He loves belly rubs and nylabones. He hates the cold but will go out with his jacket on. He had a rough start in life and had a number of parasites when we adopted him. He is healthy now but will always test positive for heart worm because he has the antibodies. He would do alright with older kids but very young children (under 5) make him nervous and defensive.

Ferdinand has been with his brother his entire life and shares a deep, reassuring bond with him. He can become anxious when they're apart, and he truly thrives when they're together as a bonded pair. This is a very difficult decision for our family. Our son was recently diagnosed with moderate to severe asthma, and despite every effort, we've been advised that rehoming our dogs is necessary for his health and safety. Our only goal is to find a loving, stable home where they can stay together and continue to be cherished.
