Story
Paris Summer's dream is to be the only dog in a loving family. Everyone comments on how pretty Paris is, but in addition to being beautiful, she is so sweet, sociable (she loves affection), great with kids and loyal . She is a 2.5 Yr. old Australian Shepherd/Australian Cattle Dog mix and weighs 57 lbs. True to her breed mix, she needs regular exercise and really looks forward to her daily walks. She is great on a leash and house trained with access to a back yard. Paris is overall a healthy girl; however she has a neurological condition called Nystagmus., (More information can be provided on request) It is not progressive or painful, but it causes a bit of a wonky gait and she circles when she's excited. (Her version of running back and forth.) Can you help us make Paris Summer's dream come true? Paris's adoption fee is $350.. includes her spay, current vaccinations, and microchip. Story
Marmee is a young female dog with lots of love to give! She's an affectionate, curious, friendly, funny, loyal and playful dog. She's great with other dogs, which is awesome because she's a social butterfly. She's smart and funny, and she's always up for a game of fetch or a nice walk in the park. She's a great listener and she's always willing to cuddle - did someone say belly rubs? She's a young girl with lots of energy, so she's looking for a family to give her lots of love and play. Could that be you? Come and meet sweet Marmee today!

Story
We saved Nevaeh from being put down from her previous owner due to her not getting along with their older female dog. She is a very loving dog who is protective and cuddly. She loves to play fetch and is a great walker!! Unfortunately, I can’t keep her at my apartment anymore and want to find her a loving home rather than put her in a shelter!!

Story
Meet Sonny! He is such a handsome boy. Sonny is a two-year, eight-month-old Aussie Shepherd. He is a handsome boy who loves some belly rubs and gives you a paw when he hasn’t been done getting a pet (see picture)! Unfortunately, he’s not great around children or smaller dogs. He has exhibited dominance and aggression, making him a less-than-perfect candidate for our household with an eight-year-old daughter and other kids around. His resource-guarding behavior is the reason he is listed as having special needs. He needs a home where he can be the only dog in an adult household. Sonny needs to be adopted by an experienced dog owner who would be able to identify any signs of potential aggression and take him to training to get rid of that aggression. CHARACTERISTICS Friendly, Affectionate, Playful, Smart, Independent, Loves kisses With a heavy heart, we’ve decided it would be best if he were to find an environment that gives him a better chance at success and happiness with an experienced dog owner. To meet Sonny, email his foster dad, Joseph, at joseph.e.moser@gmail.com. PLEASE NOTE: This is a Courtesy Listing, and ARRF is not familiar with this dog. Please see the contact information at the end of his bio. Thank you.

Story
Kristi is a Australian Shepherd Mix. Her estimated date of birth is 8/20/2015 and she weighs 40 lbs. She is up to date on all of her shots and she is fixed. Kristi is OK with people that she knows but is not good with new people. She is better suited for a home that has no cats, no kids or other dogs or small animals.  Kristi does like to vocalize and would be best in a house as she needs a lot of space to run around. Kristi is not good alone and does need someone she can trust to be her side most of the time. Kristi requires a very special diet and does not tolerate prepackaged dog food well. She has some minor skin issues that do require weekly medication.  She has a very high energy level and would require exercise on a daily basis for at least 1 hour otherwise she has the tendency to be destructive to items.  Kristi does have some issues on a a leash and has a small problem with marking in homes. We do not have a central location to see our dogs.  Meeting any dog is by appointment ONLY currently. Appointments can be set up to meet any dog in San Diego. Currently we are unable to do any out-of-state adoptions. If you are interested in a particular dog please FILL OUT an Adoption Application at our website @ http://bajadogrescue.org/ready-to-adopt/adopt and we can schedule you for an appointment to meet with a particular dog if it is available. We do require an application if you are interested in adoption.  If you are interested in potentially adopting please fill out an application at http://bajadogrescue.org/ready-to-adopt/adopt. Meet Carolina! Carolina has been in her foster home for about a month now, and we have heard she has been such a pleasure to have around! She has made a lot of new friends, both furry and human alike! Though a little shy, Carolina warms up fast and is very trusting. Carolina is still up for adoption! Story
Meet Lucas! This beautiful boy is between 1.5 and 2 yrs old, he is 45 lbs. Lucas was found on the streets with no ID tag or microchip. We suspect he got out of his home and got lost. His family couldn't be located despite efforts to find them. He was taken to the Vet for vaccinations, neuter surgery, blood work, and microchipping. He is healthy and happy. Since his rescue, he has been living with his rescuers/fosters. The family has 2 other dogs and Lucas gets along great with them. Lucas is very friendly, full of energy, playful, requires lots of stimulation. Gets along with people of all ages. He LOVES to go out on walks and runs, he is super agile and smart. He is not food aggressive. He loves treats y toys. The foster discovered that he gets his feelings hurt when she mistakenly threw a toy for him to fetch but hit him instead (it was a soft toy), he thought the toy was aimed at him instead. Please be mindful of this. He sleeps in the living room in his bed with blankets. He goes potty outdoors. He does not like crates, he gets stressed out and cries if confined. He "talks" to her foster to let her know when he gets hungry. He is funny! Lucas has to go to a family that is active, as this guy will need a couple of walks/runs per day. Please keep in mind that Aussie Shepherds are active and energetic, love playtime, exhibit an impulse to herd anything. If you are looking for a brainy, active, and trainable partner for work or sport, this is the dog for you.

Spayed or Neutered,
Story
Hello, my name is Shadow and I am a black and white mutt who is a year and a half old. I am full vaccinated and spayed. I have a very funny personality and love to go on nature walks, play in the hose, and tug of war with my ropes and toys. I am crate trained and sleep all night. I love my daycare and have been in training to socialize better with other dogs and people. I still have stranger danger and will need someone who understands my dog anxiety better. I am very sweet with all the people I am comfortable with but will still need help on my walks and meeting new people with a professional trainer. I am extremely food motivated and will do almost any command for a good treat. I can't wait to meet you and find my forever home. Shadow's Adoption fee is $350 and includes spay, microchip and current vaccinations.
