Story
Highway (HWY) is a very good-looking boy. He is very high Anatolian Shepherd. He was fully vetted 9/18/24. 19 weeks old as of 11/1/24. Weighed 18.9 lbs when vetted. He is growing fast. Est 30 -35 lbs now on 11/1!24. HWY was named Highway because he was found on Highway 51. in West TN. A girl that his foster mom knows saw a car pull over on the side of the highway and put him out. She pulled over and saved him. He was really scared when we first got him. He has come a long way but can still be shy at times. He needs someone willing to be patient with him. He catches on pretty quick. He’s playful and knows “ sit” already. He loves other dogs. Walks really well on leash. He actually would do very well with an avid walker/runner. He does likes o ride in the car. He will require additional potty/house training as he is still a pup. HIGHWAY is located in Ripley, TN. (West TN). Contact Lisa at 731-499-0739 or oatsvall973@yahoo.com Out of state transport can be arranged, cost is $185.

Story
This handsome boy was picked up running at large and based on Facebook posts it was about his third or fourth offense, but no one claimed him. We are guessing that he was a failure at being a livestock guardian because he’s way too social. He’s always wanting to visit someone new. Charlie is a little over a year old and weighs 110 lbs. He was very thin when he first came to us but is now at his perfect weight. He is neutered, up-to-date on required vaccines, microchipped and heartworm tested negative. He’s house trained and he loves other dogs, but he is a big guy. He also will require a tall fence and you will have to keep an eye on him because again he likes to visit new people. He’s affectionate and likes to lean on you. He is learning commands like sit and stay and he really tries to please! This is what his foster mom says about him " Charlie is amazing. He is housebroken, loves to be hugged, hasn’t chewed anything up, likes to play but is content just to chill. He walks beautifully on a leash and likes to say hi to everyone he meets. Charlie enjoys sitting and looking out the window, hanging around in the kitchen especially when I’m cooking and going for car rides. Although this breed is known for having a stubborn streak, Charlie seems to understand a few commands wait, it’s ok, no, come, let’s go and he will even sit for a treat. But his favorite is Good Boy Charlie❤️" This guy would be a great dog for an active loving family. He’s so sweet! If you would like to be Charlie’s forever family please email dogs4mylife@ gmail.com or olmc7@ hotmail.com. If you are inquiring from a Gmail address. It is best to use our Gmail address or you might have to look for us in your spam.

Story
Mila was surrendered because she wanted to be with people rather than sheep so she wasn't a very good livestock guard dog. Mila is really just a big ham who loves belly rubs. She is tons of fun and loves people. She is very food motivated so this can be used to help do some training with her. Mila loves people and would prefer to be the only dog in the home. We do not know what she thinks of cats. Due to her size, a home with kids 8+ is preferred (she loves kids but may accidently knock some smaller ones over). This gorgeous girl is about 2-3 years old and 108 pounds of hunka hunka burning love ❤️. Please help Mila find the loving home she deserves. Additional video of Mila: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UuEeJYyb2Q4 **Please note we currently have another dog with a similar name. PLEASE CALL AMBLER DOG RESCUE 267-471-3000 - SCOTTY RESCUE SEE MY DAILY ACTIVITY AT https://www.facebook.com/ambler.dog.rescue Pupper Girl is a 10-month-old Australian Shepherd whose presence feels like a small miracle stitched into everyday life. Her coat shimmers with the hues of early morning light, and in her eyes lives a spark that suggests she understands far more than she lets on—an ancient wisdom wrapped in puppy wonder. Playful as the day is long, she greets each sunrise with the enthusiasm of a creature who believes the world was made just for her to explore. She bounds through grass like a brushstroke of color, swift and joyful, her paws drumming tiny rhythms across the earth. Sticks become enchanted scepters, shadows turn into dance partners, and every gust of wind is an invitation to chase the impossible. But Pupper Girl is more than motion—she is a feeling. In quiet moments, she curls herself gently into the curve of your legs, offering warmth with the reverence of a loyal guardian. Her heartbeat softens the corners of the world, reminding you that peace can be found in something as simple as a pup choosing your side as her favorite place to rest. She is clever, quick to learn, and eager to please, yet her mischief—soft and innocent—adds its own charm to her growing legend. A stolen sock becomes a tale to tell; a tilted head becomes a question mark painted in fur. Pupper Girl is wonder stitched into muscle and motion, devotion hidden beneath a tumble of playful energy. She is the laughter that shakes loose after long days, the comfort waiting at the doorway, the spark that makes an ordinary morning feel like a celebration. To love her is to understand that some souls—no matter how young—carry the wide, wild sky inside them. And Pupper Girl, beautiful and bright, is one of those rare souls indeed. NO EMAIL. Story
ALL our cats and dogs are in the NY area but can be adopted out of state to the purrfect furever home.  In some cases, we can help transport.  Zani's al fresco Summer Adoptions  follow us on FB to find us this summer as we will try new locations to meet the needs of NYC and support the little stores:)     We are excited to introduce our newest addition, 1-year-old 55-pound Helios, a tripod dog from Albania, who will be arriving in November. This lovable good boy is potty trained and excels at going outside. Despite his physical limitation, Helios possesses boundless energy. His past has been marked by adversity, having been found with a severely damaged back leg, likely sustained in a car accident. However, thanks to timely surgery and abundant love, Helios has overcome his challenges and is now thriving, strong, happy, and full of life. Helios's indomitable spirit shines through as he runs, plays, and revels in life. He's playful, gentle, and resilient, with a heart full of love. Whether chasing a ball or snuggling, Helios makes a wonderful companion. He interacts well with other dogs, loves humans of all ages, and is calm, cuddly, and well-behaved. Helios is searching for a family who will look beyond his physical limitations and appreciate his extraordinary spirit. He epitomizes the idea that strength, spirit, and kindness can manifest in diverse ways. Facebook: Zani's Furry Friends ZFF (weekly adoption event info posted there)Twitter: zanisff Instagram: zanisfurryfriends   Dogs are spayed/neutered, UTD on age appropriate vaccines, Rabies vaxed, and microchipped (not Lyme vaxed but we seriously recommend it!)  All are in the NY/NJ area but we will adopt out of state to the purrfect home and in some cases, we can arrange transport.  Please go to our site  https://zanisfurryfriends.org  fill out an application  Many of us (cats/dogs) will be on display on Saturdays or Sundays, weather dependent--please ask by writing us at dogs@zanisfurryfriends.org and following us on FB. If you are seriously interested in adopting one of us in particular, please fill out an application early Friday so that we can be sure to be there. Otherwise we decide based on other variables. Usually we are in our foster homes so this is a bit more stressful and a slightly artificial environment but we do want to be seen and find our furever homes too.   Please consider providing a home for more than one dog, especially if you are considering adopting a puppy. Dogs are pack animals and very much enjoy as well as need other dog company to learn to play, socialize and be good companion animals to people. The upside to this is that you won't feel as guilty leaving them alone and you get twice the love. Please come! And if you can't adopt, maybe you can foster or volunteer, and you can always donate!                If you want to know about cats/dogs specifically being shown at our adoption locations, please email us info@zanisfurryfriends.org closer to the date so we know your interest and will make every effort to have that pet at the event or let you know how and where you can meet.  It is extemely helpful and speeds up adoption if the application is filled out prior to visiting us so please do that before coming to our weekend events. Our weekend locations are: Saturdays or Sundays, weather dependent  Follow us on FB, Zani's Furry Friends ZFF, for latest updates. Usually we are in our foster homes so all this is a bit more stressful but we do want to be seen and find our furever homes. Please come! And if you can't adopt, maybe you can foster or volunteer. And you can always donate:) Cats and Dogs are spayed/neutered, UTD w/ all age appropriate shots and microchipped. Cats are feline combo tested for FIV/FeLV; dogs are heartworm tested and rabies vax'd, (NOT lyme vaxed but we seriously recommend it); rabbits are spayed/neutered. Please fill out an application and email to: For Cats: cats@zanisfurryfriends.org For Dogs: dogs@zanisfurryfriends.org For Rabbits: nyc.acc.rabbits@gmail.com. Please visit our website zanisfurryfriends.org.
