Story
Dylan is looking for his forever home! We believe he is 9 yo and don’t know much about his past. He came to ASF thin, scared, and matted. Despite his past, he has flourished in his foster home. Dylan is a black tri that is about 35lbs and has limited vision in his left eye, it is not a blue eye. He is very tolerant and does well with brushing, ear cleaning, nail trimming, teeth brushing, taking medication, ect. He is scared of the noise clippers make. He is not a fan of most forms of water but enjoys playing in the rain. He is a very low energy pup. He will do best in a home with someone who is retired or works from home. He is crate trained. He does not enjoy car rides or leash walks as they stress him out. He struggles with separation anxiety, as many Aussies do, but he also gets stress related poops. He is best kenneled if leaving the house to avoid messes. Dylan is a very sweet pup that is learning to love the good life. He enjoys strolls around the yard, rolling in the grass, and taking a nap at foster mom’s feet. He gets the zoomies anytime foster mom comes back from the grocery store. He is okay with other dogs as long as they allow him his space. Because of his vision he gets nervous when other dogs are in his face. He also does well with other small animals as he is very gentle. He does not climb or jump so you don’t have to worry about him hopping up on the couch or bed, unless you put him there. He is food motivated and gets very excited for meals. He has picked up some tricks from his fellow housemates, like giving his paw for pets, and pressing some of the talking buttons. He is sometimes nervous around new people but is quickly appeased with treats and pets. Dylan is a nervous Nelly that has had a tough life but is a very sweet and gentle boy. He has the best Dobby ears and bleps anytime he falls asleep. If you are looking for a low energy Aussie , Dylan may be your man! He is neutered and up to date on shots. Here is the link to the application: https://www.australianshepherdsfurever.org/adoption-application There is an additional $20 microchip fee which includes registration and transfer to his new furever family.

Story
Meet Bear, a striking, intelligent, and affectionate 5-year-old Australian Shepherd and German Shepherd mix who is ready to find a forever home where he can thrive. Bear is beautiful, smart, crate-trained, and full of energy. Bear has been raised around other dogs, including small breeds, and gets along well with them. He has excellent herding instincts and needs space to run, so a home with a fenced yard is ideal. Bear loves to play, is very loyal, and thrives with active owners who understand shepherd breeds. We’re rehoming him because we travel often now and want him to have the consistent love and attention he deserves. Although we are not asking for a rehoming fee, we ask for a proof of donation to any shelter of your choice for any amount. We’ll also be doing a background check to ensure he finds a safe, loving home. He’s an amazing dog and deserves the best.

Story
Apply to Adopt Me! My name is Oliver, or Ollie for cuteness. I am a charming, goofy, 48.6-lb, 1 1/2-year-old Australian Shepherd. Sadly, I was left behind to fend for myself when my family moved.  I possess a great temperament and super sweet personality, effortlessly forming connections with everyone I meet .  If the idea of a dog resting its head on your lap resonates with you, I’m your guy.  My favorite thing in life is being with my person and I tend to follow them everywhere. I do get some separation anxiety so someone who is home most of the time to stay by my side is ideal. Training to help me overcome this will certainly be helpful. Due to my puppy-like tendencies and not being accustomed to the sounds of city living, I require someone who is willing to assist with my training. I love walking on a leash as long as there are no distractions, but noises such as cars and bikes make me nervous. But my foster mom says that I have improved. I am an extremely intelligent boy, a quick learner and obedient. I prefer to sleep at night in close proximity to my family, and will sleep quietly on my bed all night. I relax in tandem with my surroundings and settled quickly into my foster home. Car rides are something I enjoy and, of course, doing things with my human. I am very eager to please. I benefit from the companionship of a friendly dog but I can adapt to a solo environment too. I do well with older children, but I may accidentally knock over a younger kid with my exuberance.  I am already a great dog, I just need training and guidance to be even better. I love to run and play with my toys in the yard, so an active family with a fenced yard and experience with my breed will be considered. I don't like being left outside in the yard without my humans; I just want to be where they are. If you live in the Central Florida/Orlando area and believe you have the perfect home for Oliver, complete an app and tell us more about you. November 26, 2025, 9:05 pm
