Story
Nebula, a truly beautiful dog. While her past holds some hardship – she was found living on the streets with her seven puppies – her spirit shines through. Nebula is a sweet and beautiful girl, possessing a gentle nature that will blossom with the right amount of patience and understanding. Nebula's intelligence is evident in her quick grasp of commands. She's already house-trained and crate-trained, demonstrating a willingness to learn and adapt. She enjoys walks immensely, exhibiting a calm and easy-going temperament. What Nebula truly desires is a loving home where she can finally feel safe and secure. While her street life has made her initially cautious around new people, once she builds trust, her playful puppy-like energy resurfaces. It's a beautiful transformation to witness. We believe Nebula would thrive in a quiet and patient home, ideally with someone experienced in working with dogs who have experienced trauma. With the right care, she'll become the most loyal and loving companion imaginable. If you're interested in learning more about Nebula and potentially offering her a loving forever home, please don't hesitate to contact us. $200 In State Adoption Fee (in Texas) $400 Out of State Fee (includes Transportation to your area) $50 Temporary fuel surcharge.

Story
Meet Marcus, a smart, playful, and active Border Collie-Retriever mix with a heart full of love and potential! This handsome boy is full of energy and would thrive in a home that can keep up with his enthusiasm for daily play and mental stimulation. He’s incredibly intelligent and enjoys learning new tricks and commands, making him a great companion for anyone looking to bond over training and activities. While Marcus has had a challenging start to life, having been found on the streets, he’s come a long way and is now looking for a special family that understands his unique needs. Due to his past experiences, Marcus is best as the only dog in the home and would benefit from an adopter who can provide him with a secure environment where he can continue to thrive. He does have some food resource guarding tendencies, which is why being the only dog in a home is essential. He can also be very creative when it comes to looking for food so make sure your counters are free of food as he has been known to eat entire loaves of bread. Marcus is a loving and loyal companion in the home, and with the right care and patience, he will blossom into an even more wonderful pet. He would do best in a calm, quiet environment without the stress of other dogs or public spaces like dog parks, but he’ll give you endless affection and joy in return. If you’re looking for an intelligent, active, and loving dog who’s ready to build a life full of adventures with you, Marcus might just be the perfect fit. He’s waiting for his forever home where he can truly feel safe and loved! Local adoption fee is $200 (in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $450 (includes transport to your area)

Story
Chip is an adorable pup that is ready to fit in with any family. He is good with kids, dogs, and cats. And he is VERY well behaved, crate trained and potty trained. So stinkin’ lovable. Because he is young and happy, your home will feel like his home in no time. Chip lost his front left leg after a freakish accident before he came to Crazy Cats. But that does not slow him down. He is very active and would love another dog or kids in the family for playtime. Chip doesn’t like to be alone for long periods, so having active people around and fun in his day is best. Chip is about 9 months old, fully vet checked, neutered, heart worm negative, UTD on vaccinations, treated for parasites, create trained, potty trained, microchipped (with lifetime free registration), and fostered/ socialized in a loving family home. The works! Please call Wendi at (859) 394-4910 or Brittney at (513) 265-7293 if interested in arranging a meet & greet. Chip’s adoption fee is $295. Story
Meet Ren! Ren is a very handsome, 3 year old Australian Shepherd. While not much is known about Ren's previous life, we do know that he was taught several "tricks" including sit, stay, roll over and spin. He loves to do his tricks - especially when treats are involved! Ren weighs about 50 pounds right now, so he is on a doggy diet, but that doesn't stop him from performing for treats! Ren is crate trained and potty trained. While he was anxious in his crate his first night in a new space, he quickly fell into a routine and is doing great now! He LOVES to be in his foster family's fenced in backyard. He loves to explore the yard, smell all the smells and sun bathe the day away. Ren has been exposed to cats, dogs and younger kids in his foster home. While he has done well with everyone in his home, Ren's ideal home would have older children so that his Aussie tendency to herd doesn't come out to play! Ren is an adorable, smart boy that would love a family that will be active with him physically and mentally! If Ren sounds like a good fit for your family - apply today! His adoption fee is $275. To adopt this animal, please visit https://www.louieslegacy.org/adopt All of our animals come spayed or neutered, up to date on age appropriate vaccinations, are microchipped, heartworm negative, current on flea/tick and heartworm prevention, dewormed, and treated for any ailments found upon veterinary examination. The adoption fee covers a portion of these services, and makes it possible for us to continue rescuing animals. For more information on the adoption fees and the adoption process, please complete our adoption application here: https://www.louieslegacy.org/adopt - an application allows us to get to know your family better so we can assess whether the animal you are interested in is a good match for your home. An application does not obligate you to adopt. Please understand that due to the volume of applications some animals receive, we are unable to contact all applicants. If your application is considered a good fit for the animal you are interested in, or even a different pet, a volunteer will give you a call as soon as possible. We are a foster based rescue and do not have a shelter location where animals can be seen during the week. Please see our Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/LouiesLegacy for our weekly adoption album if you are interested in meeting an animal in person. Not all animals attend every adoption event, please check our Facebook page for animal event times and locations before you make a trip to meet a specific animal.

That’s me, Calypso Jane! My favorite things are to chase after my foster brother, be anywhere near my foster mom, and chew on my favorite toys. My breed is notorious for intelligence and high energy, so my fur-ever family should be active to and willing to keep me engaged through exercise and training. I’ve come a long way in my puppy training! I’m fully housetrained, crate trained for night and when my foster mom is away from home, and I’m very good at sitting, waiting for my food and to be let out of my crate, and even getting good at giving high-fives! I’m still working on jumping and my puppy nipping. I love my foster brother and any other dogs I meet, but I can sometimes be too much for them, so any dog in my fur-ever home should be able to tolerate my puppy antics. I do best with younger, larger dogs as I've not been around too many small or older friends. I haven’t been around cats a ton in my little life, but I like to think of them as a big toy, so it would be best if they have a place to get away from me when I get a little riled up. I love all people I meet and kids are no exception! But since I'm still working on my jumping, any tiny human in my home should be a little older so no one accidentally gets hurt. I've already been spayed, vaccinated, dewormed and micro-chipped. Adoption Process: Step 1:    Complete a "no obligation" application located on our website at pawprintsnky.com under the applications tab. Step 2:    PawPrints will review the application, verifying Vet and personal references as well as landlord requirements/restrictions (if applicable) Step 3:    IF your application is approved, we will call you to schedule a meet and greet for you to meet the pet. &#226&#128&#139Step 4:   If the meet and greet goes well, we will schedule the home visit. Story
Meet Jack! Jack is a fun-loving, friendly, playful little guy. He is about 10 months old, and has a ton of puppy energy. Jack is a great companion, and will thrive in an active, social setting. We go to the Voice of America dog park every day, where Jack gets to meet up and play with his friends. He has never displayed aggressive or anti-social behavior (humping, nipping), which goes for humans and canine friends. He has come a long way, and needs a whole lot of love and attention to make sure he continues to develop into a happy, healthy little dog. Jack is very smart, he knows a small handful of tricks. We are still working on recall, as he comes consistently at the dog park, but gets distracted in wooded environments when we go hiking. The reason I am rehoming Jack is because I do not have time to properly care for him. I am away from him for 10 hours on weekdays. He has a ton of energy, and will do best in a home with a yard, where he can run to his heart's content.

Story
Meet Kage, the ultimate good boy who's just so darn cute! This gentleman is a pro at house living, fully potty trained, and a master at walking on a leash and harness. He's a social butterfly, getting along famously with other dogs and loving those backyard playdates with his pals. Kage is a stunning mix of Lab and Border Collie, the perfect blend of intelligence and family-friendliness. He's just the right size, like a mini Lab or a slightly larger Border Collie. When you find two fantastic things that go together like peanut butter and jelly, you celebrate! Kage is that winning combo, and now you can celebrate by making him a cherished member of your family. His temperament is pure gold - sweet as honey with everyone he meets. Now, here's the scoop: Kage is a special needs pup, and he's looking for someone who can be with him about 90 percent of the time. Storms, rain, and loud noises send him into severe panic attacks, and he's been known to chew through walls when anxiety strikes. Crates aren't his jam because of past storm-related trauma. He's also dealing with seizures, so he's on medication for that. Kage would thrive in a local adoption, and he's best as a single dog with no cats or small animals around. He's a wonderful companion for older kids, and he loves nothing more than cuddles and long walks. He's got the whole house training thing down too. His foster mom adores him and has prepared him for his forever family as best she can. Now, the ball is in your court. Remember, when you adopt Kage, you're not just bringing home a good boy; you're giving him the loving, understanding home he deserves. Don't shop, adopt, because Kage's life depends on it! Local adoption fee is $200 (in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $400 (includes transport to your area - $50 Temporary Fuel Charge will be added)

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Meet Eloise, an endearing female Border Collie mix with a heart full of love. Born around September 2, 2023, this sweet girl currently weighs 17.2 pounds and is ready to find her forever home. Eloise's journey began in a challenging way when she was found abandoned in a field at just 6 weeks old by a compassionate feral cat feeder. Luckily, she was brought to a rescue where she quickly captured the hearts of everyone she met. Her gentle nature and affectionate personality made her a favorite among volunteers and staff alike. Previously, Eloise was adopted into a loving home, but unfortunately, her presence didn't quite mesh well with their older cat. With a heavy heart, her family made the difficult decision to return her to the rescue, knowing that she deserved a harmonious environment where she could thrive. Eloise is described as very sweet, albeit a bit shy initially. Once she feels comfortable, her warmth and charm shine through, making her a delightful companion. She's already mastered potty training and now effortlessly uses a doggy door. Could your home be the perfect match for Eloise's gentle spirit? If you're ready to open your heart and home to this loving pup, you can apply for Eloise at www.adoggie4you.org. Her adoption fee is $300, which includes all her vaccinations, spaying, and a microchip. Don't miss out on the opportunity to make Eloise a cherished member of your family—she's eagerly waiting to meet you This dog is currently in Texas; however, it can be transported to Washington, Portland (Oregon), Minneapolis, Milwaukee, Chicago, Des Moines, Omaha, Cincinnati, Lexington KY or all along the East Coast. If transported, there is an additional transport fee of $225. We do not transport to Rhode Island or Massachusetts due to their regulations.
