If you do not see information about one of our dogs’ personalities, it is because we do not know much about them yet. We do appreciate a dog meet and greet to see if the dogs are compatible, an appointment is helpful but not required. We can complete a cat introduction at the shelter in a safe manner to get a sense of the dog’s behavior towards cats. With that knowledge, we will provide a blanket statement that you are ultimately responsible for keeping your cat safe. We recommend crate training for all our dogs while they adjust to a new home environment. Please bring along your family to meet the dog you’re looking at to see that it is a good fit. Also bring landlord permission for adopting a dog which includes any breed or weight restrictions.

Daisy is a very beautiful dog who may have when we adopted her been abused possibly by a male for she is afraid of males at first until she gets to know them she's very good with kids we do have a cat who she does not hurt but would like to be friends with but the cat wants nothing to do with her Daisy is very playful really enjoys the winter weathers and the snow my family and I have just become very busy with extracurricular activities and work and school that we feel Daisy would be better off in a better home with more attention less time in her kennel and to be more active she is a very active dog she would benefit from a home with a yard that she can run around in with all her pent-up energy she does dig in her backyard are very little backyard and becomes very anxious for the lack of exercise and play time she does not receive I just personally feel should be better off with a new family who can give her the attention she needs so she can have a happy life

My name is Millie, and I am from Oklahoma! From her foster: Millie, Miss Millie, Millicent, Millie Billie is a very sweet, very playful puppy ready to find her forever home! She loves to play tug with her humans and to play with chew toys. After that, she’s also perfectly happy to settle in for a movie night on the couch! She would thrive in a household with another dog to wrestle around with, but could also be an only dog with proper socialization. Since she’s a puppy, she’s still working on reading cues from other dogs to stop play and her size might be an issue with smaller dogs in those scenarios. But her demeanor is always friendly and playful! Her foster has been working on recall training to solve for this, and she’s been getting better but would be better suited with a dog of similar size. Because of all the love she has to give, Millie gets very excited when humans come home or new humans come over, and she has a tendency to jump up on visitors. She quickly corrects with down/off cues and lower energy greetings, but because of this would do best in a household with older or no children. She does well on a leash with some tugging, which could easily be corrected with more practice. She can be kenneled with some protest, but then settles in nicely. She’s only had one accident while she’s lived with her foster, and is considered mostly potty trained with regular outside time. Millie is a very special dog who will be a great companion for an active household ready to play and receive all the affection she has to offer!
