Meet FERGIE, a stunning 1.5-year-old Siberian Husky mix who was rescued just in time from Contra Costa Animal Center before facing euthanasia. Her life was hanging by a thread—but today, she’s safe, thriving, and ready to start her next chapter. Weighing about 35 lbs, Fergie is the perfect medium size—and the perfect mix of beauty and sweetness. She’s incredibly affectionate, loves people, and gets along great with other dogs. Her gentle, loving personality makes her an ideal companion for just about any home—whether it’s an individual, couple, or family. Fergie is already spayed, fully vaccinated, and microchipped, and all she’s missing now is a forever home where she can feel safe, loved, and cherished. ✨ Foster-to-adopt is also an option! She survived for a reason—now she just needs someone to choose her. If you’re ready to open your heart and home to this amazing girl, please contact the rescue today. Story
Meet Leona & Gracie – A Bonded Pair of Beautiful Siberian Husky Sisters Leona (tan with blue eyes) and Gracie (brown with blue eyes) both survivors of Contra Costa Animal Services are stunning Siberian Husky/Australian Kelpie sisters who are approximately 1½ years old. Each weighs between 35–40 pounds and is healthy, energetic, and full of personality. Both are vaccinated, spayed and microchipped.  These sweet girls are naturally shy around people indoors, but beneath their cautious nature are gentle, affectionate, and loving companions. They are curious, friendly, and non-aggressive with both dogs and cats. While they are good eaters, they prefer to dine privately and are most comfortable eating when people are not nearby. They are not particularly motivated by treats for training purposes, although they do have a few favorite treats they enjoy sharing together in the backyard, especially after a walk. Leona and Gracie are sensitive souls who startle easily with sudden movements or approaches. They take time to build trust, but once they feel safe with someone, they enjoy gentle affection and attention. They thrive with calm, patient people who respect their boundaries and allow them the space they need to feel secure. As a bonded pair, Leona and Gracie are happiest when together. Whether they're relaxing on their dog bed indoors, exploring their secure fenced yard, or heading out on an adventure, they find comfort and confidence in each other's company. Watching them play together is a joy—they are full of energy, husky antics, and sisterly fun. Daily walks are the highlight of their lives. The moment they realize it's time to go, they become animated, vocal, and excited. On walks, they truly shine. They walk well on leash, are easy to guide, and love exploring new sights, smells, routes, and environments. They are intelligent, curious dogs who thrive on outdoor stimulation and exercise. Regular daily walks are essential to their happiness and well-being. Because of their strong prey drive and independent husky nature, Leona and Gracie should not be considered off-leash dogs. At this time, neither reliably responds to voice recall or commands when distracted. Since entering foster care, both sisters have continued to make steady progress and gain confidence. They would do best in a quiet, calm home with a securely fenced yard and a family willing to provide patience, kindness, consistency, and understanding. In their foster home, they have a designated quiet space where they feel safe and can relax or nap when needed. A home with younger children would likely not be the best fit, as a busy household could increase their anxiety. Instead, they would flourish in a peaceful environment where they can continue building trust at their own pace. Leona and Gracie are truly special dogs. Their foster family adores their unique personalities, endless husky quirks, and the laughter they bring every day. They are inseparable sisters who are looking for a forever home willing to embrace them exactly as they are—a loving, devoted pair ready to share a lifetime of adventures together.     If you are interested in adopting or foster to adopt please contact the rescue    August 3, 2026, 1:53 pm

Story
Pickles is a joyful, high-energy guy who absolutely loves people and thrives on interaction. He’s affectionate, social, and happiest when he’s engaged—whether that’s playtime, training, or heading out for an adventure. Pickles does great with other dogs and enjoys having canine friends. He’s very excitable and athletic, with an impressive jump, so he’ll do best with an active person or family who can give him regular exercise, structure, and positive outlets for his energy. He’s crate trained, food-motivated, and eager to learn. With consistency and enrichment, Pickles settles nicely and shows just how loving and devoted he can be. If you’re looking for a fun, enthusiastic companion who’s ready to keep up with an active lifestyle and give you endless affection in return, Pickles could be your perfect match. 💛

Story
Digby’s a 15 year old puppy. He’s got a massive heart in a small package. Despite his advanced age and occasional dexterous challenges, Digby can walk four hours and handles hikes with ease. He’s an absolute cuddle bug and massive sweetheart. He does struggle with separation anxiety, but this only manifests problematically on extended absences. If you do leave him for extended trips he will need to be boarded or sat since he’s used to spending his nights with people.
