He especially enjoys having his ears and neck scratched. At first he was very shy, but being around other dogs has already helped him come out of his shell so he'll need a confident companion dog in his adoptive home. He still has some skittish moments and is not fully potty trained, but he has shown quick improvement in just a short time and will likely continue to gain confidence with patience and consistency. Cobre came from a group of four abandoned puppies and is still learning what it means to feel safe and loved. He makes his foster mom laugh by climbing into the water bowl to splash around. The only time he fusses is for a few minutes at night when first kenneled, and then he settles down. Cobre will thrive with a patient adopter who can give him time to adjust and a calm environment where he can feel secure as he blossoms into the wonderful companion he is meant to be. As a result, he is timid with new people still but he is learning that humans can be friends. He really shines when he has a doggy best friend with him to give him a boost of confidence! He loves walks and would enjoy living with an active person or a home with a fenced in yard so he can run and play! His favorite part of day is outside time. He would never come back in if he had the choice. It often looks like he is smiling as he is laying in the grass. We got Winnie from a farmer two years ago as a puppy. Winnie would do very well on a farm or ranch. Or a home with a big yard. She is an outside dog on our hobby farm and gets to run around all day. She is a busy dog and loves to herd anything from chickens to cows. She is also not afraid to talk and is always looking for a job to do. Unfortunately, we are moving and she cannot come with.
