Please visit our website for more information on the adoption process and to complete an adoption application. https://www.pawliferescuegroup.org/adoption-resources Sadie is the sweetest girl! A 60-pound,Australian Shepherd and Lab Mix. She came to the rescue overweight and has put in the work to get healthy again! Sadie is house broken, does well at home alone, and loves walks! She is good with kids of all ages and does well with other dogs with the right introductions. Puppies or high energy dogs might be a challenge as she likes her own space but with proper introductions she gets along with anyone. Cats are unknown. At 7 years old, she is calm and easy going but still has some young energy in her and would do best with someone who can commit to walking her daily. She is very vocal and will tell you exactly when she needs something. She loves people and is content to just be with you and would make a great companion for any type of household! Located in Pinellas County, Florida.

Story
Nutmeg is an incredibly sweet, loving, and loyal dog. She does have some serious behavioral issues and needs an adopter who can handle her energy needs. She is amazing with cats, very gentle and affectionate and loves to play. She is great with other dogs too, as long as she is introduced properly. She is fully trained. Nutmeg is very chatty and expressive, so she'll always have an opinion! Her issue is generally with people, where she becomes fearful and reactive. She is not good with kids at all. She needs someone experienced with reactive dogs who can give her the attention she needs. Once she is comfortable, she is incredibly obedient, affectionate, and loyal. She generally does well in public settings, but has a hard time meeting new people, especially indoors. A good home for Nutmeg would be someone who can keep up with her training and knows how to handle very very anxious dogs. She would love a cat friend to play with.

Story
PLEASE READ THE ANIMAL’S PROFILE AND ALL NOTES BELOW BEFORE APPLYING! Hi, I’m Acadia 🩵🐾 I’m a 1-year-old Australian Shepherd/ Staffordshire mix with the perfect mix of playful energy and cuddly sweetness. I love exploring the yard, sniffing all the new smells, and then curling right up next to my people for snuggles afterward 🩵 I’m a curious, affectionate girl who enjoys being part of whatever’s going on. I’m a little more outgoing than my best friend Denali, but I’m still very gentle and loving. I’m friendly with people, calm around other dogs, and always happy to greet you with a wag and a little nuzzle 🐶 I already know “sit” and I’m learning new commands quickly—especially if treats are involved! I’m also working on my leash manners and gaining confidence every day. I’m crate trained, doing great with routines, and making awesome progress with potty training. I can sometimes be a little nervous in new situations, but I warm up quickly and love having reassurance from the people I trust. I’m mostly quiet, though I may give a bark or two when I hear something exciting or unfamiliar—just enough to keep life interesting 😂 Most importantly, I’m deeply bonded with my best friend Denali. She helps me feel grounded, and I help bring out her playful side. We balance each other perfectly, and I would absolutely love to be adopted with her 🩵🐾 My ideal home would be loving, patient, and ready for two sweet girls who just want companionship, cozy naps, and a safe place to belong. We’d thrive in a calm home with gentle routines, lots of affection, and maybe a yard to explore together. 🩵 A word from my foster: “Acadia is such a fun and loving girl. She’s playful, affectionate, and always wants to be close to her people. Watching her and Denali together is the sweetest thing—they truly comfort each other and make such a special pair. Anyone lucky enough to adopt them will have two incredibly loving best friends.” Acadia is Heartworm Positive! Acadia is bonded with Denali; if they cannot be adopted together, a doggy sibling is required. Adoption FEE: $350, which includes her spay, microchip, and vaccines. It is also a donation to go directly back to us to help us continue to rescue more animals. A Mercy Full Project (MFP) Adoption Application MUST BE COMPLETED in order for you to be considered as a potential adopter. By filling out the MFP Adoption Application you agree and understand that ADOPTION IS NOT GUARANTEED. We are not first come, first served and submitting an application does NOT guarantee adoption. You will be contacted by an Adoption Coordinator once your application has gone through the approval process. Please ONLY APPLY IF you are ready to commit to adoption.
