Story
URGENT Courtesy Post: Owner Surrender/Rehoming- Birmingham, AL Meet Finn! He is an 3 year old Australian Shepherd and weighs 42 lbs. He is neutered, microchipped, up to date on shots, and on heartworm prevention. Finn is hostile around strangers! No kids, cats, or dogs, due to his reactivity! He is housebroken and crate-trained. Finn jumped on a kid and bit him when was playing swords with the owner’s son. Finn was trying to protect the owner’s son. The owner is surrendering him because he has become too territorial and aggressive when visitors come to their home. They have worked with several trainers, but he is still too unpredictable. He needs to go immediately! If you think you can provide a great home for Finn, please contact the owner listed below. There is a $150 rehoming fee to assure good folks with good intentions. This fee will be donated to Australian Shepherds Furever for their assistance in placing Finn. Owner’s Contact Information: John john.romano@raymondjames.com

Story
Sammy is a wonderful Australian Shepard. He is very sweet. He seems to have been abused by a male. So, it takes him a while to get close to people, particularly men. Just be patient and loving and he will return the love. Sammy has been with Sandy, a female Australian Shepard that looks like him, all his life and the two need to stay together.

Story
Meet Felix! This little adorable ball of fur was completely shut down and terrified when he first came to us from the shelter. Wow what a transformation! He is still timid and scared at first but wants so badly to just play, love, snuggle, and be loved! He LOVES to play with other dogs and will do best in a family with another friendly, playful pup to help continue building his confidence. He is a young adult - we are guessing around 1 year old, and about 30 lbs but could gain a pound or two. He will need a patient home that will work to build his confidence and begin to train him basic dog manners in a positive environment. He is not an option for transport so anyone interested in adopting Felix must come to Huntsville, AL to meet him. If you are interested in Felix please submit an application at forrescue.net

Story
Hi, I'm Pedro P! I'm suave and debonair and a bit shy and retiring too. I am about 3 years old and a red merle aussiex poodle mix (or so we think). I am a very sweet but shy guy. I love people and pets but it takes me a little while to trust new people because I don't think I was well treated in my previous life. That's OK, I'm moving on and up and just need some sweet understanding people in my new life. I am a super easy keeper - fully house trained, well mannered in the house and I love to be petted. I love going for walks and I just follow right along with you and don't misbehave. I do need a dog friend in my life, preferably female. I get along well with boy dogs, I just seem to bond better with girl dogs, especially playful ones. But if you have a playful boy dog I might like that too. I don't like being alone and will need a friend to help me with that. I am working on crate training and doing things for treats and I am loving that. I do have penchant for things on the floor (like shoes and weird dropped things) so my foster mom and foster buddies have been teaching me about dog toys and that seems to be going well. Because he is a shy guy Pedro isn't recommended for homes with small children or super busy noisy homes (they will scare him). He likes all people if not scared and does fine with cats and dogs. He should be fine with older kids who can understand he's scared. He doesn't handle change well so will need a lot of understanding for the first month or so, but he's settling into his foster home and routine given time to decompress. He's fully vetted and looked for a safe place to land and live out a stress free life.
