You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Kane's Comeback: From Tragedy to Triumph Sweet Kane has already lived through more in his young life than most dogs ever will. Struck by a car in a devastating head-on collision, Kane was left with a shattered jaw and a broken nostril. The impact nearly took his life — but this brave boy refused to give up. And neither did we. Thanks to the incredible team at TLC K9 Rescue, Kane was rushed into emergency care. Two CT scans revealed the extent of the trauma, and it was worse than anyone imagined: 21 embedded baby teeth and sharp bone fragments were trapped around his nasal passage, posing a serious risk of infection and further complications. Over the course of two intense surgeries, skilled veterinarians carefully removed every tooth and fragment, working tirelessly to give Kane the second chance he so clearly deserved. It was touch and go at times, but Kane’s resilience never wavered. Through every moment of pain, he wagged his tail, soaked up love, and showed us just how strong his spirit really is. Now, after weeks of healing, tender care, and a whole lot of love, Kane is not just surviving — he’s thriving. His jaw is healing beautifully. His breathing is clear. And most importantly, his heart is wide open, ready to finally experience the joy of a real forever home. Kane is a living reminder of what love, hope, and dedication can do. TLC K9 Rescue spared no expense and left no stone unturned to bring him back from the brink — and today, we are thrilled to announce: Kane is ready for adoption. If you're looking for a loyal companion with a heart as big as his comeback story, Kane might just be the one. Let’s give this special pup the happy ending he’s fought so hard to reach. Story
How this pet arrived: S'mores was brought in by a community member on December 20, 2025.Why this pet is the one for you:S'mores is a handsome boy with a heart full of wiggles and enthusiasm. This charming pup is full of personality and ready to share his joy with an active person or family who's looking for a canine companion to keep up with them. With his happy energy and eager spirit, S'mores is the kind of dog who makes every day a little brighter. As a working-breed type, S'mores is definitely not a couch potato. He's looking for a home that enjoys long walks, hikes, outdoor adventures, and quality hang-out time together. S'mores is still learning and will benefit from continued training, structure, and mental enrichment to help him thrive and channel his energy in positive ways. He's at his best when he has a job to do - whether that's learning new skills, exploring new trails, or being your adventure buddy. It is important to note that S'mores has an unsteady and wobbly gait. The cause of this is currently uncertain, and we recommend following up with your veterinarian if you notice any worsening or have further concerns. S'mores will benefit from patience, consistency, and positive guidance as he continues growing into a truly great dog. Building trust and understanding will be key to helping him succeed. Children in the home must be 8 years or older and must be present for interaction. If you're ready to let this wiggly boy trot right into your life, S'mores can't wait to meet you! Please bring a leash and collar for a safe journey home.Excitable Dog: S'mores requires a virtual behavior consult, please watch THIS video to learn more about him. Lulu is an excitable, high-energy girl who came to us as a stray, so her past is a bit of a mystery.
