Story
You can tell me if something needs to be changed. Cleo is an 8 year old toy Aussie female. She is spayed, UTD on vaccines and heart worm negative. She is great with kids and other dogs. She is housebroken, but does need to be on a leash or in a fenced in yard, when out to potty or play. She does roam if she gets a chance. She loves to carry around a bone. She needs soft food due to having some teeth removed. Not sure what she went thru before we found her, but she does need to earn your trust. Or you need to earn her trust basically!! SHE JUST NEEDS A LAP TO LAY ON. Available dogs are met by appointment only and pre-approved adopters ONLY.Our dogs are currently in a foster homes which can answer your questions better than anyone else. We promise our fosters that we will qualify all potential adopters before we ask them to communicate with potential adopters. The application is the first step. Pleae complete the adoption (or foster) application here: https://www.russellrescuetn.com/application-for-adoption/You will be contacted if further information is needed.  We are 100% volunteer powered. Story
(i am also willing to change or remove rehoming fee if i see you have adequate property and a good home) This dog is a goofy and loving boy. very energetic at 2 years old and definitely needs room to run! He does well with the two small dogs he lives with. He has gotten intimated by a bigger dog before but just acted scared and vocal. He does get very defensive around your property and home. which means he would make a good guard dog for the outside of you property. If not kept outside he will need to go on a walk 2-3 times a day to poop. he loves car rides and open spaces to run. overall a great family dog and loves kids and would do amazing on a big piece of land. He would also come with a big crate since he is crate trained and could help him transition when staying in a new home. that’s if you were keeping him inside. He also is part husky so the heat is very hard on him. if he was kept outside in the summer he would need very adequate shade and lots of water

Story
We are trying to help this sweet girl called Bonnie to find a home since her elderly parents are in failing health and cannot care for their five dogs.  Bonnie is a mix of some interesting breeds.  We think she has some Aussie and maybe Boxer in her.  The Australian Shepherd trait is what makes her a protector of the yard and home when strangers approach.  She is the home security dog officer!   This girl is losing her home because her elderly parents have fallen into bad health.  Bonnie is 4 years old and weighs a little over 40 pounds.  She adores people and is good with the other dogs that she spends time with in the fenced yard.  She is housebroken, affectionate and a devoted girl to her family.  If you would like to give Bonnie her next forever home, please email Critter Cavalry Rescue who is helping her at ccrtennessee@gmail.com PLEASE NOTE:   Our dogs and cats are fostered in Tennessee and can transport weekly up to the Northeast region.  Request an application and learn more about Critter Cavalry at https://www.crittercavalry.com/adoption.March 26, 2024, 11:20 pm

Story
My name is Tubbs and I am a 3 year old, 60 pound Aussie boy that found myself in a small town shelter in Middle Tennessee.   I have been in the shelter since November and because of finances and legal matters, the shelter has not been open to the public for adoptions.  I have had no promotion whatsoever to help me find a home until now.  I really, really need to get out of this place and have someone really love me and let me love them back.  I am good with other dogs from what they can tell.  I do think I need to get out of the small kennel run and have a place to stretch my legs and to help me stay positive.  I am neutered and healthy and happy for the most part.  I would be MUCH HAPPIER if I was NOT in the shelter.  Maybe if you cannot adopt me…could you foster me?  I need exercise and someone who is dog savvy and training smart.  We Australian Shepherds are very intelligent and we can test your abilities sometimes by being a little stubborn.  I promise to have fun and to be devoted to someone that is devoted right back.  If you are interested please write to Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrtennessee@gmail.com PLEASE NOTE:   Our dogs and cats are fostered in Tennessee and can transport weekly up to the Northeast region.  Request an application and learn more about Critter Cavalry at https://www.crittercavalry.com/adoption.March 26, 2024, 11:20 pm
