A committed home is required for their ride to WI, and we’re hopeful the right people are out there. Meet the Gem Litter These little gems include three sisters, Pearl, Ruby, and Sapphire, and three brothers, Emerald, Amethyst, and Garnet. They are tiny heeler puppies, currently around 5–6 weeks old and weighing just 3–4 pounds. Despite their small size, they have big personalities and are full of typical puppy energy and curiosity. The Gem Litter came into the shelter after being dumped and are now in the kill shelter system. They’ve been given a second chance and are ready to start fresh with families who can help them grow, learn, and thrive. All six puppies are friendly, playful, and social. They do well with dogs, cats, and kids, and enjoy interacting with people. Expect normal puppy behavior — lots of wiggles, curiosity, and a little sass mixed with plenty of sweetness. They are currently working on potty training and crate training and are doing well for their age. They are not leash trained yet, as they are still very young and itty bitty, but they are eager learners and will benefit from continued positive training and routine. Explore our adoptable animals and find your perfect match today! For the latest updates on the mutts, follow us on Facebook: @muttlifewi Visit our website: Muttlife.org __________ Lucy Needs a Foster or Adopter to Secure Her Ride to Wisconsin Lucy is currently with our rescue partners in Arkansas and is available for foster or adoption for our transport on 2/14/26 to Cedarburg, WI with Mutt Life Dog Rescue. She must have a foster or adopter committed in order to secure her spot on the transport. Meet Lucy Lucy’s story is one of second chances. She came from the Arkansas kill shelter system and was fortunate enough to make it out and into a foster home, where she’s been showing everyone just how much potential she has. Lucy is an 8-month-old, medium-energy pup weighing around 35–40 lbs, and we suspect she may have some cattle dog traits. She is smart, alert, and eager to learn. Lucy does well with other dogs and enjoys being part of a pack. She rides exceptionally well in the car and travels calmly in her crate, even on longer trips like rides to the lake. She is crate trained and currently working on all the basics, including potty training, leash skills, and household manners. Lucy knows her commands and listens especially well with confident, consistent leadership. With continued structure and positive reinforcement, she will thrive. Lucy would do best in a home that enjoys engaging with their dog, continuing her training, and helping her grow into the confident, well-rounded companion she is meant to be. Age: 8 months Gender: Female Weight: 35–40 lbs Breed: Cattle Dog Mix Spayed: Yes Potty Trained: In progress Crate Trained: Yes Leash Manners: In progress Good with Dogs: Yes Good with Cats: Not tested Good with Kids: likely, yes Lucy has already overcome so much and is ready for a fresh start. A foster or adopter will give her the chance to make the 2/14/26 transport and begin the life she deserves.
