She's on the lookout for her forever home!Teja is affectionate and friendly - especially when meeting new people - and loves nothing more than pets and belly rubs. She's wonderful with older kids, though younger children can sometimes overwhelm her gentle nature.With other dogs, Teja is respectful and does best with pups smaller than her 70 pounds. When it comes to larger dogs, she can be a bit unsure, so a smaller canine companion would be the best fit.Her idea of a perfect day? A nice walk, some couch time, outdoor 'sniff-aris' to explore the world, and plenty of snuggles with her humans. And if that day also includes the joy of deconstructing a toy, well, that's the cherry on top!What she could live without? Thunderstorms, allergy season, chicken, and sharp noises. I came to the shelter years ago after being found as a stray by Minneapolis Animal Control – and somehow never left. The kind folks here never gave up on me. They’ve shown me patience, safety, and love. Even so, I dream of something more. I still believe there is someone out there who will see past my age and notice all the love I still have to give. Do you have space in your heart and home for an active senior like me? Meet Willow, our wise and wiggly senior sweetheart! At her age (which she’d prefer we didn’t mention), thank you very much, Willow knows what she wants – a peaceful home, a couple daily strolls, and treats delivered promptly, please. Willow is excited to meet new folks, however she is slow to warm. She’s got a “trust, but verify” policy – and verification takes time. But stick around with treats and patience, and you’ll be her knew favorite person before you know it. She asks for a home without kids or cats, because frankly, she’s earned the right to a little peace and quiet. She still has plenty of pep in her step and wants to explore the world with you – as long as the world includes car rides to Dairy Queen!So, if you’re a patient, kind human with a soft spot for senior sass and a heart of gold, Willow just might be your perfect match. This sweet girl is one of many dogs who's fate it was to be abandoned here in the south. People are throwing sweet dogs out day and night in this economy. Ducky is one of the lucky ones that was picked up by a kind stranger and brought to a rescue that was able to find a foster! She is Spayed and UTD on required vaccines. Ducky likes other dogs but is rambunctious. She loves everyone she meets so older children would be fine. She is close to housetrained and will just need to get comfortable with her new routine. Zeus is a playful 8 year old that loves to sit on your lap. He likes to go for a ride and will sit up in the seat beside you to watch everything. His owner passed away so he is kind of lost right now hoping that he finds a new home with caring loving people as soon as possible. Zeus was housebroken but could use a refresher course as his owner was very sick before passing away and was unable to take him outside for his potty breaks at times. A loving person that would put a lot of care into him would have a friend for life.
