Meet your New Best Friend! If you would like to reserve this doggie and have us bring them to the event of your choice for you to meet first, you can do so by paying a non-refundable deposit of $50 to our Venmo or Zelle account (619-918 2142 in the name of Amazing Dogs; pls indicate your telephone number). This deposit will go towards the adoption fee. After receipt of your deposit, we will confirm your reservation and list the doggie on our website as ‘Pending Adoption’. All our doggies come with their health record and have received all necessary medical care, which includes (but is not limited to) all vaccines, de-wormer, anti-flea/tick medication, microchip and of course spay/neuter surgery. Our adoption fee is $500. Only in California, the fee for babies under a year old is $600. Please consider this not as a price you pay for the doggie, but as a (tax-deductible) donation to our charity, so we can continue our work and take care of the 250+ dogs in our shelter. Story
Why Pepper is the one for you:Meet Pepper, a smart and loving girl who's ready to be your constant companion! Trustworthy and well potty-trained, Pepper is the definition of a loyal sidekick-she'll follow you around the house, always wanting to be near you. When it's time to relax, she'll wait patiently at a distance for an invitation to snuggle, and if you don't invite her, she'll subtly scoot closer over time, just to make sure you know she's still available. Pepper absolutely adores car rides, tug of war, and running around, making her a wonderful mix of playful and affectionate. She's mastered commands like "sit" and "hand," especially when food is involved. She'll try her best to stay by your side and is looking for a family who is home frequently and wants to spend time with her. She's not a candidate for being left alone in the backyard as she may try to escape to go track you down! Pepper is also looking for a home without other cats or dogs - she wants to be your main furry friend! In return for your companionship, Pepper will shower you with endless love and cuddles. She's looking for someone who will be there for her, just as she'll always be there for you. If you're ready for a smart, affectionate, and loyal best friend, complete the interest form above!Pepper has been chosen as an Employee Pick! To see what makes her extra special click here. Story
How this pet arrived: Bonnie was brought in by her previous owner on November 27, 2024. Why this pet is the one for you:Meet Bonnie, a happy and loveable dog looking for her new home! She came into our care with a fractured leg, which is healing up nicely. Bonnie is very intelligent and full of energy. One of her adorable quirks is her "Heeler nibble" - a playful little nip at your ankles! Bonnie has shown herself to be affectionate and enjoys meeting new people, happily accepting pets and neck scratches. She loves fetch and toys and would love it if you join in the fun, but is also great at entertaining herself. Bonnie is not a fan of sharing, and would thrive best as the only pet in the home where she can soak up all your attention and love. She has some reactivity to unfamiliar dogs (resulting in barking and pulling on the leash), which can be managed with some positive reinforcement training. She is not a candidate for dog parks or other off-leash venues. If you're looking for a gentle, loyal companion who will fill your days with joy, come by our Oceanside Campus and meet Bonnie today!Dog Reactive Dog: Bonnie requires a virtual behavior consult, please watch THIS video to learn more about them. Primary Color: Red Secondary Color: White Weight: 44.2 Age: 2yrs 2mths 1wks

Story
How this pet arrived: Tamale and Pupusa were brought in by Humane Law Enforcement on November 14, 2024. Why Tamale and Pupusa are the ones for you:Meet Tamale and Pupusa (#932920), an inseparable pair of doggos with hearts full of potential! These sweet sisters are looking for a patient, understanding home where they can grow together and truly shine. Having come from a background with limited exposure to the world, Tamale and Pupusa are shy and cautious around new people and experiences. They will thrive best in a calm, adult-only home (or one with kids 12+) without other dogs, where they can feel safe as they build their confidence. A ground-level home in a quiet neighborhood with easy access to a potty area would be ideal for their continued progress. With guidance from our trainers and the comfort of a large crate (provided upon adoption), Tamale and Pupusa will have the tools they need to settle into their new home and embrace the joy of love and companionship. Are you ready to give these two devoted sisters the safe and loving home they deserve? Stop by to meet Tamale and Pupusa today! Shy/Fearful Dog: This pet requires a virtual behavior consult, please watch THIS video to learn more about them. Primary Color: White Secondary Color: Red Weight: 38.125 Age: 1yrs 3mths 3wks
