Story
Marco is a beautiful Red Heeler mix with lots of interest in herding whatever there is to herd. He is a dog that would do best in a single-dog family as he is not interested in the companionship of other dogs, cats or children.Marco will soon be ready for his forever home!! He is currently in a board and train programwith Specialty Dog Training here in Oceanside, CA and in the ideal world, he would transitionfrom his training program directly into his new adoptive home. His board and train programincludes lessons for his new owners so here is a great opportunity to adopt a dog who hasseveral weeks of intensive training AND additional lessons for his new humans to help get“them on board” with the training as well!According to his trainer, this handsome guy is your typical cattle dog – intelligent, energetic, loyal to his human(s), can be wary of strangers and not necessarily concerned about building agroup of canine friends. Marco will thrive with a breed savvy owner who is looking for good-looking, canine partner to share life with. Going to dog parks or lying under the table at a café isnot something Marco would enjoy but a moderately strenuous hike or a learning a new activitylike scent training would be right up his alley! As with all cattle dogs, solid leadership from his human and a daily routine with structure willhelp Marco live his best life. He has been gaining confidence each week in his training programas he learns new skills and understands what is being ask of him. While his trainer believes hecould co-exist with another dog, he seems to be selective in his choice of canine friends. Wehave not seen him around children but unless the home is very breed savvy, we would notrecommend a home with children. Marco appreciates his space and children typically do notunderstand this concept well.If you are interested in adopting a dog with the mind of a rocket scientist and exceptionally good looks, Marco could be the one for you. He is currently reviewing applications so please click below and submit yours today if you'd like to come meet him.

Story
Ike is a real pack animal and would be happiest with another dog. This gorgeous 28 lb, 10 month old male Blue Heeler/Aussie Shepherd mix is playful, and energetic. Like most herding breeds, Ike is smart, loyal, and checks in and keeps an eye on his 'pack'. Not a dog who likes to lay around all the time, he needs regular exercise and mental stimulation to thrive. He is working dog, so he needs a job. Ongoing training for Ike would help satisfy that need. This boy loves going for walks runs, playing with other dogs, and hanging with his people. likes to entertain himself with toys and and is a constant source of entertainment Ike has a previously healed fracture in his rear left leg. He had a very rough start in life and is now enjoying being a loved family member in his foster home. Ike's adoption fee is $450 and includes neuter, microchip and current vaccinations. To fill out an adoption application, visit https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/SSP-A-838 To follow Ike on his journey to a loving family on SPOT's Facebook page, visit https://facebook.com/spotsavespets/ and on Instagram at https://www.instagram.com/spotsavespets/

How this pet arrived: Xenophone was brought in by a community member on January 20, 2024. Why this pet is the one for you:Looking for a new best friend to conquer the great outdoors? Look no further than Xenophone, the adventurous hiker extraordinaire! This charming pup may start off a bit shy, but once you break out the tennis balls, he transforms into a fetching fanatic. Lakota is 16 month's old. High energy dog. He is a Parvo survivor and currently up to date on all vaccines. It brings me no joy to rehome him but I am not currently able to give him the time and attention he needs. He is good around my kids and other dog. He loves going for hikes and playing fetch. He barks at newcomers but has never bit anyone. If interested call or text and I will answer any questions you have.

Story
Bluey was rescued moments before she was to be euthanized at a shelter in Riverside due to over capacity. Bluey is approximately 2 years young.  She weighs 49 lbs and she is fully grown.  Based on her gorgeous eyes and beautiful coat we think she is an Austrailian Cattle Dog mix.   Contrary to the breed Bluey is on the lower energy side, but does love to play.   Blueys foster says she is doing very well and she walks great on a leash, loves car rides,  plays with toys. Her favorite hobby is to sun bathe and loves the water.   She sleeps all night on her bed and is doing amazing with their smaller dog (she was kenneled at the shelter with 2 other dogs her same size).  Bluey would do well in almost any size home as long as she gets some exercise and is loved on.  Are you the right family for Bluey?   Bluey is ready to make some family very happy. She is available for adoption now so if you would like to be making memories with this cutie, complete an application: http://petstablished.com/adoption_form/4362/generic ##1544463##
