Story
Meet Jade, a charming older gal looking for that special someone to be the center of her world. Jade is a busy lady who would thrive in a quiet environment with a consistent routine and a family who is ready to make adjustments as she continues to settle in. She lived with children in her previous home, but was worried or overwhelmed when there was too much commotion, so she would do best in a lower-traffic home--if there are kids in the home, they should be able to follow her management plan.Jade can be a tad worried when meeting new people, but once she warms up, she is falling into your lap wanting endless pets. She says no thank you to living with dogs right now, please! Jade was reportedly scared of the cat in the previous home, so would prefer any cats in the home to be mellow and tolerant, and would need full separation onto start.Miss Jade has a history of bladder stones, so is currently on a prescription diet. Adopters should plan to establish regular care with a vet to ensure that she`s feeling her best.

Story
Hendrix turned 3 on January 14th, he loves toys, has a few tricks, does great with older children, on a routine schedule. I am currently rehoming Hendrix because my ex originally got him as a puppy but I get left with him. Although Hendrix got me through the hardest time of my life, I believe he can serve a purpose for someone else. Hendrix is very sweet and loving. If you have interests in Hendrix, please leave a phone number to be contacted on.

Story
Gemma is a great, loving dog, our schedule has changed drastically in the past year and it is not fair to her. Her crate can also go with her. She’s a year and a half old and loves to run in the backyard. She is definitely a runner so an open door to an unfenced yard will have you chasing her. She needs some more training to stay out of the trash but she loves to cuddle and loves kids. She is a nervous Nelly at the vets office and needs oral sedation to get through but she’s a love bug besides. She doesn’t hurt my cats but does think they want to play and doesn’t leave them alone so a home with no cats may be best! We also have bags of dog food.

Story
This beautiful boy is Colt! This pup has lived well with cats, chickens, other dogs, and children. Because he likes to herd, we think he`d do best with middle school aged children and up. Colt`s favorite things in life are sniffy walks and playing ball. He`s also a smart boy and knows `sit`, `shake`, and `stay`. Don`t let Colt`s age fool you-- he`s still looking for adventures and lots of activity even in his older years.Colt is up to date on all his age appropriate vaccines, microchipped and neutered. All adoptions start with a visit to out shelter!

Story
Barnaby is a young 7 month old pup that catches your eye and also your heart when you first meet him.  He is a wonderful young boy that weighs 34 pounds and should become a handsome adult dog that will weigh in the range of 50 pounds as an adult.  His life started with great hope but eventually the people who adopted this cute pup became cold hearted and treated him with physical hits and loud voices when he was not the perfect puppy.  A neighbor intervened and begged Critter Cavalry Rescue to take this young and innocent pup in to our program.  Barnaby escaped years of emotional and physical abuse.  He is such a bright and happy spirit that just needs some time to get his mind wrapped around the love that is being offered to him now.  No loud voices and the forgiveness when he is NOT perfect.  He is so nice and submissive and humble in spirit.  He just wants to be accepted and have fun with other dogs and maybe become good friends with a cat if needed.   His breed is more of a Shepherd/Heeler mix and we just adore his strong black and tan coat that is crowned with the best standup ears ever!   His face pleads with you to be happy with him and to be his FRIEND.  Can you imagine all these past months how sad it was not to feel love?  Critter Cavalry Rescue knows that there is a caring family, person,  young couple or empty nesters who just want to pour their love for a dog in need upon a boy like Barnaby.  He is neutered, had all his necessary shots, microchipped, healthy and truly not emotionally damaged.  He just needs that promise of kindness, steady guidance in gentle voices and love.   Love heals everything and makes us forget when love wasn't there in the past.  Barnaby will be a smart and easy dog to polish into a phenomenal companion influence in your daily life.  Contact Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrtennessee@gmail.com  PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comMay 12, 2026, 12:57 pm
