Story
Gentle Ben was found tied to a boat with a steel cable - he had deep injuries on his neck as a result from this cable digging into his skin. Regardless of how badly he was treated in the past, Gentle Ben is a sweet and happy boy these days! Ben adores all the attention he can get from his humans! This gentle boy can be shy and hesitant to trust new people but once that bond is made he is right by your side. This gentle soul does well in a crate at night and when recently in a foster home needed a few reminders about house training but seemed to pick up quickly on it. Ben has been known to pester cats so would do best in a cat-free home. Ben can jump a regular chain-link fences, so he will require a privacy fenced home or leash walks. His estimated DOB is 6/12/15 and he is about 64 pounds. All of our pets are fixed, up to date on their vaccinations, and microchipped. The Haven of the Ozarks is open form 9am-4pm, seven days a week. Story
Yosemite Sam is an incredibly sweet dog to all the people he meets. He gets along well with children of all ages and dogs of all sizes. He has only ever known outdoor life, so he will need some help in house-training! Yosemite Sam tried the hardworking life of a ranch dog, but farm animals really kick in his prey drive. What he really wants is to live the spoiled life of an indoor dog! His estimated DOB is 6/15/2017 and he weighs about 60lbs.All of our pets are fixed, up to date on their vaccinations, and microchipped. Story
Chase was found as a stray with what we believe are his brother and sister. Chase was the last one to be caught. He was originally very frightened and untrusting but the family that had him worked for 2 1/2 months with him and his siblings to get them comfortable while they waited placement at a shelter. Chase is still more on the timid side but has come to find he loves scratches and affection! His estimated age is 3/22/22. All of our pets are fixed, up to date on their vaccinations, and microchipped. The Haven of the Ozarks is open form 9am-4pm, seven days a week. Meet T-Bone! He is a handsome red merle cattle dog/ red heeler mix who is estimated to be around a year old. He came in with his sister Brisket and has a personality very similar to hers. He very much still has that puppy energy and is very playful. He is a real charmer and loves all the attention he can get. He often does a silly little wiggle when he get excited which is just the cutest. T-Bone has been treated for flea/tick and has been wormed. He cannot wait to find a high energy, playful, sweet family that matches his charming personality and that he can spend forever with. Story
This gorgeous Heeler/Shepherd mix is searching for her forever home. This lady is all about the quiet life: her ideal home would have ample space to roam around, a soft couch for daily naps, a sunshiney porch to lay on, and humans who respect her personal space but will love on her when she asks for it. She adores throwing stuffed animals around (RIP to the many stuffies that have crossed her path!) and basking in the sunshine. She's had a rough go in life, so it understandably takes her a bit of time to warm up, but once she does she's an absolute sweetheart. We think she'd be happiest as the solo dog in the home, but older kids who are able to respect a dog's boundaries could be a good fit.
