Story
Hello, our names are Carson (m), Bridger (m), and Colton (m). We are the cutest, sweetest, funniest, silliest babies you have ever met. We are like watching a three ring circus never knowing who is going to do what. But, the more you laugh, the sillier we are. We are not bonded siblings. We live with other rescue pups. Here at my foster mom's place, there are adult dogs, cats & kittens, a horse and a rooster. She has a creek running through the property which is good because we LOVE water. Our lives began in a rural community. The man who owned my parents was not responsible. So, here we are. But the bad part is, he could not hardly pay for food, vetting our three boys, or fixing our parents. He could not even give us flea/ tick prevention or heartworm prevention for our parents. The kind lady who was notified about us took us into her rescue. Today we are fed, full vetting is being done, flea/ tick prevention along with heartworm prevention is being given. I would like to have a family who is active, likes the water, goes for walks, hiking, camping, snuggling and car rides. Please request an application from alittlelonger2home@gmail.com. When you receive the application please fill out completely to include your three references email addresses. The references cannot be related to you. See you soon, I am waiting. Bridger Male Not neutered Breed: Aussie/ Lab mix Age 15 weeks old (As of 05/19/2025) Weight: 18lbs Color: Yellow & white & Black Great with people, older children, dogs/ puppies, cats/ kittens, a horse, and a rooster Adoption donation $495

Story
Hello, my name is Rex. I came to the rescue with Olivia. No one knows where we came from or why we were on the rural stretch of highway. But what is known is that a very kind-hearted widow came home when we were spotted. Our rescuer stopped on the shoulder of the highway, opened the back hatch on her car, opened the crate door in her car, then told us to "load up". So, we did. We were blessed to have a rescue lady get us. We love her. Today, we are ready to be adopted. We are not a bonded pair and are happy to be your home's only dog. I, Rex, am just the happiest boy. I love life, have tons of energy, and adore people. I would be great for hiking, camping with a running buddy, or going to the beach for a day to play on the shoreline. I am a car rider, dog social, and love humans. I am ready to come home. I am ready for the next chapter of my life with YOU. Please request an application from alittlelonger2home@gmail.com. Story
Meet Lovely Lindy...This pretty girl was pulled from a Texas shelter on what was supposed to be her last day (cue the dramatic movie music). A retired foster scooped her up just in time, and this brave, belly-full mama delivered her adorable litter like a champ. After raising her pups, Lindy got spayed, powered through heartworm treatment like the strong Southern gal she is, and is now heartworm-free and loving life.💖 Personality & Perks:—Professional cuddle buddy, especially after a nice walk or adventure.—Loves her humans and even will be your dance partner! https://youtube.com/shorts/D5T5eVV4HDA?feature=share —Plays great with large dogs. Small dogs are unknown. Prefers males and needs slow intros.— She needs slow intros with humans too , especially females, once she is comfortable and trusts you she will be ready for snuggles. — Cats? Meh — when cat-tested, she gave them the ol’ “not impressed” look and moved on._Small Children are a NO, She does not like the excitement little ones bring, so we are saying Lindy needs a home with children over age 12. —House-trained (doggie door pro!) and working on her leash manners — her love of treats makes training a breeze.—Lindy does well in the car. She is all about the road trip vibes.🌿 Ideal Home:An active family or person who loves a good walk, hike, or adventure — followed by quality couch snuggles, of course. Miss Lindy isn’t “hyper,” just the perfect mix of energy and chill.Check her out enjoying a wonderful stroll:https://youtube.com/shorts/Rj9Y7Nw68fc?feature=sharedAnd then obviously smelling something in a downed tree:https://youtube.com/shorts/gfyzl54ow-o?feature=sharedShe’s spent her life making sure everyone else was taken care of — now it’s her turn! Story
Hi! I’m Penney. Before I let my friends at PAWS New England tell you about me, there’s something important that I want you to know. I am differently abled, but I am not disabled!!!Penney came into rescue in Louisiana in February of 2024 when she was 5 months old and almost immediately joined the PAWS New England family. Once in New England, she was seen by a neurologist for her abnormal movement. The final diagnosis was not definite, but thought to be cerebellar hypoplasia. Since her symptoms haven’t worsened over the last 2 years, this appears to be the case, and she should have no changes in the future. What this means for Penney is that her movements are not smooth and coordinated, but this doesn’t keep her from walking or running or from being a very happy dog! She often makes slapping motions with her front legs. When she’s really excited, her head movements also become uncoordinated. This lovely girl was adopted when she was about 8 months old, and her people loved her. The older cats, however, didn’t feel the same way. Her family tried very hard for almost 2 years to try to make this work. Besides working with a trainer, they even built cat walks along the walls. However, the now elderly cats are not able to cope to the point of stopping eating. And Penney was constantly being corrected. They painfully made the right decision for Penney and the cats, and surrendered her back to PAWS.Penney loves people, but appreciates a few minutes to get acquainted with strangers. A week after arriving in her current foster home she attended a family get together and really needed only minutes to accept people she hadn’t met. She also ignored food on the coffee table after being told once that wasn’t for her.She absolutely loves other dogs, and takes corrections from them well. She happily lives in her foster home with other dogs that can tolerate her puppy-like uncontrolled movements. She can also live as an only dog since she adores people. Because she’s can’t completely control the movement of her legs, she can’t live with cats. This gem is crate and house trained. She enjoys a fenced yard where she can sometimes do zoomies, and also likes going for walks. She also enjoys toys at times. Before coming back to PAWS she had started doing scent work, which she also enjoyed. She has been DNA tested and is a mix of Australian cattle dog, Australian shepherd, and beagle but she doesn’t have the inexhaustible energy of those breeds. Stairs are off limits for her with her balance issues, and she might not do well living in an apartment. If you’re interested in learning more about this wonderful unique girl, submit an application as we would love to talk to you about this beautiful girl!https://youtu.be/NiG8BvxTJUUName: PenneyBreed: Aussie Cattle Dog/Crossbreed   Sex: FemaleAge: 2 years  (estimated)Weight: 42lbsSpayed/Neutered: YesVaccinations: Up to dateHeartworm: Negative on recent testingMicrochipped: YesBASED ON OUR OBSERVATIONS: Good with Children: Over 12Good with Dogs: YesGood with Cats: NoAdoption Fee: $550.00  (includes transport fee when applicable)                       $100-150 additional mandatory quarantine fee for Massachusetts residents.Location of dog currently:    New EnglandIMPORTANT INFORMATION - Paws New England is a foster-based rescue; our dogs reside in various locations throughout the south & New England.  Adoption donations cover pre-adoption veterinary costs (including vaccinations, spay/neuter when age-appropriate, and heartworm testing/treatment when necessary), a microchip, and transportation to New England, if necessary.Donations for our young, healthy puppies and dogs support their fellow canines of advanced age or suffering from injuries and abuse, whose donations are reduced but whose veterinary costs are typically much higher.
