Goose is a smart, loyal, and independent dog looking for the right home where he can truly thrive. He’s grown up around a variety of animals and does well with most—he’s comfortable around livestock like chickens, ducks, goats, and pigs, and he’s even friendly with cats (he’ll play with the ones that like dogs!). Goose also does well with female dogs, but he can be more selective with male dogs and has had some conflict in those situations, so a home without male dogs—or with slow, experienced introductions—would be best. Goose is a dog who values his space and bonds deeply with his people. He does best with confident, consistent handling and would thrive with someone who understands dog behavior and can give him clear structure and boundaries. He has shown some reactivity in certain situations and can be hesitant with unfamiliar men, but with the right environment and leadership, he settles in and shows his loyal, affectionate side.
