🚙 Meet Willie! One Good Man’s Best Friend! 🐾 Some dogs want to be the life of the party. Willie would rather be your right-hand man! This 4-year-old Australian Shepherd/Heeler mix is a loving, affectionate companion who enjoys leisurely walks, riding shotgun, and simply being near his favorite person. He has a special soft spot for men, but would be an excellent match for anyone searching for a loyal buddy. Willie’s looking for a quieter home where he can feel comfortable and understood. While we have not seen any behaviors from him since arriving at the shelter that would indicate he would have any issues with children, according to his previous family, Willie is not comfortable around young girls. This is reportedly due to a negative experience as a puppy, so because of this we feel a home without young children might be best. ❤️Beyond that, Willie has some pretty great roommate credentials! He’s housebroken, crate-trained, knows sit, stay, come, and down, and stays calm when left alone. He’s also lived with another dog previously, and when introduced to cats he seemed more nervous than anything else, so could likely live alongside a feline companion if the kitty is more laid back. To keep him feeling his best, Willie needs a salmon-based diet since chicken seems to trigger skin hot spots and stomach issues. Probiotics have helped him in the past though whenever he has had a flare up! Willie hopes his next chapter includes a favorite human, the passenger seat, and plenty of ordinary days made better by having a best friend beside him. Could that be you? 💙Requirements: Martingale Collar; Children 5yrs+; Salmon-based diet (chicken allergy)All of our dogs and cats are spayed/neutered, up to date with age appropriate vaccinations, heart worm or feleuk/FIV tested, fecal tested, rabies and tag, and microchipped before being placed in your home. Our adoption fee helps cover this cost.

Story
I rescued Brandy from Precious Paws, so I am not sure of her exact age. She was an adult dog when she came to live with me. Brandy has been my companion for 6 years. She appears to be a purebred Austrailian Shepherd based on looks and behavior; however, Precious Paws could not verify whether she was purebred or not. Brandy was well trained when she came to live with me. She seems to understand English as she listens and follows directions. She is playful and loves to run. She will take off if she is not on a leash. Precious Paws said that she ate Kibbles n' Bits, so I feed her 3/4 cup of Kibbles 'n Bits mixed with 3/4 cup of BJ's brand (berkely jensen) Deboned Chicken and Brown Rice Recipe. Brandy is motivated by food, so she gets healthy treats. Brandy is crate trained and eats in her crate which stays open most of the time. At 71, I have medical conditions that have caused increased debilitation. Brandy needs an owner that can better care for her.
