Story
Jett is a beautiful, active, intelligent, 5 year old Australian Shepherd mix who loves to stay busy and engaged. He enjoys walks, playtime, and learning new things, and would thrive in an active home.Jett is sweet and loyal once comfortable, but can be cautious around men and will need patience and slow introductions to build trust. After spending time with Jett, we believe he will do best in a home with older kids and no smaller pets. With consistency and positive reinforcement, his playful and loving personality shines. If you’re looking for a smart, energetic companion and are willing to give him time to settle in, Jett will make a wonderful addition to your family! No apartment style living for this boy!

Story
Looking for twice the love, twice the loyalty, and twice the Aussie charm? Brand and Rigby are a bonded pair of Australian Shepherds who balance each other out in the best way—and they’re ready to find a forever home together!Brand is a merle-and-white goofball with endless energy and a heart of gold. He’s the social butterfly of the duo, always ready to make new friends and always convinced every adventure is his adventure. Fetch, walks, swimming—you name it, he’s in! He sticks close to his people, knows a few tricks, crates well when home alone, and absolutely loves being brushed. Just make sure you’ve got a secure fence; Brand likes to test the boundaries! He has completed his heartworm treatment, is back to normal activity, and will need a follow-up test in six months, which HALO will cover.Rigby, his brown-and-white sister, is the gentle old soul of the pair. She’s calm, thoughtful, and happiest relaxing near her people. She enjoys quiet walks, light grooming sessions, and cozy crate time. She’s affectionate and people-oriented, preferring pets and cuddles over toys. Rigby can be a bit protective of her food around other pets, but she’s very easygoing and sweet with humans. She has completed treatment for Lyme disease and Ehrlichia and is feeling wonderful. These two complement each other beautifully—Brand brings the goofy enthusiasm, Rigby brings the mellow sweetness, and together they create the perfect balance of fun, companionship, and devotion.Brand and Rigby are currently thriving in a loving foster home. If you’re interested in adopting this dynamic duo, please fill out an adoption application and speak with our Front Office Staff about the next steps!Requirements: Martingale Collars; No Small Children (Rigby); Brand is Foster-To-Adopt (Heartworm Re-test)All of our dogs and cats are spayed/neutered, up to date with age appropriate vaccinations, heart worm or feleuk/FIV tested, fecal tested, rabies and tag, and microchipped before being placed in your home. Story
Hi, I’m Shadow. I’m a 3½yearold, 33pound Australian Shepherd blend who likes to ease into new friendships. I’m a quiet, observant and happy fella when I can take my time deciding when to step forward. Once I feel safe, I greet my people with soft enthusiasm and a gentle tail wag that says I’m glad you’re here. Favorite Things: Shadow enjoys cozy blankets, calm spaces and the freedom to relax without pressure. He’s not much of a toy fan and prefers doing his own thing, but once he’s comfortable, he settles nearby with quiet contentment. Training and Manners: He is house trained with regular outdoor breaks. Shadow walks nicely on a leash, rides politely in the car and sleeps in his dog bed at night. He’s still learning some basic manners, but he responds well to patient guidance. When left alone, he’s trustworthy; he simply gathers a blanket or two to build the perfect nap spot. Health and Care: Shadow is neutered, microchipped and current on vaccines. He’ll need monthly heartworm and flea/tick prevention. He does shed, so regular brushing keeps his coat comfortable and helps him feel his best. Other Animals: He does well with dogs of all sizes and thrives in a home with more outgoing dogs that can help him with his confidence. His ideal home would have another dog to keep him company. He hasn’t met cats yet, but his calm nature suggests he may do fine with a slow introduction. Children: Shadow hasn’t lived with kids before. He should do well with older, dogsavvy children (10+) who understand his demeanor. Ideal Home: He would do well in an apartment, condo or townhome with regular outings. Shadow thrives in a quiet, predictable home with patient people who understand shy dogs. He doesn’t enjoy being approached directly, but when given space, he chooses connection on his own terms. Overall: Shadow is a gentle, introverted companion who blossoms slowly but deeply. He’s independent, lowkey and easy to live with, especially for someone who appreciates a calm, observant dog. Once he trusts you, he greets you with genuine warmth and settles into your life just as his name promises softly, steadily and always close by. Could Shadow be the one you’ve been looking for? Then head to www.PoodleandPoochRescue.org to fill out an adoption application. If it seems like a match, his foster family will contact you. His adoption donation is $400. ##2623466##

Story
KayKay is a 3 year old shepherd/herding breed mix. As is common with many herding breeds, KayKay is apprensive of strangers and needs time to warm up to new people. She needs a patient adopter (ideally with prior herding breed experience) who will give her time to warm up and get comfortable with them. She would also do best in a quieter household that does not have tons of new people coming in and out all of the time. She is housebroken and well behaved at home. She gets along well with other dogs. No kitties please. She is kid friendly with proper introductions. Adoption fee: $150. KayKay is spayed and current on vaccines. She comes with 30 days of pet insurance through MetLife, a free bath and nail trim through scenthound and free professional training classes. ##2668115##
