Story
Meet Enzo Enzo is an 8 year old 45 pound neutered male. He is a handsome Australian Shepherd mix with a loyal heart and a deep love for his people. He’s the kind of dog who always wants to know where you are and would happily spend his days right by your side. Enzo is looking for a home where someone is around often, as he truly thrives on companionship and being close to his person. He would do best as the only dog in the home so he can soak up all the attention and feel secure in his environment. While Enzo prefers not to share his people with other dogs, he is willing to peacefully coexist with cats. he loves to play fetch, sleep next to you on the couch, and go for walks. He’s smart, loving, sensitive, and incredibly devoted — the perfect companion for someone looking for a true best friend. If you’re searching for a loyal shadow who will love you endlessly, Enzo may be your perfect match. ##2711138##

Story
Hi, I’m Shadow. I’m a 3½yearold, 33pound Australian Shepherd blend who likes to ease into new friendships. I’m a quiet, observant and happy fella when I can take my time deciding when to step forward. Once I feel safe, I greet my people with soft enthusiasm and a gentle tail wag that says I’m glad you’re here. Favorite Things: Shadow enjoys cozy blankets, calm spaces and the freedom to relax without pressure. He’s not much of a toy fan and prefers doing his own thing, but once he’s comfortable, he settles nearby with quiet contentment. Training and Manners: He is house trained with regular outdoor breaks. Shadow walks nicely on a leash, rides politely in the car and sleeps in his dog bed at night. He’s still learning some basic manners, but he responds well to patient guidance. When left alone, he’s trustworthy; he simply gathers a blanket or two to build the perfect nap spot. Health and Care: Shadow is neutered, microchipped and current on vaccines. He’ll need monthly heartworm and flea/tick prevention. Regular brushing keeps his coat comfortable and helps him feel his best. Other Animals: He does well with dogs of all sizes and thrives in a home with more outgoing dogs that can help him with his confidence. His ideal home would have another dog to keep him company. He hasn’t met cats yet, but his calm nature suggests he may do fine with a slow introduction. Children: Shadow hasn’t lived with kids before. He should do well with older, dogsavvy children (10+) who understand his demeanor. Ideal Home: He would do well in an apartment, condo or townhome with regular outings. Shadow thrives in a quiet, predictable home with patient people who understand shy dogs. He doesn’t enjoy being approached directly, but when given space, he chooses connection on his own terms. Overall: Shadow is a gentle, introverted companion who blossoms slowly but deeply. He’s independent, lowkey and easy to live with, especially for someone who appreciates a calm, observant dog. Once he trusts you, he greets you with genuine warmth and settles into your life just as his name promises softly, steadily and always close by. Could Shadow be the one you’ve been looking for? Then head to www.PoodleandPoochRescue.org to fill out an adoption application. If it seems like a match, his foster family will contact you. His adoption donation is $400. ##2623466##

Story
Loki is nearly 6 years old and is a handsome dude. We adopted him 5 years ago as a puppy. He has had two rounds of levels of formal training school and is good with commands. He can be so sweet, so loving, and so loyal. Unfortunately since having kids and adapting to a busier life style, loki has had some behavioral changes. He has a temper and can be unpredictable. We have limited his interaction with our young children because it makes me nervous. He has also bitten one of us. He was playing with Loki and then stopped and then when he went to lean down again to snuggle with him he became possessive of his toy and snapped. With the way my husband was leaning it did cut him pretty severely and he had to go to the ER. We did formal training with him again and he listens to command so well but despite how much time and energy we give him, it doesn’t seem to be like enough. He has transitioned to a porch/outside dog during the day and he seems to enjoy that.

Story
We have to rehome him because he bit a family member and they didn’t want to take any risks and gave him to the pound. It didn’t break skin. Because of his skittishness and anxiousness he wouldn’t let anyone touch him and they were going to put him down. I saved him, however I have a 14 mo old and don’t have the time to work with him as I work full time. He’s not inherently aggressive just can get nervous/scared when new people come into the house. Out on walks he does better, but doesn’t like if someone comes up. Doesn’t bark that much on walks though. He hasn’t bit a stranger or anyone that comes into the house. Just barks and growls sometimes. He definitely likes to have his set people. He didn’t get the basic training he needs and someone who knows Aussies I think he will thrive. He has more behavioral fear aggression. I’m sure with the right training, possibly getting on Prozac and more attention he will do great. He’s really sweet and super smart under his anxiousness

Story
Hello, this is Brownie, also known as Babygirl. She was born on January 26th, 2024. She is currently 2 years old, weighs 55 pounds, and has a lively, energetic personality. Brownie is affectionate and cuddly, with leadership qualities, making her a bundle of fun. She was part of our family before we had a baby, but due to allergies from my young son, we’re seeking a new home for her. She received training at a professional K9 training facility, which has ensured her recall commands are reliable, she responds well to commands like 'place,' and she is sociable with other dogs and people. Ideally, I am looking for a loving home that can give her a comfortable backyard, plenty of attention, and time to maintain her health. She is currently on a raw beef diet, specifically the Instinct brand, because she cannot tolerate chicken-based foods. Her coat remains shiny and healthy, even though I groom her only once a month, which highlights her low-maintenance grooming needs.
