After that she stayed nearby and calmly asked for love and safety, which I happily provided. She`s a little bit shy but once she knows you, she is IN. I was beyond in love with her- I was tempted to adopt her on the spot (too bad myhouse is beyond full already). She`s someone`s soul dog- I know this to my core. 2 yr old tricolor M/N Kelpie/GSD mix Looking for a dogs dog?? Gunner is your guy! He was comfortable enough around me, allowed touch, took treats, interacted some with me, but he really really wanted to play with the big dog in the next yard. He wasn't aloof though! Took treats gently, eager to please and loved being called a good boi, it was a fun yard time for both us us He does seem to be feeling the stress from the shelter, some have had some trouble getting him out of his kennel but he was perfectly behaved for me. This is an active breed, he will need consistent physical and mental exercise to be happy, it is likely what is causing his current stress and occasional barrier reactivity. It is worth noting that he was a very loud bork monster when I first approached his kennel but after 3 treats he was ready to follow me anywhere I was going Knows how to sit, walks well on the leash (just a tiny bit of pulling) and seemed potty trained!! ##2528145##

SHYA is a 1 year 3 month old Australian Kelpie, weighing about 28lbs. She was lost and taken to an overcrowded shelter where she was not claimed in time and was due to be euthanized, but was saved by an emergency foster at the last minute. She now needs her forever home as soon as possible. Shya is very sweet and loving, but a bit shy, timid and scared (non-aggressive, submissive), and needs preferably a female human with a little time and patience to help her learn to trust again. She settled into her foster home within a couple of hours, and is very playful and affectionate with her foster mom. She loves cuddles and belly rubs! Shya does suffer from some separation anxiety, and will need to be helped through this. Shya gets on well with other dogs. Submissive and cautious at first, she loves to chase and be chased by small dogs, or dogs her own size. Wrestling is also great fun! She is good with large, chill dogs, but scared of boisterous dogs, or dogs that bark continually. SHYA is fully housebroken, spayed, microchipped, and up-to-date on vaccinations. She is smart, with a lovely temperament, and will make a wonderful addition to a loving person’s life. Ozzie and Harriet look identical but we promise, in real life, it`s easier to tell them apart. Obviously they are siblings, high energy, super smart, would need a yard. They also must be adopted together. As typical with siblings in some ways they are super similar and in other ways they`re exact opposites. Ozzie is bigger and spottier and in the kennel he`s very protective, but in the yard all he wants isattention and affection. Harriet is more petite and perkier of ear. In the kennels she`s very avoidant and shy, but in the yard she was ready to play all day. Both are a bit leash reactive and pull- so that will need some consistant training with theirfamily. They`re both absolutely gorgeous and silly and fun and crazy smart. Ozzie has a sweet soul and will protect his loved ones. Harriet is a bit of a wild child and will chase a ball thrown by anyone willing. Adopting both of them will mean a tornado of energy has entered your life- but they also very much occupy each other. With dedication and training and being patient enough to learn where they merge or diverge from eachother- they are destined to bring endless joy and adventure into an adult family (very small childrenare likely not a great match for these energetic pups).
