Story
How this pet arrived: Alfie was brought in by their previous owner on November 23, 2025. Why this pet is the one for you:Meet Alfie! Alfie is a lively, playful boy who loves toys, enrichment, and anything that keeps his busy brain happy. He may start off a bit shy, so he appreciates slow introductions and the space to build trust at his own pace. A low-traffic home with kids 12+ would suit him best, and make sure everyone is present to meet him. He can get a little nippy when he's excited, but once he's comfortable, he enjoys grooming, petting, and even baths. And when playtime is over, he'll happily drop his toy and settle right down. Alfie has successfully lived with a calm dog friend before, but rambunctious canine roommates are definitely a no-go. If you have another dog, slow, controlled introductions are a must. He's also proudly crate trained, giving him a cozy spot to relax. If you're looking for a playful companion who thrives with patience and structure, Alfie might just be the perfect match! Shy/Fearful Dog: This pet requires a virtual behavior consult, please watch THIS video to learn more about them. Primary Color: Red Secondary Color: White Weight: 43.6 Age: 5yrs 8mths 2wks

Story
Small Mini Australian Shepherd. 6 years old. I unfortunately never had him professionally trained so he has some behavioral issues. I think with the proper environment, a large yard, and someone who can dedicate a lot of time to him, he would be problem free. He would thrive in a home with a large yard, no children and not cats. He usually gets along with other dogs, just NOT huskies for some reason. He needs someone with a lot of experience with dogs and a very good understanding of dog training. A certified dog trainer will definitely be prioritized as top choice.

Story
Luna is a smart, affectionate, and energetic dog who is also naturally protective. She’ll always let you know if someone is at the door, and she takes her job of looking out for her family seriously. She has nipped and has been known to growl at dogs or people when she feels the need to protect her loved ones, but with consistent training and structure, her guarding instincts can absolutely be managed. Luna is VERY smart and loves to show off her athletic side — especially when catching a frisbee in mid-air! Like most Australian Shepherds, she needs plenty of mental stimulation and physical activity to keep her happy and balanced. Daily exercise, playtime, and continued training will help her thrive. With the right home that understands her breed, provides guidance, and gives her an outlet for her energy, Luna will make a loyal, fun, and devoted companion.

Story
Kristi is a Australian Shepherd Mix. Her estimated date of birth is 8/20/2015 and she weighs 40 lbs. She is up to date on all of her shots and she is fixed. Kristi is OK with people that she knows but is not good with new people. She is better suited for a home that has no cats, no kids or other dogs or small animals.  Kristi does like to vocalize and would be best in a house as she needs a lot of space to run around. Kristi is not good alone and does need someone she can trust to be her side most of the time. Kristi requires a very special diet and does not tolerate prepackaged dog food well. She has some minor skin issues that do require weekly medication.  She has a very high energy level and would require exercise on a daily basis for at least 1 hour otherwise she has the tendency to be destructive to items.  Kristi does have some issues on a a leash and has a small problem with marking in homes. We do not have a central location to see our dogs.  Meeting any dog is by appointment ONLY currently. Appointments can be set up to meet any dog in San Diego. Currently we are unable to do any out-of-state adoptions. Story
We rescued Cosmo, his mom and 7 of his siblings from a bad home. They were less than 24 hours old and have been raising them since. We have been fostering them for the last 8 months until we can find them a home. Cosmo is our last sweet baby that is needing a home! He loves to play and run around. He does pee a little when he gets excited- but the vet said it is something he will grow out of! He is an amazing dog and needs someone who is willing to walk him and/or have a big yard!

Story
Shadow is a high drive working breed border collie who needs someone with breed experience (preferred). Fulfillment requirements: She will need more than just an hour long walk a day to meet her physical requirements. She currently bikes, hikes, and loves to swim. She is also well versed in carrying a weighted pack on her hikes, which helps her tune into her body and slow her mind. Shes an athletic girl and needs someone to match that lifestyle. Socialbility (Dog preferences): Shadow is dog selective. She would be perfectly fine in a home with no other dogs but would also do ok if she found a home with the right dog for her. No little dogs or other small animals tho. She doesn't enjoy every dog but enjoys most in the proper introductions are taken. She doesn't enjoy chaos with other dogs but loves to partake in structured pack activities. She is NOT a dog park or high-energy daycare type dog. Training: Shes crate trained and sleeps, eats and rests in one daily. Shes highly intelligent and learns quickly. She is well versed in basic obedience cues: sit, down, stand, stay, recall, place, middle, and loose leash walking. She does not enjoy being approached, touched or spoken to by strangers but has increased her thresholds for tolerance by quite a lot. She can navigate public spaces with the proper guidance but is probably never going to be a "coffee shop" dog. Shadow's Adoption fee is $250 and includes spay, microchip and current vaccinations.
