Story
Hi, I'm Lanner. I am smart and loving! My favorite things are Jolly balls for outside, balls, squeakers, runs, training, and trips! I have lots of energy to play play play but can settle in for snuggles too. I am kennel and potty trained and have a strong desire to please my humans. I get along with other dogs well once we've figured each other out. Cats and kids are a little harder for me. I am a higher drive boy and their quick movements catch my attention. I am redirectable and respond great to clear boundaries and lots of loves! A dream of mine is to have a job to do or fun training classes like agility or nose work! I am ready to be a part of someone's future, forever! Lanner's adoption fee is $400 plus MN tax which covers his neuter, vaccinations, microchip and any additional medical care he may have needed while in the rescue's care. We are a foster based rescue, we do not house dogs at a facility. Age and breed are NLR's best guess as we often don't know who or what mom and dad are. If you are interested in adopting, please fill out an application on our website. www.northernlakesrescue.org

Story
Blackjack is a chill guy. He is gentle, respectful of other dogs, cats and kids. Blackjack would love a home with a yard and another dog sibling. His littermate had a DNA test done and they're a mix of Shepard, Heeler, and Border Collie. He's a lower energy dog, he plays in the yard and bit and then finds something to chew on inside to relax. He is a smaller size at only 40lbs. Blackjack is fixed, and fully vetted to age. His adoption fee is 400$ plus MN tax.

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. *This animal is a part of our “Seniors for Seniors” program where we offer senior adopters an opportunity to adopt an eligible pet at a discounted fee.* Hey people! I am Noah! And, like my namesake from the movie "The Notebook", I am swoon-worthy. I am an old-fashioned gentleman who likes to take a walk alongside my love interest. I currently live with 5 dogs, and I get along great with all of them! I think it may be in part due to my charm. I am an unassuming chap who takes long, luxurious naps. My foster mom says I snore, but at least she knows where I am at all times! I have a bum leg, so I don't run that much. I can go downstairs, but I struggle a bit coming back up, so a one-level place would be great for an older man like myself!  I do like to bark, so a home without shared walls would be best for me! I love to wag my tail and do a little happy dance whenever there is food involved. I do carry a little bit of extra weight, but don't worry, I'm working on it!  My foster mom thinks I am a great companion for anyone who is looking for a low-maintenance, sweet, cuddly guy!  One big thing you should know is that Noah is heartworm positive - but please don’t let that scare you away from adopting them! He has already finished his treatment and is currently just on activity restrictions. Heartworm is not a contagious disease. Click here to learn more about heartworm disease, which is transmitted by mosquitoes. Noah Calhoun is from local impound.  If you are interested in getting to know this animal better, please fill out an adoption application. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Meet Loulou. She loves all people and did well with kids when down in Texas. She was found as a pregnant stray that had been living under an old abandoned porch, but she was trapped and brought into rescue to have her babies. She must be leashed when outside at all times as she has been known to be a bit of an escape artist. Lou is not completely potty trained but is working on it every day.  Lou is kennel trained and will sleep there soundly through the night. She would like a home with dogs her size or larger, and without cats or small dogs.    If you have the time, patience and love that Lou needs, please fill out an adoption  application   today.  It could possibly be the best decision you've ever made.
