Story
We got Winnie from a farmer two years ago as a puppy. Winnie would do very well on a farm or ranch. Or a home with a big yard. She is an outside dog on our hobby farm and gets to run around all day. She is a busy dog and loves to herd anything from chickens to cows. She is also not afraid to talk and is always looking for a job to do. Unfortunately, we are moving and she cannot come with.

She soaks up attention, and is ready to learn how to be the best dog she can be! Vixen enjoys playtime and has a special love for water, she also does great in the car, making her an excellent candidate for adventures or trips with her future family. She comes from a litter of eight born to a stray in Texas and has been growing in confidence as she explores the world. One thing to note: Vixen is afraid of cats, she is a puppy and may outgrow this, however be prepared to separate if you have a cat, and know time will need to be given to allow her to acclimate. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Goliath is one of the most striking dogs we’ve ever met in person. His shiny coat, unique coloring, and those two mesmerizing blue eyes make him an absolute showstopper—and he gets nonstop compliments wherever he goes. But Goliath isn’t just a pretty face; he genuinely  lives  to be a good boy, please his humans, and do the right thing. He’s incredibly intelligent, highly tuned into people’s emotions and intentions, and picks up on routines and training remarkably quickly. With his smarts come both advantages and challenges: he is extremely trainable and eager to please, but he can also be a bit high-strung compared to other dogs his age. He has no naughty bone in his body, but without proper outlets for his energy and brainpower, he can become restless, showing behaviors like excessive licking, scratching, or whining. With consistent exercise, outdoor time, and a structured routine with clear boundaries, Goliath absolutely thrives. He doesn’t require any special medications or kenneling, and his previous nervous behaviors are completely resolved. That said, he does best in a home that offers both high levels of physical activity and mental engagement, along with consistent leadership and structure to help him feel calm and secure during downtime. Goliath is incredibly well-rounded and trustworthy. He does beautifully with people, other animals, and new situations. He kennels perfectly, rides well in the car, can be left home alone for extended periods, walks politely on leash (especially with a gentle leader), and is 100% potty trained. He knows basic commands—come, sit, down, stay—and listens reliably. Goliath is from an Owner Surrender. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Cobre is a sweet and chill boy who loves being outside and running around the yard. He especially enjoys having his ears and neck scratched. At first he was very shy, but being around other dogs has already helped him come out of his shell so he'll need a confident companion dog in his adoptive home. He still has some skittish moments and is not fully potty trained, but he has shown quick improvement in just a short time and will likely continue to gain confidence with patience and consistency. Cobre came from a group of four abandoned puppies and is still  learning what it means to feel safe and loved. He makes his foster mom laugh by climbing into the water bowl to splash around. The only time he fusses is for a few minutes at night when first kenneled, and then he settles down. Cobre will thrive with a patient adopter who can give him time to adjust and a calm environment where he can feel secure as he blossoms into the wonderful companion he is meant to be. Cobre is from Texas.  If you are interested in getting to know this animal better, please fill out an adoption application. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Dasher is one of the calmer pups from their litter—a sweet, gentle little girl that could use some help coming out of her shell. While her brother brings the hops, Dasher brings the cozy vibes. She enjoys playtime but is more relaxed overall and loves having a comfortable spot to settle in and observe the world. Dasher is already crate training, which gives her a great foundation for success in her future home. She comes from a litter of eight born to a stray in Texas and has been growing into a well-mannered puppy and could use support and training to increase her confidence in the world She would do well as an only dog or with a confident, friendly canine sibling. Dasher is the kind of pup who will happily curl up nearby, follow you from room to room, and bring a steady, comforting presence to your life. Dasher is from Texas. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Meet Blitzen! Blitzen is a playful, cuddly pup who is ready to find his people! Blitzen comes from a litter of eight puppies born to a stray in Texas, and he’s been working on building his confidence as he grows. He would do especially well in a home with another friendly dog to help show him the ropes and boost his confidence. He loves to play and would thrive in a home that’s patient, attentive, and ready to guide a growing puppy. When he gets excited, he hops around and looks spring loaded. Bonus! If you give him some snuggles, he’s likely to fall asleep right on your chest. He’s currently teething, so he needs someone who can keep a close eye on him as he learns what’s okay (and not okay!) to chew—but he’s a smart little guy and learning every day. With love, structure, and a few chew toys, Blitzen will make an incredibly sweet and loyal companion. Blitzen is from Texas. They arrive in Minnesota on 1/10 and will need to be picked up from the Ruff Start Rescue office in Princeton, MN between the hours of 8am-Noon.
