Story
Kirk was found as a stray and was taken to the county shelter. Kirk was placed on the New Hope list. The New Hope list is for dogs in urgent need of adoption, or to be taken in by a rescue ASAP, due to various issues. Kirk was showing weakness in his back quarters. In fact, when Home Fur Good met him, he was unable to stand. HFG agreed to take him in. MCACC kept Kirk for a few more days and took x-rays. It appears Kirk had issues with his growth plates, the areas at the end of certain bones that allow the bones to grow. He was given pain medication, a consistent diet, and some TLC. When HFG was ready to bring Kirk into the shelter, he had already gained the ability to stand and move around. Kirk is growing into a healthy boy with wiggly puppy behaviors. He has been given a birthdate of April 8, 2023, he currently weighs 27 pounds, and he is an Australian Cattle Dog mix. Are you looking for a happy puppy that will keep you on your toes? The adoption fee is $300 and includes spaying/neutering, age-appropriate vaccinations, microchipping, and a free wellness visit at Phoenix Mountain Animal Hospital. Our adoption hours are Thursday-Saturday from 11:00 am-4:00 pm by appointment.

Story
Mango is a delightful dog adopted from the Humane Society last June by a family that cannot provide the activity she needs. She is definitely a working dog. Very friendly and loving and well-behaved when she gets exercise. Mango has excellent conformation, is a dark brindle with white markings, ears like a German Shepherd and a curly tail. Photos coming later today or call me if want faster... posting issues. When originally rescued (June 2023), Mango was positive for Parvo, but tested negative two weeks later when spayed, vaccinated and micro-chipped. This is a smart, loving dog that I would keep myself if we didn't operate a cat rescue in our home with a plant nursery in the back yard, If she sounds like she might be your forever best friend, please call Jana Selig at 480-652-1477 to arrange meeting. Call me, Susanne, for pictures and if Jana not available (working). Yes, texting fine.

Story
My name is Henny, and I am about a year old and approximately 45 lbs. I am a mama who was brought to ATR after giving birth to my pups. They are all grown now and I am ready to find my furever home too! I love to play with tennis balls, chew toys, or go for long walks and runs. A good cuddle session is always one of my favorite things to do too! I will do best in a home with a yard and no other pets. You can make an Adult appointment to meet me today! To meet this pup, schedule an appointment by going to www.adoptapup.as.me and selecting Meet Our Pups! or Meet our Adult Dogs!
