Story
Rocky is 8 years old. His birthday is in January. He is a loving friendly dog who would do best with a female owner. He is timid around small children. He gets along great with other dogs and cats. He is a bit shy but once he warms up to you he is very sweet. Rocky has had two knee surgeries on the same knee but he is healthy as can be. He loves to run and play ball.

Story
Meet Gimli, the dog who is always on the go! He’s a 2yr old blue heeler mix who loves to be a busy body. His idea of a perfect family is where he’s not left alone, receives plenty of attention, affection, and play time. Gimli is crate trained and sleeps securely and quietly in his crate at night. Gimli knows basic commands like sit, down, come, and stay but may need a couple reminders before doing them. He loves to chase his herding ball outside and chew on his favorite toy, but he does have a tendency to get bored. That’s why his idea of a perfect family is one where he won’t have an opportunity to be bored. Gimli will need an experienced dog family to improve his focus and bring his energy level down. He does ok on a leash but will get excited to greet new faces if they get too close. He’s been friendly with all dogs and cats he’s met. Gimli doesn’t understand when his friends no longer want to play though because he has so much fun. He also plays well with kids and has been aroun

Story
Hi, my name is Cal girl I will be 2 in August, before my parents adopted me, I lived on a ranch, I had six other siblings. My mom is a collie, and my dad is full blue heeler, I have been raised with a little children, teenagers cats, my whole life, I’m a little skeptical of people, because when my family adopted me, that’s when Covid hit , so I wasn’t able to be socialized correctly, but if you gave me a chance and have patience, I am a lovable, trainable dog. I am fully potty trained. I love to lay in bed and cuddle. I love kisses and I love to give kisses. I don’t like the vet I don’t like my nails cut but again I’m a little weary and I just need a Patient understanding parent .

Story
Hey you!!! Felix here. I bet you thought you’d seen the last of me. After all, how could a handsome, well-behaved guy like myself still be up for adoption? Well, I’ve had a ruff time finding that special person. I’ve been at SNIPSA since September, and while I’ve bonded with every single person here, nobody else seems to be looking my way. I am on the larger side, have darker fur, a longer nose, and stand up ears. I guess that is not the popular look so my savior has not quite come forward. I’m not giving up, though! Let me tell you why I could be the perfect dog for you to foster or adopt. If you haven’t seen me waggin’ my tail around the office, you’ve probably seen me on social media. I’m extremely photogenic, fun-loving and social. I’m the kind of guy that would go on ANY adventure with you without complaint - Selfies included. In the several months since I was rescued off the streets, I’ve also learned how to become the ideal house dog. I am well-behaved, non-destructive and loyal beyond belief. You can leave me loose when you’re away and I’ll stay busy napping and playing with my toys. When you get back, though, that’s when the real fun starts! I really look forward to hangin' out with people or my chosen dog friends. Also, leashed walks are my favorite part of each day. No need for a personal trainer - I never tire and can totally help you reach your fitness goals. At the end of the day (or after a good workout), I enjoy cuddling on the couch and tangling up in your legs. I love my squirt cheese puzzle toy and peanut butter in a cone. Honestly, you won’t be able to find a more well-rounded dog. So, if you’re looking for a workout buddy, a cuddle bug and forever BFF, please consider fostering or placing an application to adopt me. Be the one to give me the second chance I have been longing for.

LAHNA… Lahna, Lahna, bo bahna, bana fana fofana, fe fi fo fana, Lahna! This pup is full of love and she is ready to give it to ya, but you need to check a few things off her list first! Lahna is looking for a home with a spacious yard, lots of toys and maybe even some other dogs. Since she hails from a blend of working breeds, she is happiest when she is active and would even enjoy having a job to do. She is a great partner for walks/hikes and has been perfectly potty-trained since day one. Lahna also loves playing with the three other dogs in her foster home and enjoys cuddling up on the couch with her foster family in the evenings. We’ve learned that she enjoys being part of the action and doesn’t overly demand attention from humans. That said, once Lahna gets to know you, she is the most affectionate, loyal girl. She bonds deeply with her chosen people and will do anything to please them. So, don’t overlook this fluffy-tailed sweetheart! Give her a chance and apply today!

Story
Jake is the older of the two dogs and is on the right. We estimate him to be around 30-40 lbs and maybe a year old. They were found wandering the streets in the freezing weather. We think Jake may have been abused because he is very skittish of people. He has warmed up to my husband because he has been able to spend the most time with him. He will still shy away from my son because he is very loud but has not been aggressive with him. Has not had an accident in the house and sleeps in the kennel at night. Very protective of the backyard but will back down when you tell him it's alright. Does not bark in the house unless startled. Needs more time and attention than we have as well as a larger yard. We have a very small backyard. We just didn't want them to starve or be injured on the street.
