Story
Sunny is a gentle soul with a heart full of love, waiting for her second chance at happiness. This 80-pound Shepherd/Great Pyrenees mix is 7 years old and ready to find her forever family. This beautiful soul spent 557 days in the shelter due to a welfare case. She truly deserves a place to call a forever home! Though Sunny may be shy and nervous at first, beneath that quiet exterior is a calm and loving dog who is slowly opening up to the world. She’s made amazing progress, becoming more comfortable on walks and showing comfort around other dogs. Sunny has favorite cozy spots like the couch or a human bed where she enjoys her peaceful retreat. She has even initiated brief play with another dog. She is crate trained, though so laid-back that crating isn’t necessary. Quiet and rarely barking, Sunny would thrive in a patient, loving home where she can enjoy a calm, relaxed life. Could you be the special family Sunny is searching for? After waiting so long, she deserves the love and security only a caring family can provide. Let’s give this beautiful girl the happy ending she’s been waiting for! If you are interested in adopting, please visit the I.C.A.R.E. Dog Rescue website and complete an adoption application: www.icaredogrescue.org/ready-to-adopt Adoption fee includes: spay/neuter • shots up to date • micro-chip • fecal and vet check Breeds and age are not guaranteed. Say hello to Triton COH! This handsome 3 year old neutered male Anatolian Shepard was found as a stray in the City of Hawthorne and is now ready to find a loving home. Triton is a friendly boy who enjoys relaxing in a warm dog bed after spending time with his favorite people. We hold an event every weekend at our facility on SATURDAY and SUNDAY 11-5pm and open to the public. It is first come first serve we do not evaluate applications prior to an event. If there are multiple interested parties in the same dog or puppy at the same time we would pick the best out of the 10 applications. Please visit our social media platforms for the specifics for each weekend as it changes from week to week. Please find our application at lovejoyfoundation.org when you come to an event please bring that filled out in hand with you. You can find our application at Lovejoyfoundation.org. Story
This is a calm and gentle Turkish Kangal (Anatolian Shepherd type). I originally adopted him from a friend’s farm. He is not picky with food and generally follows commands well. He can be a bit timid in new environments and may need time to build confidence. Some commands require repetition, so patient and consistent training works best. He is a double-coated breed and sheds heavily about twice a year, so a home comfortable with seasonal shedding is important. Due to my current schedule, I’m not able to provide the time and companionship he deserves. He would do best in a home with a yard, where he can spend time outdoors, use the yard for bathroom breaks, and alert the household if someone approaches. I am looking for a responsible, experienced home where he can feel safe and happy. A rehoming fee applies to ensure a responsible placement.

Story
This is a courtesy post on behalf of our partners at Maui Humane Society. Edam is available for adoption and can fly ANYWHERE Hawaiian or Alaska Airlines flies. If you are interested in adopting Edam, please contact us and we will put you in touch with the appropriate contacts at Maui Humane! My name is Edam! The Coast Guard found me at the park, I'd say it was a daring rescue at sea but in actuality I was just lounging on the grass. I'm Edam, a 5-year old boy who's seemingly had a rough past. See I was found with a serious leg injury, a collar so tight I have indents in my neck and my jaw is a little crooked but despite all this I'm happy-go-lucky, very loving, optimistic and thrilled to be here. The shelter is like the Four Seasons compared to where I've been! I enjoy going on walks, chewing on bones, playing in the yard, munching on snacks and getting attention from my humans. I was named Edam because it's a popular cheese that everyone likes, just like me! Ok, I'm ready to close the book on the first chapter of my life and start a new one - will you please be in my story? MY FOSTER HOME SAYS THIS ABOUT ME: Edam is a good boy who just want to be loved, he's very affectionate, eager to please and loves to give sweet kisses. His favorite things are stuffed Kongs, cuddling on the bed, eating cheese and hot dogs, and jumping in anyone's open truck tailgate! He is housebroken, he gets along with our dog, he knows sit, crate and wait and he's a mellow guy. To get pets he likes to sit in the back seat of the car with his front paws on the ground and his big head on the center console.

Click Here to Sponsor Me!  Adoption APPLICATION: Muttsinneed.org/adoption-application   ** Application must be completed prior to a meet & greet.                                   Our Adoption Process:Muttsinneed.org/adoption-process  Hi! My name is Honey and I definitely live up to my name. My foster mom says she calls me Honey because I am super sweet. I'm a little shy at first, but as soon as I know I can trust you, I just want your love & to love you. Psst... this can easily be accomplished by brushing me!! (Hint, hint!!)     I am a female, Belgian Malinois mix and around 3 yrs young. I play well with other dogs of all sizes, I'm ok with cats & children. Sometimes I do like chasing squirrels though because they sit there and laugh at me.    I was abandoned by my owner when they moved and left Blue & I behind. I was forced to live outside with Blue in the front yard of my old house. The new residents wouldn't let us come inside and fed us their scraps if they had any. Then, one day, Blue and I were out front playing and some scary person just snatched me up and took me to this stinky, scary place that had a bunch of other dogs there. I didn't like that place. After being there a few weeks I was scheduled to be put down, but thankfully an independent Rescuer, who originally saw me on the street and was trying to help me saw my picture along with my buddy Blue, and found a rescue to come save me. I arrived at my foster mom’s house and I was so happy to see my buddy Blue there too!! He's my best friend, my rock, my solid, my everything. I'm a very well behaved girl! I love to play hide and seek with Blue. I'm submissive and avoid confrontation. I still need some help with basic commands, but in time, I will get there. I am a people pleaser and wouldn't want to disappoint you!   To meet me submit an application at:https://www.muttsinneed.org/adoption-application.html  March 30, 2025, 11:35 pm
