Story
This is a courtesy listing, not a SPOT Rescue dog. For more information regarding Handsome, contact info below.. Let me introduce you to HANDSOME! He's a gorgeous Aussie Shep/Border Collie mix (our best guess) Gentle Handsome was trembling and shut down in the back of his shelter kennel in Los Angeles, CA. Frightened, shut down dogs at the shelter are on a fast track to the euthanisa list. Handsome was on the kill list that day but fortunately, he locked eyes with a volunteer at the shelter and she just knew that she could not leave him behind. She pulled him from that awful place and drove him from LA straight to a very special foster in San Diego. His foster is also an amazing dog trainer and she has worked tirelessly to help Handsome get over his trauma and fears. The progress over several months has been slow but steady and nothing short of miraculous! (Please view Handsome's before and after videos to see what skill, patience and love can achieve!) Handsome has come so far! Such a good natured pup, he adores wrestling with his special dog friends and playing with toys. He's learning to trust new people, and he's ready to bond with a dedicated adopter who will help him build confidence through a calm, consistent approach. Handsome is quite smart and loves learning new commands, and he adores other dogs! Handsome is a medium-sized dog of fifty pounds, three years old, neutered, and fully vaccinated, this brave, sweet boy is so ready for his own home with patient, loving adopters. His trainer is located in North County and is committed to helping him and his new adopters with a smooth transition to a new home. On going training and support will be included in his adoption. Handsome is good with other dogs but takes a while to warm up to new people. He is potty trained and crate trained. His ideal home would be an adult environment. Handsome would love to be adopted to his forever home but we understand the challenges of adopting an adult dog. Handsome would be open to a foster home where he could continue his training and positive world experiences. Adoption fee will be discussed with a qualified adopter. The most important thing is to find Handsome his forever home! Contact @cynmoore on IG or email cynmoore7@gmail.com Handsome is ready to come home!

Story
Kristi is a Australian Shepherd Mix. Her estimated date of birth is 8/20/2015 and she weighs 40 lbs. She is up to date on all of her shots and she is fixed. Kristi is OK with people that she knows but is not good with new people. She is better suited for a home that has no cats, no kids or other dogs or small animals.  Kristi does like to vocalize and would be best in a house as she needs a lot of space to run around. Kristi is not good alone and does need someone she can trust to be her side most of the time. Kristi requires a very special diet and does not tolerate prepackaged dog food well. She has some minor skin issues that do require weekly medication.  She has a very high energy level and would require exercise on a daily basis for at least 1 hour otherwise she has the tendency to be destructive to items.  Kristi does have some issues on a a leash and has a small problem with marking in homes. We do not have a central location to see our dogs.  Meeting any dog is by appointment ONLY currently. Appointments can be set up to meet any dog in San Diego. Currently we are unable to do any out-of-state adoptions. If you are interested in a particular dog please FILL OUT an Adoption Application at our website @ http://bajadogrescue.org/ready-to-adopt/adopt and we can schedule you for an appointment to meet with a particular dog if it is available. We do require an application if you are interested in adoption.  If you are interested in potentially adopting please fill out an application at http://bajadogrescue.org/ready-to-adopt/adopt. Your application will be reviewed and you will be placed on a waiting list for the dog(s). If your name comes up on the waiting list(s) we will contact you. Story
Rocky has been with our family since he was 9 weeks. He is from Jamal,ca and was born August 28,2018. He is a very well loved dog but unfortunately we are no longer able to keep him home I’m looking for a family who can provide him plenty of exercise and mental stimulation. Preferably with no kids, Rocky is a great and loyal companion. He loves to follow his owner around. He is also very protective and will bark to alert owner of any threats he sometimes tends to bark at someone just passing by our front door. Something that he might need training for barking. He is an inside dog and loves to sleep on a big comfy dog, he loves laying with a fan infront of him and enjoys a good cuddle. He does have a sensitive stomach so I have to be very careful with treats and dog food. If there’s any other questions pls reach out 😊

Story
Meet Sonny! He is such a handsome boy. Sonny is a two-year, eight-month-old Aussie Shepherd. He is a handsome boy who loves some belly rubs and gives you a paw when he hasn’t been done getting a pet (see picture)! Unfortunately, he’s not great around children or smaller dogs. He has exhibited dominance and aggression, making him a less-than-perfect candidate for our household with an eight-year-old daughter and other kids around. His resource-guarding behavior is the reason he is listed as having special needs. He needs a home where he can be the only dog in an adult household. Sonny needs to be adopted by an experienced dog owner who would be able to identify any signs of potential aggression and take him to training to get rid of that aggression. CHARACTERISTICS Friendly, Affectionate, Playful, Smart, Independent, Loves kisses With a heavy heart, we’ve decided it would be best if he were to find an environment that gives him a better chance at success and happiness with an experienced dog owner. To meet Sonny, email his foster dad, Joseph, at joseph.e.moser@gmail.com. PLEASE NOTE: This is a Courtesy Listing, and ARRF is not familiar with this dog. Please see the contact information at the end of his bio. Thank you.

Story
Marshall is a 7-month-old, very sweet boy who is looking for his forever home to start the New Year. Li'l Marsh loves to lounge around, go for walks, chew on bones and play with his dog friends. Marshal is a playful, friendly, quiet puppy that has been great with all, though he can be more on the timid side at first. He is doing great on his house training and has been well socialized with other dogs (he loves playing with his siblings) and would make a great running or hiking buddy. Marshal loves to play with toys and would love a family to snuggle with. He is also neutered and vaccinated. He is a smart puppy who loves to learn and would very much enjoy going to puppy classes with his humans - it's a great way to bond with your new furry family member. Marshall's Adoption fee is $450 and includes spay, microchip and current vaccinations. To fill out an adoption application, visit https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/SSP-A-841. Story
Hello, my name is Shadow and I am a black and white mutt who is 7 months old. I am full vaccinated and spayed. I have a very funny personality and love to go on nature walks, play in the hose, and tug of war with my ropes and toys. I am crate trained and sleep all night. I love my daycare and have been in training to socialize better with other dogs and people. I still have stranger danger and will need someone who understands my dog anxiety better. I am very sweet with all the people I am comfortable with but will still need help on my walks and meeting new people with a professional trainer. I am extremely food motivated and will do almost any command for a good treat. I can't wait to meet you and find my forever home. Shadow's Adoption fee is $450 and includes spay, microchip and current vaccinations.
