Story
Meet Leo -- one of our most overlooked dogs. Leo, a handsome and young pup, was once E-Listed for being scared and shut down at the county shelter. After being in our care for almost a year, he's fully blossomed into a playful and affectionate dog. It's almost a no-brainer Leo is a volunteer favorite -- he's playful, incredibly affectionate, walks well on leash and is very obedient being eager to please his handler. Leo knows basic commands and is very trainable. He is a great walking companion being non-reactive and keeping a steady pact by your side. Leo loves to play with toys and gets the fastest zoomies when he gets excited. Leo has gone overlooked since he came into our care back in May of 2025. Not a single application and we can't understand why. With his amazing personality, playful spirit and striking good looks, it's a shame this boy hasn't been scooped up by somebody. Leo would thrive in a home that can keep up with his youthful spirit but will also lay on the couch and cuddle. He'd do best with confident handlers that can provide structure, routine and continued training.

Story
Thank you for your interest in adopting a cat or dog. We are open for walk-in adoption visits seven days a week from 10 am-5 pm. NO Appointment needed. Meet Koda! Koda's journey hasn't been the easiest. Found as a stray and initially quite undersocialized, he was safely trapped and brought into a foster home before making his way to our shelter. Since then, this sweet boy has blossomed into a fun-loving, affectionate dog who has completely stolen the hearts of our staff and volunteers. Koda is the kind of dog who will keep a smile on your face every day. He is incredibly sweet, wonderfully silly, and always ready to make you laugh with his goofy personality. One of his favorite things in the world is belly rubs, and he will happily soak up all the love and attention you're willing to give. He enjoys going for walks, running around the yard, and spending time with his people. Koda gets along well with other dogs and would likely enjoy having a canine companion. We are unsure how he does with cats. He would do best with a family that can continue building his confidence and socialization, as he is still learning that the world isn't such a scary place. Koda is a medium-energy dog who loves both playtime and relaxation. Watching him grow and come out of his shell has been incredibly rewarding, and now he's ready for the next chapter of his life. Koda has already captured so many hearts here at the shelter. Now all he needs is a forever home to call his own. Could that be with you?
