Story
Meet Titus! A spirited almost two-year-old Anatolian Shepherd mix currently in Santee, CA, whose essence is a beautiful blend of loyalty, playfulness, and gentle strength, wrapped in a beige and tan coat with striking black ears and a noble black muzzle. Titus is the kind of companion who brings warmth and comfort just by being near. Affectionate and deeply connected to those around him, he’s played an important role in helping a family member through tough times and now he’s ready to find a new loving home where he can thrive both physically and emotionally. At around 84 pounds, Titus is a large pup with an even bigger heart! He's playful, enjoys affection, and thrives on companionship, whether it’s human or canine. This outdoorsy guy is happiest when he’s out exploring. Whether it's a long hike, a walk through the neighborhood, or romping at the dog park, Titus embraces it all with enthusiasm! He’s a big fan of squeaky toys and balls, and he especially enjoys the social scene at doggie daycare. He’s shown no signs of guarding or food aggression and gets along well with other dogs, often delighting in the opportunity to play. Titus would not do well in a home with cats or other small animals, such as birds or chickens. Though he's not lived with children, he’s always friendly when meeting new people and loves gentle pets from curious little hands. Titus is leash trained, house-trained, neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped. He knows basic commands like sit, down, stay, come, mine, and release. When left alone for short periods, he mostly snoozes peacefully. He’s sensitive to raised voices and the occasional scary animal on TV, so a calm, caring environment will help him feel secure. Titus would do best with guardians experienced with large breeds, especially those familiar with livestock guardian types. A fenced yard is a must for his zoomies and sunbathing sessions, and a canine playmate would be the cherry on top of his perfect day! Are you the kind-hearted, active family Titus needs to continue his journey of love, play, and adventure? If so, reach out to adopt@joyfulpets.com to learn more about bringing this affectionate explorer into your life! Content Notice: This pet is represented by Joyful Pets. MEET ARTHUR! This gorgeous boy was found by animal control, abandoned by his previous owners, on the side of the road. He was such a sweetheart with the staff that they contacted us and asked us to save him from euthanasia. He is a great protector and incredibly loyal, a perfect guard dog. However, he is a big love and adores cuddles, so he would be most suitable for a family willing to have him in the house. He comes with free training from a professional trainer upon adoption, along with multiple free lessons. He is a wonderful boy who will be the perfect addition to your family

Story
Meet Sprinkles! This 3 year old spayed female Great Dane is up to date on vaccines and overflowing with love for her people. She’s a social sweetheart who believes she should be your one and only at home—not because she’s bossy, but because she loves being the center of your world. Sprinkles does well with other dogs in social settings, and enjoys getting out and about. She loves long walks, big cuddles, and cozy nights snoozing in her crate, which she happily uses as her safe little retreat. She may be a very big girl, but that just means there’s more Sprinkles to love. We hold an event every weekend at our facility on SATURDAY and SUNDAY 11-5pm and open to the public. Story
Meet Bo Breed: Belgian Malinois / Mastiff Mix Sex: Male DOB: August 3, 2022 Weight: 70 Pounds Health: Healthy and doing well Bo is a handsome, intelligent boy with a big heart and an even bigger personality. This energetic Malinois/Mastiff mix combines the loyalty and devotion of both breeds with a playful spirit that makes every day feel like an adventure. Sadly, Bo has become one of the rescue’s long-timers, patiently watching other dogs leave for their forever homes while he continues to wait for someone to notice him. He deserves the chance to finally leave the shelter behind and start the life he’s been hoping for. Personality Bo is affectionate, loyal, and full of joyful energy. He loves interacting with people and thrives on connection and companionship. His playful personality keeps life fun, whether he’s enjoying a walk, learning something new, or simply spending time close to his humans. Bo forms strong bonds and becomes deeply devoted to the people he trusts. His sweet nature and loving heart make him a wonderful companion who truly wants to be part of a family. Breed Info A Belgian Malinois and Mastiff mix combines intelligence, strength, and loyalty. Malinois are known for their sharp minds, trainability, and desire to work closely with their owners, while Mastiffs bring calm confidence and deep devotion to their families. Dogs with this mix tend to be incredibly loyal and thrive when given both mental stimulation and physical activity. With structure and engagement, they become deeply bonded companions who love being involved in daily life. Owner Responsibilities Bo already has a foundation of basic training, but like many intelligent dogs, he will benefit from continued training and mental enrichment. Regular exercise such as daily walks, play sessions, and activities that challenge his mind will help keep him happy and balanced. Positive reinforcement training will strengthen the bond between Bo and his adopter while helping him continue to grow into a confident, well-mannered companion. &#226&#154&#160&#239&#184&#143 Things to Consider Before adopting Bo, it’s important to think about your long-term lifestyle and stability. Are pets allowed where you live now and in the future? If you move, will Bo move with you? Do you have the time each day to provide exercise, engagement, and companionship? Are you financially prepared for routine veterinary care, food, and unexpected medical needs? Dogs like Bo deserve a home that is committed to them for life. Vet Care Even though Bo is healthy, adopters should establish care with their own veterinarian soon after adoption. This helps ensure preventative care continues properly and provides a trusted medical partner for Bo’s long-term health and well-being. Understanding the 3-3-3 Rule Like most rescue dogs, Bo will need time to adjust to his new home. The first 3 days he may feel unsure as he decompresses from the transition. The first 3 weeks he will begin learning your routine and feeling more secure. By 3 months, his confidence will grow and his full personality will shine. Patience and consistency during this adjustment period will help Bo thrive. Why Bo? Bo has waited patiently for someone to see the amazing dog he truly is. He is loyal, playful, intelligent, and full of love to give. Long-timer dogs like Bo often become the most devoted companions because they know what it means to finally be chosen. The family who gives Bo his forever home will gain a faithful friend who will stand by their side through every adventure.
