Dr. Alan Grant came to SAAP with the rest of his litter as a small puppy after they were all abandoned in a box on the side of the road. The rest of his litter were quickly adopted but Alan started vomiting regularly and was put on med hold. After lots of vet visits and tests (all normal) and an exploratory stomach surgery we still don’t have an official diagnosis but we have learned to manage his tummy issues. Alan requires specific dog food and one medication that he gets with each meal. Together these total about $110/month. Other than the occasional upset tummy Alan has always acted like a normal dog! He loves to play with all dogs, chew on toys and keep close tabs on his person. Alan is crate and potty trained.
