Story
Meet Bear, a striking, intelligent, and affectionate 5-year-old Australian Shepherd and German Shepherd mix who is ready to find a forever home where he can thrive. Bear is beautiful, smart, crate-trained, and full of energy. Bear has been raised around other dogs, including small breeds, and gets along well with them. He has excellent herding instincts and needs space to run, so a home with a fenced yard is ideal. Bear loves to play, is very loyal, and thrives with active owners who understand shepherd breeds. We’re rehoming him because we travel often now and want him to have the consistent love and attention he deserves. He needs a safe, loving home. He’s an amazing dog and deserves the best.

Story
Dylan is looking for his forever home! We believe he is 9 yo and don’t know much about his past. He came to ASF thin, scared, and matted. Despite his past, he has flourished in his foster home. Dylan is a black tri that is about 35lbs and has limited vision in his left eye, it is not a blue eye. He is very tolerant and does well with brushing, ear cleaning, nail trimming, teeth brushing, taking medication, ect. He is scared of the noise clippers make. He is not a fan of most forms of water but enjoys playing in the rain. He is a very low energy pup. He will do best in a home with someone who is retired or works from home. He is crate trained. He does not enjoy car rides or leash walks as they stress him out. He struggles with separation anxiety, as many Aussies do, but he also gets stress related poops. He is best kenneled if leaving the house to avoid messes. Dylan is a very sweet pup that is learning to love the good life. He enjoys strolls around the yard, rolling in the grass, and taking a nap at foster mom’s feet. He gets the zoomies anytime foster mom comes back from the grocery store. He is okay with other dogs as long as they allow him his space. Because of his vision he gets nervous when other dogs are in his face. He also does well with other small animals as he is very gentle. He does not climb or jump so you don’t have to worry about him hopping up on the couch or bed, unless you put him there. He is food motivated and gets very excited for meals. He has picked up some tricks from his fellow housemates, like giving his paw for pets, and pressing some of the talking buttons. He is sometimes nervous around new people but is quickly appeased with treats and pets. Dylan is a nervous Nelly that has had a tough life but is a very sweet and gentle boy. He has the best Dobby ears and bleps anytime he falls asleep. If you are looking for a low energy Aussie , Dylan may be your man! He is neutered and up to date on shots. Here is the link to the application: https://www.australianshepherdsfurever.org/adoption-application There is an additional $20 microchip fee which includes registration and transfer to his new furever family.

Story
Looking for twice the love, twice the loyalty, and twice the Aussie charm? Brand and Rigby are a bonded pair of Australian Shepherds who balance each other out in the best way—and they’re ready to find a forever home together!Brand is a merle-and-white goofball with endless energy and a heart of gold. He’s the social butterfly of the duo, always ready to make new friends and always convinced every adventure is his adventure. Fetch, walks, swimming—you name it, he’s in! He sticks close to his people, knows a few tricks, crates well when home alone, and absolutely loves being brushed. Just make sure you’ve got a secure fence; Brand likes to test the boundaries! He has completed his heartworm treatment, is back to normal activity, and will need a follow-up test in six months, which HALO will cover.Rigby, his brown-and-white sister, is the gentle old soul of the pair. She’s calm, thoughtful, and happiest relaxing near her people. She enjoys quiet walks, light grooming sessions, and cozy crate time. She’s affectionate and people-oriented, preferring pets and cuddles over toys. Rigby can be a bit protective of her food around other pets, but she’s very easygoing and sweet with humans. She has completed treatment for Lyme disease and Ehrlichia and is feeling wonderful. These two complement each other beautifully—Brand brings the goofy enthusiasm, Rigby brings the mellow sweetness, and together they create the perfect balance of fun, companionship, and devotion.Brand and Rigby are currently thriving in a loving foster home. If you’re interested in adopting this dynamic duo, please fill out an adoption application and speak with our Front Office Staff about the next steps!Requirements: Martingale Collars; No Small Children (Rigby); Brand is Foster-To-Adopt (Heartworm Re-test)All of our dogs and cats are spayed/neutered, up to date with age appropriate vaccinations, heart worm or feleuk/FIV tested, fecal tested, rabies and tag, and microchipped before being placed in your home. Our adoption fee helps cover this cost.

Story
We are looking to responsibly rehome our one-year-old Australian Shepherd/Cattle Dog Mix due to safety concerns with children. He is NOT suitable for a home with kids, which is the sole reason for this difficult decision. He is currently intact, with a neuter scheduled for January 16th, 2026. He has been professionally trained since 5 months of age, including obedience and behavior work, using positive e-collar training. He is fully potty trained, crate trained, and obedience trained. He is a highly intelligent, driven dog who would do best in a kid-free home with an experienced handler. He does exhibit boundary aggression and resource guarding, and because of this, he is muzzle conditioned. He thrives with structure, consistency, and continued training. We are seeking a loving, committed home that understands working breeds and is willing to continue his training and provide clear leadership. Please reach out if you feel you could offer the experienced, kid-free home he needs.
