We do our best to describe each dog accurately; however, behavior and needs may change in a new home, routine, or environment. Our dogs are not free-roaming in homes. “Potty trained” indicates reliable crate training, not confirmed free-roam house training. Story
Introducing Peaches   Miss Peaches is as sweet as they come. She came to us after being placed on the euthanasia list at a Houston shelter, and we are so grateful she got her second chance at life   Peaches is an Anatolian Shepherd mix, around 3 years old (maybe a little younger!), and the proud mama of Biscuit—who is also in our care. Peaches is a bit more confident than Biscuit and is VERY food motivated (treats = instant best friend ).   She’s incredibly loving, adores being pet, and just wants to feel safe and cared for. Peaches will thrive in a home with another dog to help guide her and no cats, as she does have a strong prey drive. This sweet girl just needs someone patient and kind to show her that life is good—and that she’s finally safe April 15, 2026, 8:15 pm

Story
Meet Biscuit   This handsome boy is about a year old and an Anatolian Shepherd mix—Biscuit is the son of Peaches and is slowly but surely learning that the world isn’t such a scary place. Every day he’s gaining a little more confidence, and it’s truly the sweetest thing to watch.   Biscuit may be a little shy at first, but once he feels safe, his gentle and loving personality shines through. He also LOVES food and is extremely food motivated, which makes building trust with him even sweeter   He’ll do best in a home with another confident dog to help guide him, and no cats, as he does have a strong prey drive.   Biscuit will need someone patient who is okay giving him time to decompress and is willing to work with him as he continues to make progress in his everyday life.   This special boy is still looking for a foster or his forever home—somewhere he can feel safe, loved, and continue to blossom April 15, 2026, 8:15 pm

Story
Bricia is a one of a kind girl with a look and personality that’s impossible to forget! With her little underbite that lets her teeth peek out from time to time and her funny looking tail, she has a quirky charm that makes people smile the moment they meet her. She’s very easy to leash up and walks nicely by your side without pulling, making her a pleasant companion for strolls. Bricia already knows how to sit and will happily show off her good manners - sometimes for a treat, though she’s a bit picky and doesn’t always take them. When she does, she’s very gentle! In the play yard, Bricia is independent but friendly. She enjoys exploring on her own, but she’s always happy to come over for some pets. Squeaky toys definitely get her attention - she’ll perk up at the sound and may even chase after one if you toss it. That usually turns into a burst of zoomies instead of actual toy play, but it’s still entertaining to watch! Bricia has a low to medium energy level and a calm, easygoing vibe. Bricia is a truly special pup who’s ready to bring some charm and companionship into a lucky adopter’s home.

Story
Balderdash is the kind of dog you don’t fully appreciate until you spend a little time by his side. Once you do, it’s hard not to fall for him! He’s an incredibly easygoing, gentle soul who makes everything feel calm and simple. He’s a dream to handle on leash - no pulling, no fuss, just quietly following your lead and enjoying the moment with you. He has a low energy level and a laid back vibe. He seems to prefer observing the world rather than being the center of it. Balderdash isn’t interested in toys and treats don’t impress him much either. What he does love is affection! He doesn’t require a ton of attention, but when you pet him he loves nothing more than to lay down and soak it up for as long as possible. His sweetness always shines through. He’s friendly, independent in a peaceful way, and has a naturally calm presence that makes him an easy companion to have around. While he doesn’t know any tricks just yet, he takes treats gently and seems eager to connect in his own quiet way. He`s also done well around other dogs in shelter playgroups. Balderdash may not be the dog who jumps up to grab attention or steals the spotlight on camera (for some reason he always seems comes across as awkward on camera!) - but he’s the one who would love to be there beside you at the end of the day: steady, kind, and content. If you’re looking for a calm, chill, and genuinely good-hearted dog, Balderdash is waiting to be your perfect match!
