Story
Meet Blue! A charming 5-year-old canine residing in Middletown, NY. This handsome fellow is a delightful mix of Lab and Blue Heeler, boasting a unique and appealing appearance. Blue, a sturdy male weighing 60 pounds, has a heart as big as his size! Blue is a loving and people-friendly companion, always eager to share his affection with those around him. He thrives on human interaction and is known for his gentle demeanor. While Blue may not be fond of feline friends or most dogs, he more than compensates with his loyalty and devotion to his chosen human companion. Trained in basic commands, Blue is a well-mannered pooch who understands the importance of "sit," "stay," and "leave it." Blue's ideal home would include a large fenced backyard, providing him with ample space to run and play. Regular exercise is crucial for this energetic fellow, and he would flourish in an environment where he can enjoy daily activities with his human. Blue, with his endearing personality, is a great companion for those seeking a loyal friend! He revels in the company of his humans and has a particular affinity for toys and chew sticks. Neutered, microchipped, and up-to-date on vaccinations, Blue is ready to join a loving family willing to meet his special dietary needs. It's important to note that Blue would thrive as the sole pet in the household, as he exhibits some aggression towards other dogs and cats due to his high prey drive. A fenced-in yard is not just a luxury but a necessity for this spirited pup. If you are looking for a devoted companion who will benefit from regular exercise, a loving heart, and a home equipped to accommodate his unique needs, Blue might just be the perfect addition to your family! Story
He’s 6.5, 35lbs. House trained can last long hours. Great recall stays with owner. Snuggle bug. Calm/laid back. But he also would enjoy having a job he would love to herd if possible. He’s never had any training on it but he’s a natural. He would do best with no children under 16 or an age that would understand his likes and dislikes. If you ever plan to have children in the future he is not for you. He is an extreme nipper when it comes to children moving quickly around him including babies flinching. He is great left out or in a crate he doesn’t chew or get into anything. Just make sure the trash has a lid. He will require car sickness meds if going on long rides usually give him one children’s medicine pill from the store and he’s fine. He has been around cats but would do best with ones that would just leave him be. Doesn’t like to swim, He’s a great dog just has his heeler quirks and needs an owner who is educated in the breed. He chews his paws do to what the vet calls anxiety.

Story
Meet Alfie If you're looking for a well-rounded companion, look no further than Alfie! He's just as content curling up next to you (or on your lap) while watching a movie as he is playing tug-o-war. He enjoys being outside and smelling new things on his walks. He is completely unfazed by squirrels, great on a slip leash, and would make a great running buddy! Alfie is always down for a road trip and recently had a blast at the beach with his foster mom! He loads up easily to "get up or "up and knows other basic commands. He's house trained and sleeps in a kennel if needed. His best friend is his foster brother, Oliver, who is a 4 year old, 70 lb Catahoula mix. Alfie tends to get along best with younger dogs that are submissive and playful like Oliver. We suggest a meet n greet with resident dogs. He has been great with children (5+) who have come up to pet him, gently licking their faces. Alfie seems to be under the impression that he's supposed to catch a ball with his paws instead of his mouth. He hasn't quite mastered that method, so he just ends up losing track of the ball and making everyone laugh at his goofy quirk. He also loves to be petted and will nudge you if you stop, indicating that you're not done petting him just yet! The ideal home for Alfie would be a house with a fenced yard. He loves being in the same room as his human(s). He's currently left inside for 6-8 hours a day, sleeping by the door or on the couch until his foster gets home. He gets excited to go to sleep in his kennel at night. Alfie doesn't know he's 50lbs, as that doesn't stop him from wanting to be held or cradled like a baby. His foster mom says he is the sweetest boy whose big brown eyes tell you that he just wants to be included in the family, knowing he'll never be left on his own again. To see more pictures and videos of Alfie, copy and paste this link. You must apply directly for Alfie by clicking the “Apply for Adoption” button on the linked page. https://www.shelterluv.com/embed/animal/FODS-A-230 All our dogs come with 30 days of free post-adoption support through Petcademy.org. Story
This precious girl came from one of the worst hoarding situations that we have ever dealt with. there were over 100 dogs on the property, none of them spayed or neutered. Finally, the authorities went in and they managed to get ALL of the dogs out of there. Filthy dirty situation, sick puppies, you name it. We choose to take Blossom home to our rescue because her eyes were begging us for love and attention. She was very pregnant and two weeks after arriving, she gave birth to 7 heathy puppies! Every single puppy was different, every singe puppy had a different daddy! We think that Blossom had never been paid any attention to because she was so shy. Once we weaned her babies we took her out of the nursery and into the house where she just blossomed! That's how she got her name! Her puppies have long since been adopted and now it's her turn. We actually did a DNA on her and it came back with 4 different breeds, which we kind of figured from the beginning. Australian Cattle Dog, Labrador Retriever, Pit Bull, Boxer. Yes, she is truly a "Mutt!: She is extremely smart and will do anything for a treat. I want her to have a nice fenced yard with lots of room to run. Cattle dogs are working dogs and they need lots of exercise! She is spayed, crate trained, fully vaccinated, microchipped and house broken, truly a gem! Ready for immediate transport. ADOPTION FEE $400 PLEASE NOTE THAT WE ARE LOCATED IN TENNESSEE AND YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO MEET OUR PETS PRIOR TO ADOPTION!

Story
Mojo was found as a stray and we made every effort to find his owners but to no avail. He is an Aussie mix and of course with the breed comes high activity. I will say that he loves his down time though! He is NOT an apartment dog. He needs a good sized fenced yard. He is not great in a crowd of dogs but will do well with a sister or brother to play with. He hasn't been tested with cats so we don't know about that. The vet believes his age to be about 6 years. He's neutered, vaccinated, crate trained and heart worm negative. He is more than ready for his forever home!
