He is crate trained and will be very easy to be house broken. He had surgery on both of his eyes due to cherry eyes and rolled eyelids. He is all better now. Enjoys food. Loves to dump his food on the floor out of the bowl and eat it. He does drool but its apart of his charm. Just keep a towel or rag near by. Please if you live in an apartment, make sure you have all authorization to have a dog and the breed in the complex

When someone is getting ready to take me out, I can sometimes get excited but then calm down as they put the harness on me. Going for a long walk is fun. I also love water so bath time is always a special moment with staff. They can pick me up, even carry me like a big baby. I enjoy all this extra attention, you know the massage and shampooing. While not mandatory, a fenced-in yard would be awesome so I can run around. I like to keep fit so an active person would be awesome but most importantly, I want to be loved. Guess what, some may have thought I was not good with other dogs but let me tell you something, I am actually doing pretty well some of the doggies in play groups here. We are just having fun like kids would at recess. I love big toys, those big balls that you can push around or the lighter ones that you can bump up in their air with your nose. I’ve also perfectioned not only the tail wag but the whole body wave because I’m always so happy when I get loving from people. Now, no worries, I could definitely sleep in too. After all, some days, you just have to take it slow. -Hank is part of our Home for the Holidays adoption promotion, so his adoption fee is 50% off!- I was removed from a neglect situation with another dog so yes life wasn’t really fun and there was obviously not much love. Here I can be a little timid at first but as one of the Canine Care staff members described me, once I am out, I am like a big baby, climbing into your lap and soaking up all the loving and attention I am getting. They are also introducing me to toys and they look fun though I’m still not quite sure what to do with them. I’ll chase them and then run back to the dog walker for some more petting. Guess what, some may have thought I was not good with other dogs but let me tell you something, I am actually doing pretty well some of the doggies in play groups here. We are just having fun like kids would at recess. (Of course, this still means that I may not like every single dog) So if you have a dog, why don’t you bring him in so we can meet and see how we may do together.
