Story
Location: Maple Grove, MN Tesla arrived to rescue terrified and pregnant. Unfortunately her puppies did not survive, but now she is loving all that life has to offer in her foster home. Once she learned what it felt like to snuggle with her humans on the couch, she quickly realized it's her favorite thing in the world, and she will leap from across the room when she sees her foster family sit down on the couch - ready for their love. Tesla loves her people, and wants nothing more than love and affection from her family. She is constantly trying to get hugs and snuggles from her foster family (canine and human), and it is so sweet. She lives with 2 kids, ages 8 and 13, and she is great with them and their friends. However, she is uncomfortable with little kids that do not respect her boundaries. (I.e. Toddlers that climb on dogs and put their face in hers is not going to be a fit.) But she does wonderful with kids that demonstrate appropriate dog behavior - letting her approach them, and giving her time to build trust with them. She loves going on walks, and playing with her toys. Her first year of life was spent tied up to the outside of a house, so it is a natural instinct to protect her people and herself. On walks, she can be a bit protective of her family, so it's important to continue leash training to control her reactions. She is extremely treat motivated, and does a wonderful job when we work with her on it! She is relaxed, with medium energy overall, sleeping most of the day while her foster family works. She is potty trained, and kennel trained. She is silent in her kennel overnight, but does have some opinions to express during the day when alone sometimes, so shared walls may not be the right fit for her. Tesla enjoys playing with other dogs as long as she is given slow introductions. Her foster home has 4 other dogs, and she does great with all of them, after a very slow introduction period. Tesla shows a lot of interest in small critters, so we recommend no cats in her forever home. If you are looking for a pet that loves her people fiercely, check out sweet Tesla. She will fill you up with all her love! ----- The best way to show interest in an animal is to submit an adoption application by visiting our website (www.rescuenetworkmn.org). Spayed or Neutered,
Story
Location: Duluth, MN Hi, I'm Bexley! I love my humans and enjoy curling up under their feet while they watch TV or read a book. I don't bark at all, and I'm a good quiet girl in my kennel at night! I had a pretty closed off world for a little while so I am still learning to play again with my foster siblings and to not be afraid of new things. I would definitely benefit from someone who has a doggy companion for me to play with and continue to learn from. I'm currently about 40 lbs but not expected to get too much bigger. I am athletic and would be a great hiking companion! I quite enjoy my time outdoors. My foster mom says my coat is nice and soft after a bath and that I do well with getting my nails done (yay!). I am really very close to being 100% potty trained, only having a few accidents when I get a little scared or overwhelmed (I'm trying my best, just like my right ear!). Mom says I need to learn some leash manners still but is trying to let me settle into our routines first before working on them. I would really love a family that could be patient with my training and offer me lots of love and cuddles! If that sounds like you, please apply for me today! ---------- The best way to show interest in an animal is to submit an adoption application by visiting our website (www.rescuenetworkmn.org). Story
Location: Sioux Falls, SD This is Bo, he is such a sweet guy who's looking for his forever home! He came into the rescue at about 4 weeks and is now 4 months He is still looking for his forever home! He would be the perfect addition to most any family. He does so well with dogs, cats and loves all people. He plays so nicely with little dogs (as he is a big guy). Bo is almost fully potty trained as well as kennel trained. He also does pretty well with walking on the leash! He would love a family to hangout with and snuggle. But would also love a family to interact with him and run around with him in the back yard. Bo loves to play soccer that has become his new found obsession and he could do it forever. He loves to play chase with the other dogs in the home and when he's all done he loves to come in and nap on the coach. Bo is an mazing pup and is in his prime to find his forever home. I'm not sure why he hasn't been adopted yet honestly! He is almost perfect. :) --------------- The best way to show interest in an animal is to submit an adoption application by visiting our website (www.rescuenetworkmn.org). Story
Location: Vermillion, SD Hi! I'm really excited to meet you! Will you give me tummy scritches? I'm Laurel and I like to take long walks.... well... to anywhere. I also like to run too! Maybe we could be jogging buddies? I'm getting really good at this leash thing but squirrels look mighty fun to run after. I don't seem to be interested in chasing a ball or Frisbee though. I will, however, take whatever plushie chew toy you give me and be pretty happy! I seem to be pretty chill about other dogs once I get to know them but I will let you know if there are any shady ones walking by the house. I'm a pretty active gal, want to be my gym partner? ---------- The best way to show interest in an animal is to submit an adoption application by visiting our website (www.rescuenetworkmn.org). Story
Location: Becker, MN Scarletti has been raised around other dogs in the home, both big and small. She was also brought up around two young kids that have been very involved with the puppies, starting at birth. She's very even tempered, and is way more chill than she is rowdy. She loves chewing on toys, playing with other dogs, and snuggling! Spayed or Neutered,
Story
Location: Minneapolis, MNI don't have a single challenge or reservation to talk about when it comes to Mama P. She's been a loving, attentive, and nurturing mama to her 8 puppies. She's been spending less time with her pups and more time with my three small breed adult resident dogs, who she is also great and gentle with. She's not really the type to play, she's very low energy and just wants to be next to her human(s) and take all the belly rubs and kisses she can get. During the day, she loves to sunbathe especially if it's nice enough to do so outside. Sitting on the deck observing her surroundings is her favorite pastime. At night, she sleeps in a playpen away from her pups, and doesn't make a single sound. She really enjoys her alone time to relax and catch up on some much needed sleep. Mama P is fully potty trained and does very well on a leash, I actually think she enjoys the leash because she will not go near the door unless she sees a leash in your hand. I assume it gives her a sense of security. She's not a picky eater and will eat anything offered to her. She's pretty perfect and will do very well in a home with/without children and other pets. ----- The best way to show interest in an animal is to submit an adoption application by visiting our website (www.rescuenetworkmn.org).
