Story
Meet Flea! I'm little and tiny (weighing in at only 26 lb) and I like a hot baseline. He can't stop until he wins big with finding his forever home! In time he wants to be your best friend. He never wants to feel like he did that day where he got dropped off at his foster's work. Flea loves walks and is great on a leash. He can't wait to give you some of his good time and keep you till the end of time. Adoption fee is $200. He is up-to-date on age-appropriate vaccinations, neutered, and microchipped. Flea is part of our Senior Soulmates Program. If he is adopted by a senior citizen a generous donor will sponsor his adoption fee and he will come with six months of heartworm prevention.   All of our dogs are spayed or neutered, up to date on age appropriate vaccinations, microchipped and if over 6 months of age, heartworm tested and on heartworm preventative in their foster home. We require an approved application to meet any of our dogs. We do not have a shelter location and will not arrange a meeting without an approved application. We strive to make sure the bios provided for our dogs are complete and accurate; we do understand that mistakes happen, however, so if you absolutely cannot find the answer to your question in the dog's bio, you can contact us for more information. We require a home visit for each dog we adopt out, so we adopt within a 2 hour radius of Dayton, OH. If you are outside of this radius, we encourage you to contact your local rescue or shelter.   September 25, 2023, 10:39 pm

Story
Duchess is a very sweet and playful 3.5 year old Cattle Dog mix that weighs ~39 lbs. She enjoys playing in the yard with her foster's dogs and playing with squeaky toys. She may be considered a "high energy breed mix, but she actually does not need that much play time to chill out in a home. Her favorite game is doing the play pose back and forth with one of her foster's dogs. She is very respectful of her toys, prefer to squeak them with her nose or carry them around instead of destroying them. She also likes to follow her foster mom around when she does household chores as she's a bit of Velcro dog. She appreciates when her foster sneaks in pets between folding laundry, but she's not one to demand head scratches when she knows you're busy. Duchess loves her people and is eager to please. She has been easy to train in basic commands like "focus and "sit because she is so motivated by affection and little treats. She is crate trained and loves having a Bento ball in her crate or a frozen kong. She is a big fan of a more challenging dog toy that involves a food reward. She can also stay in a room and very respectful of the place. Unlike her foster's own dogs, she is not one to grab things she is not supposed to have, like shoes and purses. Duchess is working on not barking or reacting to other dogs while she is in her crate, and she is making strides! Having a toy in her crate has helped immensely as well as having her foster cat siblings teach her to not be reactive by not reacting to her. She has been very sweet to her foster's cats. She really wants to play with them, but she understands they don't want to play with her. She likes to sniff them to say hi when she sees them, but she otherwise leaves them alone. Duchess doesn't always present at her best at events because she is more reactive when crated (but she is working so hard on this!). However, she is the sweetest, most loving girl. Her foster family just adores her and thinks a family that is looking for a playful, affectionate, and often goofy girl will adore her too! If you or your family is looking for a playful, active, very sweet girl, Duchess may be the dog for you! Apply today! Duchess is fostered in the Cincinnati area and her adoption fee is $275. To adopt this animal, please visit https://www.louieslegacy.org/adopt All of our animals come spayed or neutered, fully up to date on vaccinations, including rabies (if age appropriate) and Bordetella, are microchipped, heartworm negative, current on flea/tick and heartworm prevention, dewormed, and treated for any ailments found upon veterinary examination. The adoption fee covers a portion of these services, and makes it possible for us to continue rescuing animals. For more information on the adoption fees and the adoption process, please complete our adoption application here: https://www.louieslegacy.org/adopt - an application allows us to get to know your family better so we can assess whether the animal you are interested in is a good match for your home. An application does not obligate you to adopt. Please understand that due to the volume of applications some animals receive, we are unable to contact all applicants. If your application is considered a good fit for the animal you are interested in, or even a different pet, a volunteer will give you a call as soon as possible. We are a foster based rescue and do not have a shelter location where animals can be seen during the week. Please see our Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/LouiesLegacy for our weekly adoption album if you are interested in meeting an animal in person. Not all animals attend every adoption event, please check our Facebook page for animal event times and locations before you make a trip to meet a specific animal.

Story
Mack is a 5-month-old, 26-lb Heeler mix who loves to run and play. He like his "fuzzy toys" and can really get his grove on when given space to explore and be free! He is super sweet and just the happiest of pups! His unique red heeler coloring also set him apart- rarely does one see a red heeler. Mack came from a puppy mill situation so, although he loves to run and play, he can be a little skittish when you try and reel him in! He will need to learn the "come'" command as well as other basic commands, but he is a quick learner and will respond well to treat training. He is being fostered here in the Cincinnati area, but he has not been kept in a crate; rather in a large pen with indoor/out door access. He only potties in the outside area, but will likely still need some potty training when he becomes an indoor pet. He has learned to do stairs and has already learned to love soft couches. Mack will make a great companion to someone who is active and willing to spend time with him and make sure he gets enough exercise. Heelers are typically very active dogs and require a lot of exercise. Mack is no exception and will be happiest if he can stay active; whether it be running with a child/adult or going to the dog park or being walked on a leash, he will need be exercised routinely to stay mentally and physically at his best. Mack is fostered in the Cincinnati area and his adoption fee is $400.00. Please note that we are a TX based rescue that transports our dogs once they are adopted. All our dogs reside in foster homes in TX. Please fill out an adoption application found at haydudeequine.org Hiya! The names Bandit. I’ve got a niche for stealing hearts, especially yours! With my southern goofy charm, I’m sure to lasso you right on up! I love all other furry pals to romp around with, I’d enjoy the outdoors and splashing around in the water. I’ve got good manners, ones you’d impress your parents with when you take me home. I’m a smart fella, I’m housebroken, I know my basic commands and I walk real nice on a leash. I’ve got a playful energy but I mellow out quite nicely. Could you imagine all the adventures we could go on together? I can just see it now, Bandit & his buds take on life as we know it!! Bandit is about 1 year old and is around 45lbs. We believe he is Blue Heeler Mix (our best guess). He is neutered, update to date on vaccines, and microchipped. He is currently on heartworm and flea preventative.

Story
Please note that we are a TX based rescue that transports our dogs once they are adopted. This pup is in a foster home in TX. Please fill out an adoption application found at haydudeequine.org Miss Moo (Molly) - You are the bridge between what was and what will be, my pathway to a new life! I was pulled from a local rural shelter where I was on 'the list' for space reasons. Someone was watching over me as I was one of the lucky ones to be pulled by a rescue to be given a second chance. I am a 7 year young delightful gal that is calm, mellow and enjoys the more serene lifestyle. I still love going for my walks but I also love chillin' on the couch getting my cherished cuddle time. There is some very beneficial aspects on adopting an older pup like me. We are what you see is what you get. No guessing on how big we'll be when grown. We are out of the puppy destructive stage. You're shoes are safe with me. We are already house trained and a lot of time, crate trained as well. We are very grateful for what we have. I love going for walks and car rides so I'd be the perfect companion for strolling around the neighborhood or being your co-pilot on errand runs! My short coat makes me low maintenance in the grooming department. I'm more of a wash-n-go type of gal which means just one thing, we both have lots of time for the 'spoil me' department!! Yep, yep, that's what I'm talking about! I'd also just like to add this about me - Hi, this is Miss Moo (Molly). I am a very happy girl and feel lucky to be alive!! My foster family says I have the best manners. Show me my leash and I run right to you and sit down for you to put it on so we can go! I trot right by your side and hardly ever stop to smell the roses. When we are on the couch, I like to snuggle right by your side. Oh, I love to eat, especially treats!! I am on medication to help me control my bladder, but it works really well, so no need for concern. I hope you will choose me to be your forever companion, I will love you more than you can imagine! If you'd like a great lil gal that is affectionate, calm and wanting to be your cuddle buddy, I just may be the one you're looking for! Hurry and fill out my adoption application, I'm so excited to become a family member...YOUR family member!!
