Story
Well, bless your heart—you finally found me! Who’s me, you might ask? Well, I’m Miss Rae! I’m a Southern belle in San Antonio looking for my forever family. So, if you’re looking for a lady to lasso your heart, let me tell you a little bit about myself! First of all, I am perfectly mature at 6 years old, meaning no potty training! That’s right, my house manners are as mannered as they can be. I keep my crate clean, I am completely potty trained, I ride perfectly in the car, I walk beautifully on my leash, and I never bark. Think of me as an Australian Cattle Dog cheat code: my breed is typically known to be highly energetic, but I'm quite the opposite. I am a bit of a couch potato and definitely a lap dog, despite my large size. My easygoing, cheerful nature leads me to get along with everything and everyone, even kids or other pets. I am always ready to please my folks… Treats are just a yummy bonus. I would make a wonderful companion for anyone who is a first-time dog owner, or even a senior couple that wants a calm, cuddly companion. So, if you want a dog who is as sweet as sunshine, apply to take me home! I can’t wait to meet you! Watch my video!

Story
Straight out of the Super Mario Bros. universe, this dynamic little diva is ready to leave the Mushroom Kingdom for her forever home!  Rosalina is a funny, sweet girl who first revved up her puppy engine in Atascosa, Texas. She followed the rainbow road all the way over to SNIPSA, where she and her siblings hope to find true love in new lands. This girlie is true to her Heeler roots: She has high intelligence and high drive, so if you want a pup who will keep you on your toes, she might just be the perfect "Player 2" for you. At her young age, she adjusts well to most home environments as long as you can offer an adequate amount of time, training and patience as she grows into your most faithful companion. Heeler mixes are also known for their medium size and eager-to-please nature, making them well-rounded dogs for folks who love adventure. Rosalina will join you on every hike and every boat ride, sticking by your side (or herding you) as you near the finish line. When you get home, she'll happily crash out by your side while you get in your daily dose of couch potato time. So, whether you need a high-speed gaming partner or a snuggly sidekick, this girl has you covered! Apply to meet Rosalina today.

Story
Straight out of the Super Mario Bros. universe, this dynamic little dude is ready to leave the Mushroom Kingdom for his forever home!  Mario is a supercharged supermutt who first revved up his puppy engine in Atascosa, Texas. He followed the rainbow road all the way over to SNIPSA, where he and his siblings hope to find true love in new lands. In foster care, Mario has a super high score! He is very playful and loves to rough and tumble with the other dogs in his home. At night, his foster mom gets to experience his cuddly side, as he crawls right into the bed to sleep by her side. Mario has some funny quirks, like hunting and pouncing on his toys, and he perks right up when he hears the word "treat!" He has been using his potty pads like a champ, too. Since he is treat-motivated and eager to please, he will make an easy training candidate. This guy is true to his Heeler roots: With his smarts and stamina, he will keep you on your toes! At his young age, he adjusts well to most home environments as long as you can offer continued structure and exercise. Mario is just three months old, and just can't wait to "power up" your life! So, whether you need a high-speed gaming partner or a snuggly sidekick, this guy has you covered! Apply to meet Mario today.

Story
Meet Nova, a true survivor with the softest heart. This docile, independent girl spent months on her own after escaping her original home, surviving in a nearby neighborhood. A kind neighbor began feeding her, and though she kept her distance at first, trust slowly grew until she was finally brought to safety. Even then, she showed her sweet nature—playfully bowing from afar and following along on walks, just unsure of how to belong again. She’s incredibly smart and resilient—car-savvy and resourceful enough to dig dens to stay warm during cold snaps. Her microchip revealed she once had a home, but sadly, her owners couldn’t take her back. Now, Nova is ready for a fresh start. She’s crate trained, great with other dogs, and loves belly rubs. She enjoys both indoor and outdoor time and is learning leash skills. Like many heelers, she forms a deep bond with her person and will be your loyal shadow. And yes… she still has a love for snacks—street life taught her well. She’s done surviving—now she’s ready to be loved. Apply to meet Nova today. Watch my video!

Story
Pepita is a Friday afternoon miracle who arrived just in time. When a SNIPSA staff member spotted her at ACS with a painful hind leg, it was clear she couldn’t be left behind. Pepita had apparently been struck by a car and sustained a degloving injury (significant skin loss) to her rear ankle area and a broken foot. She convalesced at the local shelter for almost a month, receiving bandage changes, antibiotics and pain management. Before long, she won the hearts over of her caretakers and was eventually transferred to SNIPSA for further care. She may have arrived in a hurry, but she has spent every moment since teaching us the beauty of slowing down. Now safe in her foster home, this sweet girl has officially embraced her true calling: the art of the professional nap. While her leg continues to mend, Pepita’s spirit is soaring, proving that a little injury can’t dampen a heart as loyal as hers. She is a medium-sized master of the afternoon siesta, looking for a dedicated partner to join her in a lifetime of synchronized snoring. She loves to prance and explore sniffing out every corner of our office. If you’re looking for a soulful companion who values a soft blanket and a quiet cuddle above all else, Pepita is ready to retire into your arms. Apply to adopt this resilient girl today!

Story
Clementine is a sweet, extremely loyal dog. Shes got a quirky attitude to her and will love to follow you wherever you go. She can be energetic at times but nothing a good run in the backyard can’t handle. She loves her stuffed animals and will go hog wild on them. Shes a wonderful, amazing dog and if we could keep her , we absolutely would. She’s easy to train and knows the basics, very food driven and INCREDIBLY smart.

Story
Open the door to your own Casita, and welcome in Felix! This adorable, cuddly guy is seeking his forever home. It shouldn't take long for him to settle in somewhere -- after being raised by devoted mother, Alma, alongside several bouncy siblings, he is a true embodiment of familial love. Felix is ready to show off his magic gifts to a forever family that will cherish him for years to come!  We expect Felix to stay under 25 pounds, given his short stature! He is the smallest and his litter, and we're surprised he hasn't gotten adopted yet (because he's the cutest, too... in our opinion). Felix is getting the hang of his crate training and potty training, and he is well-socialized with small children and other dogs of all ages. He's not overly demanding, though he loves to curl up in your lap and he definitely has a playful side. Felix has the sweetest grumbles and he will give a short "yap" when he wants your attention. Overall, he's a well-rounded boy that is simply loved by everyone. At three months old, he is starting to learn more about the world and all it has to offer for precious rescue dogs. So, we invite adopters to step into our version of the Casita for a meet & greet, whether it's his foster's home or an adoption event! Apply to meet Felix if you believe he belongs in your family's miracle!
