Story
Meet Luke. He is a chihuahua/heeler mix around 7 months old. He is very shy around new people but latched onto me as foster mom right away. He will pick a person and slowly learn to let others love him too. He really started to show himself after 3 weeks so patience is key. He loves to play with his foster sister so if you have other dogs he will fit right in. He does sleep in his crate at night but has also slept in bed. He does go in his crate when nobody is home. He potty trained very quickly. He also does know sit. He is such a sweetheart and cuddle buddy once he gets comfortable.

Story
If you’re a “cat person”… you might just fall in love with this dog. 💛 Waylon is the kind of pup who stops you mid-scroll with his handsome looks—but it’s his quiet courage and unique personality that truly make him unforgettable. This sensitive boy is still learning that the world is safe. Loud noises, busy homes, and unpredictable environments can overwhelm him, so he’s searching for a calm, peaceful home where he can finally relax and just be. Waylon isn’t your typical Velcro dog—and that’s part of his charm. He’s wonderfully cat-like in the best way: independent, observant, and thoughtful. He’ll come to you when he’s ready, ask for affection on his terms, and let you know when he’s had enough. Those moments of connection? They feel extra special because they’re earned. 🐾 He would thrive with a confident canine companion to help show him the ropes and build his confidence. With the right dog and a patient human, Waylon is already making beautiful progress—choosing curiosity over fear, allowing more gentle interactions, and getting braver by the day. Waylon isn’t the life-of-the-party type—but he is the kind of dog who forms a deep, meaningful bond with his person. The kind of connection that makes every small win feel huge. ✨

Sweet Ella is learning to trust 💜 For many dogs, a belly-up pose is just another way to relax—but for Ella, it means so much more. When she came to us at just 5 months old, she had some trust issues. Getting to this point has been a journey filled with patience, love, and small, meaningful victories. Now, every time she rolls onto her back, it’s a beautiful sign of the trust she’s built and the courage she’s found. It’s a reminder of how far she’s come—and how bright her future can be. We’re so grateful to be part of her journey.

Hi, I'm Tobey! I'm a friendly, affectionate guy looking for my forever home! I'm happiest when I'm getting attention and playing with my favorite people! I've lived with children of all ages and have always done well with them. I could do so again as long as they can keep up with my energetic personality! I'm also a smart boy who listens well and is always down for using my brain! I've lived with another dog before and enjoyed having a canine companion to wrestle and play with. I've also lived with indoor cats and have done well overall, though I may chase during play. I am ready for my fresh start! If you're looking for a loyal, affectionate companion who loves attention and being part of the family, I'd love to meet you! A committed home is required for him to make the trip, and we’re hoping the right person will give him the second chance he deserves. Meet Pickle Pickle is a 3-year-old Red Heeler/Bully mix who is ready to start over after a heartbreaking loss. He originally came into the kill shelter as a return after the passing of his owner—through no fault of his own, his whole world was turned upside down when the person he loved most was gone. Now safe in a foster home in Georgia, Pickle is patiently waiting for his next chapter. He’s the kind of dog who forms deep bonds with his people and truly wants nothing more than to be close to them. Pickle is a classic “velcro dog” who loves to follow his person from room to room, just happy to be near you whether you’re relaxing, working, or going about your day. Pickle is also a big, lovable boy who enjoys the simple joys in life—snacks, a comfy bed, and a good game of fetch. He’ll happily chase a ball with enthusiasm, though retrieving it is still a work in progress (he has his own interpretation of the game). He’s also very smart and eager to please, showing off a perfect sit when treats are involved. More than anything, Pickle is a loyal, affectionate dog who just wants a person of his own again. A home where he can feel safe, loved, and included will mean everything to him. He is currently 70lbs, but is working on losing some of the extra fluff.
