Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Let me introduce you to Annie ❤️   Annie is a beautiful Red Heeler with a heart to match. While she’s been raising her puppies, she’s also been showing everyone exactly who she is—and it’s something special.   Her foster mom says if she didn’t already have five dogs of her own, Annie would be staying. That alone tells you everything you need to know.   Annie has all the best traits of a cattle dog—she’s smart, attentive, loyal, and deeply connected to her people. She’s the kind of dog who wants to be part of your world, whether that’s helping you with daily life or simply being by your side.   And underneath that classic Heeler intelligence is a very sweet, gentle soul. She’s loving, steady, and has done an incredible job raising her puppies.   Annie is ready for a home of her own now—a place where she’s not just the mama, but someone’s heart dog.   If you know and love the spirit of a good cattle dog, Annie may be exactly who you’ve been waiting for.   Apply to adopt Annie and give this wonderful girl the life she deserves. Thank you for checking out our wonderful orphans. We try to post videos for each pet so you can really get to know them. If you would like to find out more please email or call Diane at... diane@ulpr.org or 870-577-3744.   Please email us at diane@ulpr.org and request an application. Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.June 1, 2026, 3:01 pm

🐾 Meet Your New Best Friend: The Smart, Sweet, and Loyal Companion You’ve Been Waiting For! If you are looking for a loyal, intelligent, and incredibly well-behaved pup to join your adventures, look no further! This handsome, medium-sized boy is the ultimate house guest and is ready to find his forever team. 🌟 Why You’ll Fall in Love: The Ultimate Roommate: He is completely housebroken and has impeccable house manners. He doesn't jump on the furniture and has already learned that treats are enjoyed inside his crate. Social Butterfly (with Dogs): He gets along famously with other pups! He is currently coexisting beautifully with his foster sibling with absolutely zero drama. Whip-Smart & Eager to Please: He already knows his basic commands and is a fast learner. On a recent hike in the woods, he did amazing on a long-drop lead—his recall is surprisingly fantastic! The Perfect Adventure Partner: He loves being active, exploring nature, and sticking right by your side. 🏡 His Perfect Match: He is a bit of a "velcro dog" right now, which makes his recall great but also means he loves his humans deeply. Because of this, he does experience some separation anxiety. His foster family is actively working on crate training and solo time, but he will thrive best in an active household where people are home more often than not. Leash Manners: He’s not terrible on a leash, but he’s still practicing his loose-leash walking. A little continued guidance will have him walking like a pro in no time. Kids & Cats: Unknown. He ignores them when he sees them out and about, but he hasn't shared a living space with them yet. This sweet boy has so much love to give and is going to make an incredible addition to a family ready to give him the time, reassurance, and activity he craves. Ready to meet your new shadow? Contact us today to learn more or to set up a meet-and-greet! If you are interested in finding out more about Beno, please fill out an adoption application by copying and pasting the following link into your browser: https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/BRO/Dog Beno is being fostered in Millbury, MA. The adoption fee is $500. Like Broken Tail Rescue on Facebook!. Follow Broken Tail Rescue on Instagram! Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable, so for most of the dogs, we are only guessing at the predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each dog as an individual and will do our best to describe each of our dogs based on personality, not by breed label. We expect that all adopted dogs will enroll in a formal dog training class with their new owners. Obedience and training classes are an excellent way to learn more about your newly adopted dog, gain handling and training experience, and improve your relationship with your pet.

Story
Rusty is an adorable 10-month-old pup with lots of energy and personality! He’s in his teenage phase and loves to play, explore, and be part of whatever you’re doing.Rusty will need continued training to help him grow into a well-mannered adult dog. He’s looking for a patient, committed family who can provide structure, consistency, and positive reinforcement as he continues to learn.Rusty does not do well with cats and will need a cat-free home. He would also do best in a home without young children. With guidance, exercise, and love, Rusty has so much potential to become a loyal and fun companion. If you’re ready to help a young pup learn and grow, Rusty is ready to meet you! ??

Story
Meet Iris, the social butterfly who's finally ready for a forever home of her own! After doing an amazing job raising her puppies and watching each of them head off to their happily-ever-afters, it's officially Iris's turn to be spoiled. This sweet cattle dog mix has never met a stranger and firmly believes that every person she encounters is a potential new best friend. She was an absolute star at local Pride events, happily soaking up attention from crowds, making friends left and right, and proving that she's as confident and outgoing as they come. Iris is dog-friendly, though she can sometimes get overwhelmed when she's on leash and sees other dogs, which may result in some enthusiastic barking. She's not looking for a couch-potato lifestyle—in true cattle dog fashion, she thrives when both her body and brain are kept busy. A quick stroll around the block won't be enough for this active girl. Her dream home would include hiking adventures, trail runs, long walks, outdoor exploration, or a human training for their next race who wouldn't mind a four-legged workout buddy. Despite her athletic side, Iris is also incredibly affectionate and well-rounded. She's the kind of dog who wants to be part of whatever you're doing, whether that's tackling a mountain trail or relaxing after a day of adventure. If you're looking for a friendly, happy-go-lucky companion who will greet every day—and every person—with enthusiasm, Iris is ready to lace up her hiking boots and join your team.
