Story
Meet Bear, a striking, intelligent, and affectionate 5-year-old Australian Shepherd and German Shepherd mix who is ready to find a forever home where he can thrive. Bear is beautiful, smart, crate-trained, and full of energy. Bear has been raised around other dogs, including small breeds, and gets along well with them. He has excellent herding instincts and needs space to run, so a home with a fenced yard is ideal. Bear loves to play, is very loyal, and thrives with active owners who understand shepherd breeds. We’re rehoming him because we travel often now and want him to have the consistent love and attention he deserves. Although we are not asking for a rehoming fee, we ask for a proof of donation to any shelter of your choice for any amount. We’ll also be doing a background check to ensure he finds a safe, loving home. He’s an amazing dog and deserves the best.

Story
Meet Cyrus! He is a 3 year old Australian shepherd or cattle dog mix. Poor Cyrus came into the shelter shaking from head to toe. He was absolutely petrified of all the dogs barking and everything in the shelter. Despite how scared he was, he rolled over and showed his stomach. He accepted pets and love, and just wanted to be comforted. We went straight to his aid and brought him home. While we are just getting to know him, so far he is a very loyal velcro dog that just wants to be with his people. He is really opening up, and just wants to be loved. He will paw you for more pets, and wags his tail like he is remembering how amazing it is to be out of the shelter. Cyrus is heartworm positive and has started treatment. We will pay for all his treatment, even if he is adopted. Heartworm treatment is very manageable and he does not show any symptoms, so he is ready to go home now. His adoption application can be found at www.mysaltydog.com.

Story
We are looking to rehome our dog, Winston, to the right home only. Winston is a handsome, intelligent, and loyal dog who thrives in a calm, structured environment. He bonds closely with his person and does best with someone who understands dog behavior and can provide clear leadership and consistency. About Winston: • Neutered male • House trained • Very smart and eager to learn • Loyal and protective once he trusts you • Does best in a predictable, low-stress environment What Winston Needs: Winston needs to be the only pet in the home and should not be placed with children. He does best with an experienced dog owner who understands boundaries, structure, and how to properly manage introductions and behavior. He is not a “dog park” or highly social dog — he thrives in a home where he can feel secure and not overwhelmed. Ideal Home: • No other pets • No children • Experienced dog owner • Calm, structured household • Someone committed to giving him time to decompress and adjust
