Story
The adoption fee can be negotiable. We just want Eris to have a loving home without other pets. She is such an amazing, sweet dog. We rescued her from a shelter 2/3/23, and we were told she was afraid of other dogs. We had a behaviorist come out to assess her, and she cannot be around other pets, unfortunately. We own 4 other dogs (and 3 cats @.@), and so we can't keep her and other other pets safe long-term. She listens -very- well to people, and she is endlessly loving to people. She just isn't getting enough people time here because we can't have her around the other pets. Her dream home would have: -leash-only outside time, 6ft secure fence, or so much land that it doesn't matter -no other pets (unless they are caged/kenneled and not out at the same time) -loving people We have gotten her bloodwork checked and can give all records to her future home. We know she's healthy, and we just desperately want her to be in a home where she can be happier.

Story
Oliver is a 7yr old smaller dog of mixed breed. He loves to stay inside but he will go out to play catch or run past us to roam the neighborhood. He was abandoned by his owners a few years ago and we took him in. Problem is we have other, much larger, dogs and he is afraid of them. He seems to get along well with other dogs in the neighborhood that are smaller like him but with two Labs and a Great Pyrenees he has trouble keeping up with them often choosing to hide from them. We are looking for someone who can give him more attention than we can. We see that with our bigger dogs he often gets left out of activities. We took him to the vet on May 1st 2023. He is in excellent health and all his shots are currant. We're not sure what breed he is we believe he's a Blue Heeler mix. We just want to find him a good home where he can be a dog without having to compete with our larger dogs.

Story
Bo is a 2 1/2 year old Australian Cattle Dog. Very energetic. Has good herding instincts. Warms up to adults quickly. He is not that great with younger children as he tries to nip / bite at them (herding instincts). He is obedience trained and does fairly well but he is still young and wants to be rambunctious. He needs open spaces and tasks to accomplish. I am experiencing more health issues and do not have the open spaces to allow him to work or play. He needs to be outside more than inside. He likes to fetch although he doesn't always want to bring the ball/toy back.

Story
Murfreesboro, TN Meet Dottie Mae... no longer a stray. This precious gal was a stray in rural TN. After numerous failed attempts to catch her, she finally surrendered and let me approach her after I caught her going through my trash looking for a rotisserie chicken on a very cold winter morning. She is now fully vetted, housebroken, and looking for her forever home. She is good with our toddler, but she does have herding/nipping tendencies so younger kids could be fearful of this (iykyk, NOT aggressive). Her excitability seems to be too much for my older dogs so not a great fit if your dog isn't into playing, but she does often go next door and play with the neighbor's dog- who has energy to burn- and does well. Good with cats. The MOST snuggly baby ever... velcro lap dog for sure. LOVES her person and makes a great co-sleeper, doesn't move. She needs to exercise, this breed has ENERGY. Would do great on a farm or with an active family. DOES NOT BARK- great house dog!

Story
Charlie went to a short time foster for a weekend shelter break. She gives the following report: I had the privilege of keeping Charlie at my house for 2 days and nights. In that time, I learned some important things about him. Charlie is a friendly and affectionate guy who LOVES his person. He would be a great dog for someone who is looking for a furry companion to bond with; he is extremely loyal and wants to be by your side. He loves to snuggle and thinks of himself as a lap dog. He loves to play fetch and then loves to gnaw on the rubber ball inside, entertaining himself for long periods of time this way. He even plays fetch to himself inside. He has energy and is grateful for reciprocal attention, but he is also completely appropriate with his behavior inside a home, particularly if you provide him with at least some short walks a day. He enjoys these walks outside and will walk right by your side. If he sees another dog while on a walk, he is quite interested and will start to pull the leash, but he is easily redirected with a "sit, even on a Martingale collar (the least restrictive kind). He stops at all doors in a home and sits, rather than bolting out, when it's time to go for a walk. He loves treats when he is doing well and has a soft mouth to accept them, but I found that outside of the shelter, he in no way demands them. He is happy for whatever attention you give him, be it pettings, outside time, or inside time. He's definitely crate-trained, and while he will whine or bark when you first put him in it, he settles down and quiets eventually. In the beginning, due to over-excitement of being in a home, he had a couple of small pee accidents, but once he was told sternly not to do that, he stopped. He peed and pooped outside. Charlie is very smart and very eager to please, easily redirected in all ways within the context of a home. He's a curious and happy guy. He responds quickly and respectfully to redirection if he feels playful and mouthy. He loves people in a room (including big and littler bodies) and will rub up against them for affection. He's playful and fun, but he is also able to settle down and rest, preferring a big dog pillow to do so. He loves dog toys. As time progressed, he was more able to settle and rest, lying on his side, as initially he was "checking out the home and glued to the side of his person. Charlie is submissive to dominant dogs in a home. He wants to play with them but is respectful of their signs if they are not interested. He could easily be an only dog or a dog among others. There are so many good things about Charlie. Overall impressions that I got from him are that he will love the attention of one particular person, but he is very open and friendly to all people he meets. He sees most parts of a home as new and interesting-I don't think he has had much experience with seeing household objects-but he leaves things alone that are not his. While the kennel environment of the shelter and the seeing/hearing of all the dogs there is very stressful for him, he is a totally different dog in a home environment. He would make a wonderful pet and would be so grateful for the chance (I sensed that gratitude with the toe kisses at my feet and his affectionate looking into my eyes while he was with me). Charlie is a great dog and would be the most loyal and affectionate companion.
