owners who have had their dogs off leash and come at him. He has had unfair circumstances and interactions. He has never injured a person or animal. Does bark and can lunge if dogs get to close. He is a love bug who loves attention, exploring, learning new tricks, and cuddling up to those he loves and trusts.

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. //   Find our applications at www.midwestanimalrescue.orgAdoption Fee $375 plus taxHowie is a cuddly darling! He’s a little clown who will make you smile every time you look at him.  He adores children and wants to play! He has a fierce bark, but immediately wants to make friends with anyone who comes in the door.  He still has his puppy energy.  He loves his rubber chew toys. Plays fetch and tug of war.  He is house-trained and trusted to be left uncrated throughout the day. He sits, and is fast learning other commands. He has gotten really good at walking on leash. That being said he does have basset hound in him so by instinct of his breed, he wants to pull once he gets on a track and needs to be reminded to “heel”. He does best with slow intro's to other dogs.  He’s going to be a great family dog, He's house trained and extremely smart with a goofball personality! Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. //   Find our applications at www.midwestanimalrescue.orgAdoption Fee $400 plus taxEloise is definitely a unique looking fuzzy pitty who’s mix is a mystery.  Eloise really has come a long way in foster care. Her confidence is growing and loves meeting new people of ALL ages. She tends to be more submissive or docile at first but doesn’t take long before she’s leaning in for some affection from anyone with a spare hand.  She has a goofy, playful personality and is very good at creating her own fun.  She is super affectionate and loves nothing more than to curl up on your lap like a 54lb cat for some belly rubs. Eloise gets along great with other dogs including the 13yr old resident dog.  It took about 2-3weeks for them to become BFF’s and follow each other around everywhere. She’s curious about the resident cat but really could care less. Her ears perk up and head tilts when the cat starts snarling and hissing at her. After a 30sec stare down Eloise just moves on.   She loves car rides and going to the park where she can run off her pent-up energy. She is okay on short walks but still needs a lot more work with pulling and wanting to jump around and grab the leash away. She gets so excited and just wants to go- go-go. She’d be great at agility or scent work or something fun and challenging. Very smart and quick learner so needs a job to keep her constantly busy and entertained                         If you have previously applied with us please email adoptionatmars@gmail.com to reactivate your application with new interest. All fees are subject to MN sales tax and a processing fee at the time of adoption.
